Founding Fathers and our Declaration of Independence

As we approach the upcoming July 4th holiday, lets recall what John Quincy Adams, our 5th President said on July 4th, 1837 on the 61st Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. " W hy is it that, next to the birth-day of the Saviour of the World, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day [4th of July]? . . . Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birth-day of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birth-day of the Saviour? That it forms a leading event in the progress of the gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer's mission upon earth? That it laid the corner stone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity?" When people say we are not a Christian based nation they are mistaken!!Our founding is based on principles of the Holy Bible. Please checkout a resource on this matter, www.trumpetofheritage.org . As we approach one our most signifigant holidays let's start exercising our liberties and rights that were given by an Almighty, our Creator!!

Four days ago our local news reported that SPC.Erich Smallwood was killed in Iraq.Recently this message was found on his "My Space"page. Please give it a read,it is the least we can do... Erich's Full MySpace Blog: Sunday, January 28, 2007 Imagine your life like this. You wake up in the morning to the sound of gunfire....you can't run outside to see what's going on because you'd get shot..you can't call a friend to see what's going on because your family is too poor to have a phone...scared to drive down the road because of the IED's that were put out in your sleep that you have no idea where they're at...and if you're a Sunni...and the Shittes put the bomb out then you could be the next victim....scared to be around a bus because it could very easily blow up and kill everyone around it....scared to go anywhere because of all the kidnappings going on around you....that's just some of the problems the Iraqi people face...not everyone over here is bad...and for everyone that says that its none of our business to do it...your probably the type of person that would sit in your apartment and hear a husband beating ...

A conservative Standard

A Conservative Standard By jimmied | May 17, 2007 Categories: Election 2008 I have been away from Fire Society for a while.I returned to find people arguing and debating about who would be the best candidate for president .Those who use information and potential candidates records, seem to make an effective arguement. Those who use an emotional rant are less effective to say the least!I decided to propose a standard (mine) to see what the members here think. Before I start let me say, this is my opinion. 1st, I believe a candidate must be an America 1st type of person. He or she must think of our security and economy, not worrying what others think. The U.N.,or other countries etc. 2nd, he or she must believe the constitution is the foundation on which our country is founded on.If they believe this they also believe where the founding fathers derived the document. They derived it from their faith in a Creator,an Almighty who gave us the rights therein! So they must have faith in GOD .In these first requirements, the next would surely be met. 3rd, a fully, intelligently equiped military. The candidate must see the importance of our country's security. He or she must see 4thly, that secure borders are ...

I just seen inthe "East Solution To The Fence"forum a handle that was offensive. We have a number of members who are Christian and also some young people. No one said a word!I'm not easily offended but this is unecessary behavior. How do I report this?

A Canidates Faith,Does it Matter?

Since conservatism has ties to a majority of Christians,it would seem that this would have some impact on the decision making process.Convenient Christianity for the sake of a vote is so prevalent. It would be hard, unless you actually went to church with the canidate,to know if they are real or not! While church attendance is not the only standard to test Christianity,it shows something of the commitment of a person. So "Fire Society"community does it matter?

We as Christian Brothers and Sisters have a reponsibility to pray for our leaders, our country as well as each other.I like June Bug's idea. One minite each night. While I try to address specific issues, people and other things it ends up(spirit led)lasting longer. When we agree in prayer with each other we gain power.Let's stand together.

The loudest voices get heard! If we are told to be quiet, speak louder! There ways to accompolish our objective of the constitutional republic our fore fathers envisioned. Please from highest mountain and the lowest valley shout it out loud, the message of our rights, freedoms and liberties. While organizations like this one is a good start,it is however for those of us who are in the know so to speak. So we can't keep it to our self!
