The bill -- known as the Veterans Disarmament Act to its opponents -- is being praised by the National Rifle Association and the Brady Campaign. The Brady Bunch crowed "Victory! U.S. Congress Strengthens Brady Background Check System." The NRA stated that last minute changes to the McCarthy bill made a "good bill even better [and that] the end product is a win for American gun owners." But Gun Owners of America has issued public statements decrying this legislation. The core of the bill's problems is section 101(c)(1)(C), which makes you a "prohibited person" on the basis of a "medical finding of disability," so long as a veteran had an "opportunity" for some sort of "hearing" before some "lawful authority" (other than a court). Presumably, this "lawful authority" could even be the psychiatrist ... HR 4088 refered to as The SAVE act. On the surface this looks like definate enforcement. It is not !! Congress and Senate have tried to force feed the American public amnesty for illegal aliens and we have defeated their every effort. So of course I question this sudden change of heart. I strongly urge everyone to google thomas.gov there is a search bar in the middle of the page type in HR 4088 then check the circle on the right and hit search. This will take you straight to the complete text of the bill. I warn you in advance it is looong ! I don't mind telling you I hate trying to read these things. They are are full of legal language and unless you are a lawyer it is very aggravating. Click on each of the three hundred plus sections and read, skim through what you don't quickly understand but look closely at the wording. In everyone of the sections you will find wording such as " appropriation of funds as available". This entire bill is full of loopholes ... As time went on the more facts I learned the more angry I became. Following on the heals of that I learned the facts of how our government has allowed illegal aliens to invade our country. Through these forums I was able to connect with Americans from all across this nation. All of us were  united in helping to right these wrongs. Then a small significant post, a promise from Steve Elliott to help us with an idea for a mass snail mail was very encouraging. A bit further in the thread as we were really gearing up and everyone was coming together on the what, when and where, Steve came in and made another post. A post that basicly said "FS team is working on xxx idea for this and will be updating you soon." That post affected our group more by what it did not say, but implied. It divided us instead of uniting us. I was shocked because all it would have taken to keep us united were a few words. It to us was never a matter of my idea is better than ...
