Blind Obedience to the Party

Here's the situtation: You are a registered voter. You are a precinct committeeperson an elected position. You don't like your party's choice for a particular office so you openly support another party. You show support all the way to the voting place where you are accousted by the county chair of your party. You and he have a dicussion as to what you are doing there? You let him know in no uncertain terms it is you right. You then go on to defend ,quite well I might add, your reason for not walking lock step with such party since he is looking for one. Not able to counter your reasoning he asked for your resignation from the position to which you were elected or he says he will fire you. Strange, fire you from such a lowly position that nobody wants and it isn't a paid position anyway. My party loyalty or blind odedience to anyone or any party comes somewhere down the line behind taking trash out for Tuesday morning pick up. What say you?

Competition on 4H Shooting Sports

My last 4H shooting meeting I decided to hammer the kids about the competitive issues everyone faces in life. I told them that our club would not give them a pat on the back, a certificate, or any kind of positive recognition until they had earned it. I told them unlike some groups who don't keep score and don't want someone's feelings hurt we were different. If they left our club and got into law enforcement, the military, or some other profession that relied on firearms expertise they could lose more that pride as they could lose their life. I advised them to in order to be successful as a shooter they had to strive to beat the guy or gal behind the trigger on their rifle. Not to worry about the person to their left or right but the person who was squeezing the trigger on their rifle. I told them when they could out perform that individual, they were ready to take on the person(s) to either side of them. We then allowed them to compete during the session. I think the speech and the reaction of one shooter helped us ferret out a possible diamond in the rough who needs a little more ...

Ala mo Car Rental Dishes Out for Dissing Muslim

I heard this on the radio. Alamo Car Rental has to pay a Muslim women somewhere in the vicinity of 800,000 because they informed her not to wear her scarf while working. She sued on religious grounds and won. Let's say I tell my employer I can't work Sunday because of my faith and church attendance. I guess that means I won't have to work Sundays. If they insist I have to or fire me I too can sue on religiuos grounds based upon what played out with this Muslim. Why is it a faction of our countrymen bend over backwards to a religion bent on our destruction because of their religion but on the other hand won't even remotely stand up for the Christian faith upon which principles this nation was founded?

INDIANA "IN GOD WE TRUST" LICENSE PLATES

I got a blessing today while at work of all places. Our guys were hitting traffic pretty heavy and everytime they stopped a vehicle they called in the plate number. Why is this such a blessing one might ask? Well in Indiana we have all kinds of personal and organizational plates. The newest, and one that outsells any other, is the "IN GOD WE TRUST" plate. If an officer stops a vehicle that has a DARE or KIDS FIRST plate you might start your transmission with, "Indiana DARE or KIDS FIRST plate and then the number. With the new plate it's, "Indiana "IN GOD WE TRUST" then the remainder of the radio transmission. To me, every time an officer calls in one of these plates, God gets the glory. Isn't it wonderful how God has a way of getting the word out in spite of what man's plans are? Not to worry not everyone who has their plate called in gets a ticket either.

I work as a volunteer for an Indiana agency. Over the weekend I was there instructing women in the use of rifles and pistols. Each year since it started we have a small non-denominational service before breakfast on Sunday morning. Saturday a coordinator approached and asked me to do the service as the lady who is in charge of this particular branch of the agency had decided to drop the service from the agenda. Later I asked my room partner why XXXX did not wish to do the program. He told me when last year's critiques were handed in one woman said it was not right to force religion on people. He told me he asked the rest of the group why drop the service because of one person. It is not mandatory and anyone is free to attend or just go on to breakfast. This prompted me to do a devotional about the strong man having to be bound in order for the thief to spoil his goods. I explained the situation regarding the service to those in attendance. I encouraged them that until we stopped giving in to the whims of not offending one but while on the other hand offending the ...

Looking at this chart may surprise some folk. I don't know if Ted Kennedy views these figures as interesting but many of us do. It appears as though alcohol kills a consideralbe amount of people annually. I know there are those who can drink responsibly but evidenty the Kennedy tribe, as proven in the past, cannot. Should we therefore ban all alcohol because some are irresponsble law breakers? I don't drink but I don't think those who do so responsibly should be punished for the lack of said responsibility of a few. 85,000 die annually due to alcohol compared to 29,000 anually due to the evil firearm. Homocide 20,308. Combined neither total the annual death that alochol causes. Maybe Teddy should try to pass legistation toward an instant check on alcohol purchases instead of firearms. After all isn't that what the feel good liberals who care about life are all about, saving lives and fighting crime? Don't hold your breath waiting for Teddy to take action. The poor girl under the bridge waited and he never cared then and he won't now. I realize these figures are 7 years old but if there is an increase of size I would wager alcohol out paced firearms. Tobacco ...

Congressional Leaders Moving To Pass Gun Control Without A Vote! -- McCarthy bill would treat gun owners even worse than terrorists Gun Owners of America E-Mail Alert 8001 Forbes Place, Suite 102, Springfield, VA 22151 Phone: 703-321-8585 / FAX: 703-321-8408 http://www.gunowners.org/ordergoamem.htm "Another gun rights group, the Gun Owners of America, is adamantly opposed to the [McCarthy-Dingell] legislation. It said the measure would allow the government to trample privacy rights by compiling reams of personal information and potentially bar mentally stable people from buying guns." -- Associated Press, April 24, 2007 Thursday, April 26, 2007 This is going to be a knock-down, drag-out fight. GOA continues to stand alone in the trenches, defending the rights of gun owners around the country. It's not going to be easy. Gun control supporters want to pass gun control within the next couple of weeks. And that's why, even if you took action earlier this week, you need to do so once again. All the gun haters (who have been keeping silent for a while) are now coming out of the closet and into the open. Take the notoriously anti-gun senator from New York -- Chuck Schumer. He has been very, very excited this week. ...

While away last week I noticed some elitist polician got caught with a gun near the capitol, I believe. Seems he had his aide carry it in for him in a bag with some extra loaded magazines. When the aide was stopped the gun was found. The politcian said it didn't belong to him in the first deep breath but later stated it was his while at the same time he ,symbolically stood on his aide's shoulders to keep himself from being forced under approaching politcal under current. These guys amaze me. Some reporter later said it didn't matter because the gun didn't work. The politician said he carried a gun for self protection in one gasping breath (typical of someone in over his head in deep water). Please help me here. I carry a gun for my employment and when not working I carry one loaded for self defense. Trust me if it didnt' work I wouldn't burden myself with. I most assuredly would not have extra loaded magazines as well were it inoperable. Should we think any less of one of our enlightened politicians? Botton line. Recently Indiana opted to issued life time permits to it's residents over eighteen years of age. In my opinion this goes a long way in demonstrating the faith and trust Indiana leaders place in the general populace. This act also shows the belief our Hoosier leaders have in the second ammendment.
