Hello Arizona, I have been watching the signs pop up all over town with people running for Congress and Today NUMBERS USA released it's latest Immigration Reform ratings. I must say that as aperson living in the 5th district there is not ONE candidate who is committed to stopping the illegal invasion. There is the putrid incumbent Harry Mitchell and six RINO's running in the primary for a chance to be just like him on immigration. Good Lord, I hope there is a libertarian coming to this district. We have only two candidates announced who have recieved a positive rating and unfortunately BOTH are running in the same congressional district (8th). http://www.betterimmigration.com/candidates/2008/az.html See for yourself where things stand and if we can figure out how to get someone to stand up for a sovereign America and the rule of law we could support them as a grroup. I will vote for whichever candidate will restore funding to the border fence. So far I have contacted Mark Anderson via email on his website and asked about the bottom line of his street signs where "Secure the Border" is listed right under "civility in politics " he answered in the typical whitewash about securing ...

Judicial Hellholes and their findings

Judicial Hell holes are the most sought after places of the litigation tourists. Such places have a disproportionate impact on the civil litigation. These tourists approach such places, guided by the personal injury lawyers, in search of a positive outcome like an excessive verdict or settlement, a favorable precedent, or both. In the year 2005, six Judicial Hell holes have been identified. These being Rio Grande Valley and Gulf Coast, Texas; Cook County, Illinois; West Virginia; Madison County, Illinois; St. Clair County, Illinois; and South Florida. There have been few which are on the watch list for the possibility of becoming Judicial Hellholes in near future. These are mainly due to the negative developments taking place in the litigation environment of these areas. Such areas include California; Eastern Kentucky; Eastern Alabama; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New Mexico; Delaware; Oklahoma; Orleans Parish, Louisiana; and Washington, D.C. The Judicial Hell Hole designation is attributed to a number of factors. These include prevalence of forum shopping, the willingness of courts to expand liability through novel legal theories, discovery abuse, improper certification of class actions, the proliferation of junk science, strong alliances between plaintiffs' lawyers, judges and attorneys general, and the uneven application of evidentiary rules. ...

Arizona Seeks Guest Worker Program Approval

Now Arizona is trying to push it's own guest worker agenda: Bills seek temporary foreign-worker program Ronald J. Hansen The Arizona Republic Feb. 8, 2008 07:32 PM With a federal guest-worker program seemingly off the table, some Arizona lawmakers want Washington to let them try. Bills filed last week in Arizona's House and Senate seek to create a temporary foreign-worker program that its supporters hope could serve as a model for the country. Sen. Marsha Arzberger, D-Willcox, and Rep. Bill Konopnicki, R-Safford, noted early support for the bills, especially in the business community. They acknowledged their plan would require permission from Congress but could not gauge support at this point. "The federal government won't do it," Arzberger said of the inability to pass federal immigration reforms. "We need workers for our economy." Konopnicki stressed that the bills would create a two-year test program that allowed only legal immigrants from Mexico who would be screened and monitored. At least 27 lawmakers have signed on as sponsors to the bills, 18 Democrats and nine Republicans. Colorado lawmakers are considering making a request for a similar guest-worker program. But critics suggested the idea of Arizona regulating guest workers is flatly wrong. "It's ...

Immigration Enforcement Funds Slashed in Arizona

May 14, 2008, 10:22 am By Mike Nizza Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County (Photo: Rick Scibelli Jr. for The New York Times) A fight has erupted in Arizona, pitting the state’s governor against a county lawman known as “ America’s Toughest Sheriff ,” and the hunt for illegal immigrants against the hunt for felons on the loose. According to several reports , Gov. Janet Napolitano has signed an executive order shifting $1.6 million out of the budget for a task force set up to unravel human smuggling networks in the state, and reassigning the money to a new effort to round up tens of thousands of fugitives. The cutbacks were not shared across Arizona’s 15 counties. Rather, they were aimed at just one county — Maricopa — and its controversial sheriff, Joe Arpaio. In the 1990’s, he made national headlines for erecting a tent-city jail serving green bologna sandwiches. More recently, his methods of cracking down on illegal immigration have cast him as both hero and demagogue — for the same reasons . “Does this mean that serving felony warrants is more or less important than illegal-immigration enforcement?” Jeanine L’Ecuyer, a spokeswoman for the governor’s office, told The Arizona ...

More Border Fence Lies

More Border Fence Lies The Peter Morrison Report At some point, this report will be devoted to news that will bring a smile to your face. Anger and incredulity at the events of the day will be a thing of the past. That is why in the face of deceit, broken promises and government lies, we can't back down now, for the inheritance handed down by our forefathers rests upon our shoulders. We must press forward and engage the liars and deceivers, and when the time comes vote them out of office The hard working patriots of Texas and of the other states that comprise the United States of America must continue, especially when confronted with the news of the latest government (Bush Administration) betrayal. The Washington Post reports: "The Bush administration has scaled back plans to quickly build a "virtual fence" along the U.S.-Mexico border, delaying completion of the first phase of the project by at least three years and shifting away from a network of tower-mounted sensors and surveillance gear, federal officials said yesterday." The first phase of this virtual fence won't be deployed now until nearly 2012, instead of the planned installation by the end of this year. ...

TEXAS - Here goes Pretty Boy Perry flip-flopping again

Why would ANYONE ever believe ANYTHING Rick Perry ever says? If people think the presidential candidates flip-flop, can you believe this guy! What a joke and embarassment! Perry says he now supports border fences By JAY ROOT Star-Telegram staff writer --> Rick Perry AUSTIN -- Gov. Rick Perry issued some of his toughest talk yet on immigration and border security Thursday, saying he favors border fences in some areas while flatly advising Mexican workers who want U.S. citizenship to get in line "just like everybody else." [Say what?] The remarks came during one of the longest and most wide-ranging news conferences Perry has held in months. The governor displayed his trademark swagger as he discussed his endorsement of Republican presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain, the perils of a Hillary Clinton White House and his controversial order to destroy office e-mail once a week despite criticism from open-government activists. Hundreds of e-mails from Perry's office, some of them embarrassing, were saved by a citizen activist and have spilled into the open. In them are internal policy discussions about border security, Perry's focus on promoting Rudy Giuliani for president and candid exchanges among top staff members. But Perry dismissed the flap over his ...

The law requires businesses to verify that all their employees are legally entitled to work in the US, or face the prospect of being closed down. The tougher penalties were introduced days after President Bush's immigration reform bill failed in the Senate. Arizona is one of the main gateways for illegal migration into the US. Federal failure Under the new legislation, an employer's first offence would be punished by a temporary licence suspension. Congress finds itself incapable of coping with the comprehensive immigration reforms our country needs Janet Napolitano Governor of Arizona Q&A: US immigration debate US illegal immigrants: Facts A second offence would be punished by what the governor's office called the "business death penalty" - the permanent revocation of a licence to do business in Arizona. Ms Napolitano said she had acted because she believed Congress in Washington was incapable of tackling immigration reform on a nationwide level. "Immigration is a federal responsibility, but it is now abundantly clear that ...
