I remember writing to your office in August of last year detailing the circumstances of my case. I also remember it taking three months to receive a form letter from your office saying that basically you felt my pain and an explanation of why you were supporting comprehensive immigration reform. So this time around I am writing you a letter and putting it out all over the internet so God and everybody can read it. Maybe one of your aides will read it and bring it to your attention, not that it will do any good. I know for a fact that you do not give a damn about my current situation dealing with illegal aliens and their employers in your home state. You would rather not hear the anger from hundreds of thousands of your fellow South Carolinians that are currently being displaced in their jobs and careers by illegal aliens. You are too interested in being John McCain’s shadow these days than worry about the little people from your home state ...

This is the first time that I have seen so many South Carolinians together, speaking out against the same thing. About 200 people showed up at the rally on the north steps of the SC Statehouse at 1200 noon today. The event was organized by Pat Matthews of the Horry County MinutemanCDC (Myrtle Beach). The slate of speakers consisted of the Republicans running against Senator Lindsey Graham this year, Buddy Witherspoon, Mark McBride, and Tim Carnes. Mr. Witherspoon started off his speech by saying, press one for English and two for Spanish and got everybody laughing. I think that any of these guys would be a shoe in to defeat Senator Graham. Mark McBride is the mayor of Myrtle Beach, his daughter was sexually harassed last year in school by an illegal alien and that man’s anger was very visible in his speech. He also got Myrtle Beach to declare that it wasn’t a sanctuary city. And that is one helluva lot more that any ...

I brushed up on it the day that I got out of jail. The day that the cops took me to jail to shut me up because I was revealing the truth about something that our politicians like to pretend isn’t happening. And I have major problems understanding that because it seems like to me that it is the politicians that have forgotten what the Constitution and Bill of Rights stand for and not me. Since I got arrested it seems to me that our leaders thought it applied to people that are not even American citizens. And it seemed to me that our leaders thought that we American citizens had forfeited our rights as guaranteed under it. ...

This is in reference to the press conference being held on the north steps of the Statehouse in Columbia, SC on Mar 10th. The public is invited. No matter what state you are from, if you are an American citizen then please be there. Two weeks ago the illegal immigrant support groups had their press conference in the same location. Now, it is time for the citizens of SOUTH CAROLINA and AMERICA to have their say! Please be there. Lone Protester Hi Everyone, This is probably the last email I will have time to write before the 10th. The notice about the news conference has been sent to about 50 papers and several TV stations. Donna has been on the computer for three days doing this. She is one more smart lady. The only big thing we have to deal with is an emcee--does anyone know someone that has time to do it and a good speaker--please get in touch with me. We would like for someone to sing our National anthem--if you know someone. We will be going Sunday. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to come and bring people with you. PLEASE pass this email all over the state, NC and GA, even if you ...

Now, I do not have one of those fine legal minds that can parse all the ins and outs of legal technicalities, but I can connect the dots, just like I did when I was a kid. When my business started hitting the skids I identified the problem immediately. It was because of the massive numbers of illegal aliens being hired by companies in the construction industry. That was the magnet that was drawing all the illegals into South Carolina. And that was why and what I protested. And that is why I was arrested. So how could my trial not be about that? I have it figured out. These people, our leaders, are scared to touch the subject. Just like that judge was. All these so-called leaders of ours are so politically correct that they will stay away from it ...

Funderburk calls himself The Lone Protester, and recently faced a trial after using those words to describe a homeowner who was having a roof installed by another company. With his contracting business facing a downturn of gargantuan proportions in 2007, Funderburk was driving around looking for work when he ran across the house in question, where he'd done earlier work. He admits he was upset to find another company now working there, and his evidence the workers were illegal aliens was no more than circumstantial. But he decided to protest anyway, and he was carrying protest signs and marching up and down in front of ...

My business, like thousands of other small businessmen, is shot to hell because of the non-enforcement of our immigration laws. The construction industry is the engine that powers the American economy, and in my state, 75% of the work force is composed of illegal aliens. And the small businessmen like myself are getting pushed to the side of the road and are being replaced by a brand new work force. How, in the name of God, can we compete with criminal companies that employ illegal aliens in contravention of our laws? They can underbid us by more than half. My industry is changing and I do not like what I see. Every day, I watch people breaking our laws on almost every construction site I visit. And none of them are ever arrested and made to pay for their crimes like I was. Our state legislators are currently involved in illegal immigration legislation. There was a series of meetings held around ...

I am not a defendant any longer because I have been found not guilty. It was like a thousand pounds had been lifted off my chest. There is a God in Heaven. And the Americans on that jury saw the truth and responded just like I figured they would. When they called me to the witness stand I tried to come across as positive as I could. My lawyer passed me the pictures my son took as he asked questions. And I passed them to the jury.
