I am JUST a former Meat Inspector and Quality Control Liaison, so no MEDICAL expertise is implied.) BUT! My experience  and a  story I found in a USDA story in 1972, will be mentioned.  I can not find any information on this currently.  The story told of testing various quick methods to  lessen the dangers of this serious food poisoning and swallowing a  teaspoon of  MUSTARD showed the best  results! The claim went on to state that symptoms were reduced to just flu-like symptoms if MUSTARD was "taken".  The report went on to say that if in doubt while traveling and eating out, "put mustard on some of your food". Usually I have learned food poisoning symptoms even occur earlier like as soon as 2 hours. Believing I had this once while on a trip, I covered a slice of bread with mustard and ate it and drank one glass of water and went from extreme headache and nausea to feeling ok in about 1 hour  and when I finally found a ...
