News reported yesterday that Fort Hood was trying to set up a town hall with Mccain and Obama . For all military members and there families.

Mccain said Yes, Obama declined he says for scheduling problems,  but , those setting this up state they were willing to bend over backwards for Obama,  change dates , locations etc but he still declined.

Military members are Ticked, but like all of us now understand Obama can't do any town halls because he can't use his Teleprompters with others writing every thing for him.

Few News media reporting on this of course. ABC,CBS,NBC all pro obama and stuffed right up his butt.

We say, Democrats ban off shore drilling,  we ban electing Democrats this November Peiod

Gosh, isn't that a surprising development?  I wonder why in the world Obama wouldn't jump at appearing before the troops.  After all, doesn't his campaign claim he has the most support and donations from the troops???  Hmmmmmm....another mystery that shall remain unsolved!   Thinking

I'd be surprised if Obama does any town hall type meetings.  They would clearly show him for the American hating, elitist, socialist piece of junk that he is.  He's already gotten enough idiots swooning over him.  Why risk letting people know his true self?

Obama refused to register for selective service in July 1980, I think he is Afraid of the Military, but most afraid of One on One conversations especially with out his Teleprompter .

He's losing ground while dodging bullets is what I see. He quotes 1 thing and then he recinds it, then says another thing. That to me is dodging bullets.

How much new coverage did Obama get while he was in Afghanistan and Iraq?  Is he still there?  I haven't seen anything on the news about it, and only one little blurb on MSN's main page talking about it.

Why would he show up there with people who would ask him tough questions he couldn't answer.  And God forbid having an audience that wasn't his to control.......

He's a fake who would bring nothing but destruction to our great country.

Janna, I think  Jessie Jackson  cut them off ... kind of strange too for such an upstanding fellow who claims to be a christian minister of some type ... to say and do such a thing.    and  i agree osama hates the military just like willy clinton who openly stated that he loathed the military.

ARE YOU KIDDING??  It has been on the news 24/7---EVERY major anchor has flown to be by Obama's side on his little "tour"...I mean, Brokaw (NBC) is there, Couric (CBS) is there, Gibson (ABC)  is there!!!  It is a MAJOR media circus, they are so in love with obama, he can't walk across the street without them sending the anchors to cover it---juan mccain is finding himself just like hillary did, completely ignored while the major media fluffs the pillows of obama, makes sure his water is OK, holds his hand etc....

Stay tuned, there will be big reports tonite and tomorrow and the next day and obama will look like some sort of hero!!  I did see yesterday him meeting with some troops in a room, looked hand selected "for the media event" as there was only about 50 of them in a room and they were clapping, cheering etc, and I would say that 80% of those clapping cheering troops were black....

WAY too much coverage of his trip.  In fact, even on the LOCAL news on radio, the first 90 seconds (it's only a 5 minute broadcast) was about Obama now being in Iraq, and who he's met with, etc.  You'd think that he was already president and that this is the first time a US president has ever traveled out of the country.  The Pope didn't get this much coverage on his trip here!

I've heard grumblings in the past couple days from some of the drive-by crowd that the media has skewed the attention given to Obama versus McCain.  Maybe the real, fair journalists will finally step up and report without bias.

At any rate, I saw the clip you saw, VeeBee, and made the exact same observation.  I'm guessing most of the other troops were avoiding the rantings of that moron altogether.  I don't know if you noticed or not but Obama looked very nervous...out of his element.

When I posted that, I hadn't seen anything on the mainstream news about him being there, now its all they talk about.  I'd have thought there would have been a big build up to him going, talking about what he would fix, what he would have done differently, blah blah blah.

I'm sure it will all be candy coated by the media as to what amazing things he found there, and how right he is about the war.
