Again - I bring this up as it appears now more than ever - the rules of the FS forum are not being adhered to. MANY posts are being deleted while others that CLEARLY break the forum rules remain. Moderators appear to be joining in on the rule breaking. People are leaving FS because of the constant back and forth of a small select few who really only troll and post very little in terms of support for their candidate OR facts surrounding issues. I came here to learn about the issues and the candidates running in 08... It is MORE than obvious there is a strong backing of two particular candidates on this site - and am appalled that many continually throw personal attacks on supporters of one of those TWO candidates. It seems since one member posted a 'poll' on this site - and now many do not like the results - they have ratched up their attacks. Enough, folks.

Rep. Shuler to Introduce Enforcement-Only Bill Soon (October 31) A new immigration enforcement bill that would remove the jobs magnet for illegal immigration is expected to be introduced in the House very soon. The SAVE Act (Secure America with Verification Enforcement) will be sponsored by Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) and is expected to have bi-partisan support. NumbersUSA believes this bill originating on the Democratic side of the House is just the vehicle to give us a chance to actually pass immigration legislation through a Democratic-controlled Congress that would significantly improve the lives of most Americans. Specifically, The SAVE Act would eventually require every employee in America to go through the E-Verify system, identifying all illegal aliens and removing any "glitches" that once allowed them to pass through the system and into the workforce undetected. Click here for more information about the SAVE Act. AgJOBS Amnesty Vote May Be Forthcoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has announced that the Farm Bill Extension Act of 2007 (H.R. 2419) is likely to come up for debate on the Senate floor during the week of November 5. Recently, Leader Reid had promised to attempt to attach the AgJOBS amnesty for illegal farmworkers to ...

With the govt outsourcing Blackwater (ex-military being paid 1/3 of what this PRIVATE company bills the US)... Now, they are using PRIVATE detention camps... UNREGULATED camps. This is more than concerning given every EO and law put into place....If you're detained - you have ZERO rights...and zero chance for hope. Just how many ppl does the govt think they need to detain? WHO are the ppl the govt anticipates detaining? Reports of upwards of 800 camps nationwide - ??? http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9db_1192875725 I find it incredibly concerning our govt is outsourcing MILITARY and DETENTION camps - removing themselves from the equation - and having a highly trained group outside the military.... being paid privately (at 3-20x the rate of our federal military).

I just got an email from a friend: PATRIOTS, SEE BELOW. I stopped in office for lunch and took time to call Kay Bailey as usual she had her phone off the hook BUT Cornyn's office staff told me that most calls were FOR the bill, WHICH MEANS THE ENEMY IS LEARNING, They are resorting to calling IN SUPPORT of Amnesty etc.....SO IF YOU CAN MAKE SOME TIME AT LEAST TRY TO GET THRU. Amnesty Advocates Set to Bring DREAM Act to the Floor! Call Your Senators Now! This morning, we heard from reliable sources that amnesty advocates in the Senate are poised to renew their push to pass the DREAM Act. Our sources tell us that the DREAM Act will be offered as an amendment to the Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations bill (H.R. 3043) on the Senate floor, most likely late TODAY or TOMORROW. We understand things to be moving so quickly that even Senate staffers do not have the text of the amendment!

The richest Americans' share of national income has hit a postwar record, surpassing the highs reached in the 1990s bull market, and underlining the divergence of economic fortunes blamed for fueling anxiety among American workers. The wealthiest 1% of Americans earned 21.2% of all income in 2005, according to new data from the Internal Revenue Service. That is up sharply from 19% in 2004, and surpasses the previous high of 20.8% set in 2000, at the peak of the previous bull market in stocks. The bottom 50% earned 12.8% of all income, down from 13.4% in 2004 and a bit less than their 13% share in 2000. The IRS data, based on a large sample of tax returns, are for "adjusted gross income," which is income after some deductions, such as for ...

Unity08.com Every American generation re-lights the torch of freedom. Ours will too. Politics-as-usual is dead. Done. Over. The people know the system is broken and yearn for something new. Unity08 will meet the need by launching new technology to change our politics forever. We’re hard at work already to achieve ballot access for the Unity08 ticket in all 50 States. You. The time is now. http://unity08.com/takeaction/mycountry Have you seen My Country? We have lost our country. We’ve lost our country to politics-as-usual. We’ve lost our country to special interests and polarization. We’ve lost our country and no longer have a system in place to deal with the crucial issues that are facing us. In order to find our country, we need to enlist the help of others. Therefore, let’s put these flyers out into the real world by posting them at coffee shops, grocery stores, schools, laundromats, barbershops, and other venues that you think may bring others to the search. You can also hand them out to people that you see on the street by asking them, "Have you seen My Country?" Click here to download the flyer to your computer (PDF 148K). Print out as many copies ...
