United Nations: Kill Babies to Cool Down the Planet

The United Nations is at it again! Hide your kids! In another attempt to lay a guilt trip on the United States for not signing Kyoto, a UN report will soon tell us that developing nations such as China and India are reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than Kyoto Protocol standards. The implication of course is that if China can do it, then why not the USA and Western Europe? Once again, it's America's fault! The UN report is an outright fabrication, even preposterous! But even more shocking is how the UN and China say they've accomplished this great feat. The fact is, China is awash in unregulated pollution. The respected journal, Geophysical Research Letters , recently reported that air pollution is out of contorl in China. "Antiquated factories billow smoke, many residents still use coal to heat their centuries-old houses, and a sharp increase in car ownership has bathed the motorways in exhaust fumes," the report concluded. USA Today recently wrote that outside of Beijing, local chemical factories dump wastewater directly into the Feng Chan river, which is now black as ink. Nearby canals are so discolored, locals call it xiao hong he , or "little red river." Do you want to see if for yourself? NASA images trace the Asian plume as ...

A Tsunami of Lies from Time Magazine

Being relatively new to the blogosphere, I anticipated my job here would be hard work and time-consuming. But I'm finding that the irresponsibility of the mainstream media makes my job quite easy. I am starting to feel like a contestant on the new Jeff Foxworthy game show, "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" This week Time Magazine gets an "F" in scientific journalism - and a big heartfelt thanks from me for making my job as a blogger so easy! Read on... In a recent Time cover story article (April 16) entitled "It's Hip to Be Green," Time correspondent Anna Kuchment proclaims that young people have "woken up the the realities of global warming." She cites a recent survey that says a majority of teens believe we need to take "immediate, drastic" action. She goes on to say that this generation is the first to feel the effects of climate change so dramatically because of freakish weather patterns and tragedies like the "Christmas 2004 tsumani." She writes that what scares kids the most are "horrible TV images of bad weather like....the tsuanmi." Anna Kuchmant, are you smarter than a 5th grader? What about your boss, Time's Managing Editor, Richard Stengel? Did he pass Elementary school science? Wikipedia describes a tsunami as "a series of waves ...

Global Warming Deaths On the Rise?

Global Warming Deaths on the Rise! When I read this headline yesterday, my first reaction was that it might be a spoof. An attention grabber or an overdue April fool’s Day joke. Surely they are not already claiming large scale death due to alleged warming climates. I thought that was on the table for the next generation, like for my children. Are people already dying?! This must be a shaggy dog story. But then I read on…. “About 160,000 people die every year from side effects of global warming ranging from malaria to malnutrition, a group of WHO scientists said Tuesday. What’s more, they projected the “disease burden caused by climate change could almost double by 2020.” 160,000 deaths year, huh? Every year? Which year? Who was the first guy to die? And wow, how many years has THIS been occurring?! You can see where I am taking this. This is exactly the kind of “study” that makes for big headlines. Death and destruction on the rise, backed by credible science. It’s enough to make me run for cover under the Kyote treaty. Or so they’d hope. WHO is at it once again. They ...

Pelosi's Global Warming Solution

Nancy Pelosi recently said of global warming, "The new scientific report on global warming warns that warming is already affecting the earth and that the effects are likely to be significant and widepread in this century, causing drought, water shortages, and widespread extinction of species." Now I disagree with Pelosi's assessment. I don't think there's any real evidence that our earth is warming, at least not unnaturally. But let's say I give this issue to her. OK Nancy, I'm a little worried, so go ahead and do something about it. Tell me Nancy, what should we do? What is Pelosi's solution? She has none. For all her frantic clammoring, Nancy Pelosi has not announced a Democratic plan for substantive change to our environmental laws. You'd think this topic would be at the very top of the Democrat's agenda. They say if we don't do anything, the world will soon end, right? But instead the Democrats used their first 100 days to push for lower interest rates on student loans and an incipid increase in the minimum wage. Why aren't the Democrats pushing for an overhaul in automobile emmission standards? Why aren't they forcing us to replace incandescence light bulbs with fluorescence light bulbs? Or limit the amount of electricity we use? If ...

Stuck in the Snow

Carl Jung coined the notion of the Collective Unconscious. The theory is that when shielded by the anonymity of a crowd, people will abandon their personal values to surrender to the contagious emotions of the crowd. A crowd thus assumes a life of its own, stirring up emotions and driving people toward irrational action. Freud called it Crowd Psychology. Liberalism depends on the Collective Unconscious to move ahead it's global warming agenda. How's that? Leftwing political activists know that it does not matter if it's hot or cold outside. What matters is that if enough Americans BELIEVE it's hot, then indeed it will be hot. And the more Americans that believe it's getting hotter, the hotter it will get. Then eventually it will get so hot, America will ask the Government to step in and make it colder - even if that means a loss of our Constitutional rights. They need the Collective Unconsious because nobody can proove Global Warming, nor can we even FEEL it. I experienced this phenomenon myself yesterday. I was in Denver stuck at the airport. A late winter storm had stopped air traffic. It was snowing, and it was cold. But a young teenage girl sitting next to me was explaining to her friends how she was "so" worried about ...

Who's Stranded?

A recent headline on the popular UK website, DailyMail.co.uk, screamed "Global Warming Sees Polar Bears Stranded on Melting Ice." The article was accompanied by a photograph of two polar bears standing atop a small iceberg. They had a forloned, defenseless look on their bear faces. My heart went out to the little guys. But then...I couldn't help but wonder if the frightened look wasn't from the helipcopter hovering overhead as the Envirophotographer came in real clos to snap his pictures. It couldn't be because the polar bears were lost or homeless, because the last time I went to Sea World, polar bears COULD SWIM! Can you lose a bear on a piece of melting ice? Can't they just swim to the next piece of ice, then the next piece, and so on. Sometimes if you listen long and hard enough to Global Warming advocates, you'd think the entire ice cap was already gone. But indeed it still stretches for thousands of miles, even if it has melted at all. I doubt very much there are many stranded bears out there. But this picture sure tugs at our hearts. The poor little bears. They are all stranded out there. Thousands of them, hugging onto little ice cubes, nearly drowning. ...
