Officials allege man kicked child to death

The subject line, "Officials allege man kicked child to death" is the title of the following article in an Oklahoma newspaper (Muskogee Phoenix, 8/24/07). "WAGONER -- An undocumented alien was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-od son. Authorities said Michael Hernandez kicked the child to death. Preliminary reports show the toddler had broken ribs on both his right and left rib cage and collapsed lungs. The child's mother told police she had left Kelynn Byrd with Hernandez on Aug. 12 while she went to another apartment. When she returned, she found her son "in distress" and called police. The boy was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he was pronounced dead." This brief article was at the bottom of 3A not emblazoned across the front page with "ILLEGAL ALIEN CHARGED WITH BABY'S MURDER." To label the alleged murderer an "undocumented alien" doesn't lessen the effects of this cold harsh brutality. An innocent two year old stood no chance against a man, no matter his race, nationality, creed, color, documentation or lack thereof. How tragic that a baby has paid with his life, because Americans can't/won't build the fence, provide border security, enforce immigration laws, and protect our greatest resource ...

Pray to the God who made our nation great!

On Thursday, July 12, a Hindu chaplain is scheduled to deliver the opening prayer in the U.S. Senate, the first Hindu prayer at the Senate since it formed in 1789. The chaplain says his prayer will be "universal in approach," despite planned references to Hindu religious texts. Since Hindus worship multiple gods, the prayer will be outside the American paradigm and contrary to the American motto, "One Nation Under God." This Hindu chaplain has already prayed this year in the Nevada State Assembly and Nevada State Senate. Are you questioning why the U.S. government is inviting the invocation of non-monotheistic gods? If so, TAKE ACTION -- call your state senators at 202-224-3121. I did, because I understand this nation was founded on the ONE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN GOD. To "officially" seek other gods to bless our government sessions is to invite the wrath of God Almighty, who judges disobedience to His commandment to have no other gods before Him. Our founding fathers understood this; hopefully, our current leaders will before we sink further into post-Christianity. I'm not seeking to deny Hindus the right to pray to however many gods they seek to invoke, but it is wrong and dangerous to open the ...
