I receive constant news updates from Media Research Center as well as petitions. I received this today and thought I would pass it along. What is most disturbing to me is the "LACK" or at least the "Apparent Lack" of concern which is reflected by the minute number of petitions that have been signed. 66,000?????????? Where is America? Where are the American Citizens????? Whether you agree with me or not on my Christian Faith and belief right now is not important, what is important is that my right to "Speak" both verbally and written about my faith is in jeapardy as well as your right to "Speak" either in favor or against me. Right now they are targeting talk radio and if they succeed then they will come after the internet and groups like this. They are already trying to make it illegal for me to teach what the Bible says about homosexuality by classifying it as a "hate crime" and though they have not succeeded they are still trying. But now he has received some good news on both fronts.     The New York Department of Transportation has been locking horns with Burritt since citing him for displaying a personal, religious message on a tractor trailer inside his property last year -- allegedly in violation of state highway laws that require permits for non-commercial messages.   Alliance Defense Fund  legal counsel Matt Bowman says Burritt allowed ADF to file a suit on his behalf after a May 2008 letter from NYDOT set a deadline for him to remove the trailer or face forcible removal and legal action. At the same time, the town of Gouverneur filed criminal charges against him in a separate action.   But according to Bowman, Buritt got some good news last week. He explains what happened.   "I was instructed that I needed to go to the 'free-speech zone,' which was on the other side of the Liberty Bell Center, away from the people that we were attempting to speak with and reach with our [gospel] tracts," says Marcavage. "This was a main thoroughfare where there are, throughout the day, thousands of people that pass by.
