http://www.topix.net/news/immigration/2007/07/what-can-i-give-my-country-for-its-231st-birthday If I was a billionaire who had made a fortune from being in America, I would give it two Fences.. One on the northern border and One on the southern border. Good fences as we all know make good neighbors . If I was President or head of Homeland Security or the Attorney General, I would give it enforcement of the laws. We are a nation of laws. The law is what protects the rights of one citizen from being infringed on by another . If I was the Secretary of Defense I would give our country a real secure border. Securing the property and lives of the citizens of our country is after all the job of the Department of Defense. If I was the governor of any of the 50 states, I would give the country 5000 members of my state National Guard to place at intervals along the border as ARMED defenders ready to use force to stop any illegal invasion of our country. It is the purpose of the militias, and the national guard are militias, To join in any effort by one state to stop invasion from foreign invasion. Each of ...

LAURA WIDES-MUNOZ Associated Press Writer (AP) - LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -A bipartisan group representing more than 5,000 Hispanic officials called the Senate's decision to drop an immigration bill Thursday a colossal failure and urged the House to step in. John Bueno, president of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, promised to keep fighting for an immigration law that would provide security for the nation while resolving the status of roughly 12 million illegal immigrants. "We now call on the U.S. House of Representatives and the White House to take on this issue and finish the job that the Senate did not," Bueno said. Incoming NALEO President Adolfo Carrion Jr., the president of New York City's Bronx borough, acknowledged the House in the past also has been unwilling to pass legislation that would provide a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. "It's a new House. The history of this House should not be judged by the past," he said, referring to the new Democratic majority. "Whenever there is a vacuum in power, people step up. It's time for the House to step up." Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro Cortes said he was worried the Senate's decision will ...

Carlos only brings in 2 to 3 dollars a day. Carlos asks Jose how he can bring home a suitcase full of $10 bills every day. Jose says, "Look at your sign." It reads: "I have no work, a wife & 6 kids to support" Carlos looks at Jose's sign. Victor Javier Benitez, a 24-year-old native of Mexico, was being held in the Metro Jail Tuesday on $250,000 bond. Police said Benitez ran a red light in his sport utility vehicle around 2:45 a.m. Saturday and struck the car driven by 22-year-old Joycelyn R. Gardiner. Witnesses "described an extreme odor of alcohol about Benitez and said that he was very combative," police said. Both were rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Gardiner died a few hours later. Benitez was treated for a head laceration and broken rib. Gardiner, of Port Arthur, Texas, was a member of Tennessee State University's Tigerbelle track team. She was to receive her criminal justice degree in August and possibly attend law school.
Point 1. Secure BOTH borders. Double the Border patrol, and put 1/4 of all National Guard troops available on the borders. Use the Border patrol to check all border crossers at the 10 maximum legal crossing points to be determined on each border, and seal the rest of both borders with a double fence with electronic surveillance and detection devices equal to those used in "Safe Nest" areas.. Use the same Army Corps of Engineers, C B battalions, Air force units and contractors that have safe nest experience to build the electronics barriers, and use American Citizens only as contractors or if necessary use volunteers and prisoners to construct the fences of only USA made materials. Put a minimum 2 lane paved road inside the second fence or as close as natural barriers allow for patrol with guard posts spaced at appropriate intervals manned by ARMED National Guard troops... If necessary form a separate National border guard military unit in all states with Borders similar to the coast guard. 2. with 90 days prior notice arrest any American business man who has an illegal employee. Fines for employment of an illegal to start at $10,000 at first encounter per illegal ...

I moved to Texas for 3 years. I remember how all the banks went bankrupt and the savings and loans crashed when the crooked dealings with land value inflation came to light... The city of Arlington was gonna come up a million dollars short of their budget due to the high cost of Law Enforcement.. But the mayor solved the problem in one stroke of a pen.. He simply raised to court costs on OFFENDERS by 2000 percent. One upshot of that was a 5$ parking ticket cost 5$ and 95$ court cost. It finally became cheaper to hire a 45$ attorney and fight the ticket LOL. BUT the budget was met with a surplus and more police were hired.. "Where there is a will there is a way". kinda goes with "cheaters never prosper" too. Again I am struck with how much less the government seems to be able to figure out the correct answer as compared to a 5th grader. Criminals have been sucking money out of our country's coffers by hiring illegal employees and paying ...

BUT he won the Republican primary... But wait..that isn't all it seems so many Democrats wrote him in on their primary... he won that one too... I guess that means in the general election he runs against himself? We do not NEED to change the laws giving a new special treatment for the millions of criminals who have invaded our country..we need to enforce the laws we have and then when some business claims they need more labor than they can find, we need a LEGAL way for them to bring that labor in...not at tax payer subsidized low pay existence.. but at real tax paying benefit having rates... The present amnesty plan is no better than if they decided that because 4,000 bank robberies happened last year, to grant amnesty to all bank robbers as long as they leave their guns ...

RAID AFTERMATH: SCOPE OF ARRESTS 9 percent of company work force arrested By PHILIP BRASHER REGISTER WASHINGTON BUREAU December 14, 2006 Washington, D.C. — The arrest of workers at meatpacking giant Swift & Co. — the largest such raid in U.S. history — shows that the government is serious about cracking down on illegal immigration, officials say. This time, federal agents were armed with criminal charges, accusing some workers of identification theft and forgery, and disrupted not just one work site but an entire company. Arrested were 1,282 Swift workers, about 9 percent of the work force at six plants. The detainees included 90 people arrested at Swift’s pork processing facility at Marshalltown, where officials said the investigation began earlier this year. “This happened to Swift. It could easily happen elsewhere,” Homeland Security Secretary Mike Chertoff said Wednesday. “We’re going to try to make it inhospitable to break the law here.” An Iowan with knowledge about immigration practices said the government was “changing the rules” with this week’s raids. Sixty-five of the arrested workers, including two in Marshalltown, were detained on criminal charges involving ID theft. The rest were accused of being in the country illegally, the basis for most ...
