CA Alert! Ask the Governor to investigate San Francisco's policies on illegal aliens!
You may have heard the story. Rather than turn over juvenile Honduran drug dealers to federal authorities for deportation, the City of San Francisco escorted them out of the country. When then was found to be illegal, San Francisco housed them in a low-security facility in San Bernardino County, at a cost of $7,000 per month per person. All of the Hondurans have since escaped from the housing.
CAPS has requested that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and California Attorney General Jerry Brown investigate San Francisco and its Juvenile Probation Department. The U.S. Attorney has said he is "monitoring the situation." It is necessary to ascertain whether other criminal activity, such as payoffs by the drug cartels, has occurred.
Dear Governor Schwarzenegger:
I urge you to investigate San Francisco’s release of alien drug dealers.
The refusal of San Francisco to turn over foreign drug dealers to federal immigration authorities, and the subsequent escape back into society by these criminals, is disgraceful. I hope you will call for an end to sanctuary cities, and that you will investigate San Francisco to see if its officials have violated other laws.
Since San Francisco's 1989 proclamation of itself as a sanctuary city, it has refused to cooperate with immigration authorities. Now it is helping illegal alien drug traffickers evade federal deportation proceedings so that they will be able to return and resume their criminal activates.
This contemptible behavior merits further investigation. Drug cartels have substantial financial resources. Perhaps they were making payoffs to receive favorable treatment for their dealer clients.
Thank you for immediately acting on this matter. The safety of the citizens of California and its system of law depends on it.
