DO YOU HAVE IT?

Of Monarchy and Hereditary Succession MANKIND being originally equals in the order of creation, the equality could only be destroyed by some subsequent circumstance: the distinctions of rich and poor may in a great measure be accounted for, and that without having recourse to the harsh ill-sounding names of oppression and avarice. Oppression is often the CONSEQUENCE, but seldom or never the MEANS of riches; and tho' avarice will preserve a man from being necessitously poor, it generally makes him too timorous to be wealthy. But there is another and great distinction for which no truly natural or religious reason can be assigned, and that is the distinction of men into KINGS and SUBJECTS. Male and female are the distinctions of nature, good and bad the distinctions of Heaven; but how a race of men came into the world so exalted above the rest, and distinguished like some new species, is worth inquiring into, and whether they are the means of happiness or of misery to mankind

I'd like to see a hotlist of current internet polls (or on-going) internet polls, a list that grassfire members could add to when we stumble onto polls that need more conservative representation. I've been active on a poll-site called ask500people.com and have been growing frustrated with the domination of the site by liberals [I encourage grassfire members to visit it - please, I need help there LOL]. I know there are others out there as well that could be listed on such a hotlist.

Create a new Forum category called Economics

The lives of most of us revolve about the issue of economics. We are profoundly affected by what the Federal, State and Local Governments do that could be classified under such a heading. Perhaps others who see this post can further define such a category. It appears that in the years ahead, with rising inflation due to many factors, this could bring much interest into posting on FS. It also has the potential for enriching those who visit this site, though maybe a disclaimer is warranted on that point. Politics, as anyone recognizes, is profoundly influenced by economics, as are issues such as illegal immigration, for example. And as detractors like to point out in the back and forth of political debate, "It's the Economy, Stupid!"

I saw on a thread somewhere today the mention that you couldn't tell which state a poster was from. I've noticed that also, and you sometimes can find out (hit or miss) by reading posts, but it would be nice to see beside the poster's username?

LACK OF FOCUS ON KEY ISSUES

This forum started out with a focus on key border issues and now it has branched out into the same ole issues that you hear every day on every news outlet in the nation. We as a society will never get any place on anything without focus on key issues. Just like Michael Savage says Borders, Language and Culture. Boils down to 3 simple concepts close the damn border, speak english only and maintain the culture that we were given by our ancestors.

Praise for fairness at FireSociety

I am sure that everyone has thier own biases. However I had an experience on another site that has left me with the opinion that Firesociety.com has about as fair a group of moderators as I have seen on any mix issue/candidate forum. I know I will not be banned for expressing my opinion respectfully on this site and it is very appreciated. For the curious, in my continuing campaign of forum interventionism, in support of Ron Paul, I have gone all over the place. I went to the DailyKos and was handed an open can of whoopass, but not banned (even thou, I unknowingly broke their rules). Someone on there pointed me toward redstate.com and in a few short hours I was summarily bant for some non defined reason. I have a few people who agree with my views here but more importantly I think I have moderators who DO NOT agree with my views, but have not banned me yet. Thanks, bcmiller

Hazleton, Pennsylvania's Illegal Immigration Law Shot Down by Activist Judge

Let's help save our country by helping these folks out! READ MORE ABOUT THIS ISSUE AT http://www.smalltowndefenders.com/pub... Please make donations to help Hazelton fight the legal battle all the way up to the Supreme Court at: http://www.smalltowndefenders.com/pub... "...On July 26, 2007, federal Judge James Munley of the Middle District of Pennsylvania issued an opinion striking down the efforts of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, to address the consequences of illegal immigration within its jurisdiction. In Hazleton, the impact of illegal immigration has been severe. Illegal aliens have committed several murders in the past two years in a town that previously saw murder occur only once about every seven years. Drug-trafficking and gun-running gangs comprised mostly of illegal aliens, MS-13 included, moved to this sleepy town. Drug crimes increased, with illegal aliens representing 30 percent of those arrested. Predictably, as soon as Hazleton passed its ordinance, the ACLU, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF), and liberal allies at the silk-stocking Philadelphia law firm of Cozen O’Connor took Hazleton to court. The ACLU advanced a grab-bag of legal theories against Hazelton. It claimed that cities and states cannot impose sanctions on employers who hire unauthorized aliens -- when in fact ...

Need For "Umbrella Group" Of Anti-Illegal Sites

We need to have a site where all the people who are fighting the illegal immigration issue will come, so that we can get a better idea of how many of us there really are. I know that I belong to several groups, but I don't really know how many people agree with my stand. We are all furiously fighting the same thing but, in all different directions, which is good. However, we also need to know that there is one place where we can all go to give our opinions on the next election and find out how many we really are. I don't think anyone really knows. I am proposing that a national ad could be run, frequently, letting everyone know where they can go to sign up. Fox News would probably run the ad, and during Lou Dobbs program would be a good start. There must be a way to guarantee that each of us is a bonafide citizen, before we are allowed to post anything. What does Steve Elliott, William Gheen, Roy Beck, Michelle Malkin and the Minutemen think of all this?
