This thread has really hit home both personally and otherwise. We are all VICTIMS OF ILLEGALS...I just called the Capitol Hill phone number, and whomever it was that answered the phone was so rude. She forwarded my call to Barbara Boxer and I let them know that maybe they should start thinking more of the law abiding citizens of this once fine country and alot less for the constant law breakers, who by the way, DO NOT COME HERE TO BETTER THEMSELVES, but just to see what they can get for nothing... Where is our pride of this nation that our forefathers fought and died for.. The political figures all seem to "kowtow" to the wrongdoers and seem to be too cowardly to do the right thing...
Our politicians have forgotten who put them there, it's time to clean house. Do not vote for any incumbent.
To change the direction of this country, you must change the people who you have entrusted. Do not stand by and let others tell you what is good for your country. Vote these carpet baggers out of office.
I just sent a rather long email to Dianne Feinstein as well, and also talked to someone in the Office of Nancy Pelosi.. It was just more of the reiteration I sent to Capitol Hill and to Barbara Boxer... I also sent a long email, to Congressperson J. Lowenthal asking all of them to start considering our feelings over the ones that SHOULD NOT have any say so about anything as long as they are breaking the law... Why should we obey the laws and all they do is break them...
marge - I was contacted by the Democratic party yesterday asking me to give a donation of $100 or more. The women on the phone then went into a list of reasons why I should support the Democratic party. When she was done I said I would not be able to give to the party. She asked me if it was because the amount was too large OR something to do about the "party".
I told her that the party did not want people like me, American Citizens. I told her that they only wanted to "use" people like me, hard working tax payers, to pay for all of their free "give a ways" to foreigners who are here breaking the law.
I told her that here in Los Angeles it costs over 1 Billion a year for welfare and food stamps for illegal aliens. I told her this is a fact published by Michael Antonovich our County Supervisors (see below).
Sunday, 30 September 2007
Total annual cost of illegals on taxpayers exceeds $1 billionLA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has announced that a new report shows illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $35 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in July.
In the report, illegals are said to have collected nearly $20 million in welfare assistance for July 2007 and an additional $15 million in monthly food stamp allocations for an estimated annual cost of $440 million. “Illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers,”said Antonovich. “In addition to $220 million for public safety and $400 million for healthcare, the $440 million in welfare allocations bring the total cost to County taxpayers that exceeds $1 billion a year -- this does not include the skyrocketing cost of education.”
I then told her about the gang violence and the fact that there are 130,000 gang members in Los Angeles (150,000 troops in Iraq gives you a reference number). Diane Feinstein herself did a study and reports that over 60% of them are in the country illegally.
Anyway, the list goes on and so I said - Just say no! I say no to Obama and all the others that won't hold Mexico accountable but instead says I have to pay for a foreign countries citizens. Especially when that foreign country (Mexico) owns it's own oil at over $140 a barrel. I said I don't own oil - so why are you putting this monkey on my back?
She said that she understood and that it was not falling on deaf ears and that it is a story she is hearing over and over.
I told her that I viewed the Democratic Party as the Illegal Alien party of Mexico.
I told her that all of the Americans who don't want their tax money going to illegal aliens should be able to "opt out" and let those who want that monkey on their back pick up the slack.
In the meantime, I am using my vote to not vote for any person or party who supports illegal aliens in any way.
Every time I call Pelosi, Feinstein, etc or get an e-mail back in reply from their "staff," it is like I'm in the twilight zone, in a completely different deminsion of time and space, where nothing penetrates the thick wall of their incomprehension. In reply to the arguements against yet more "guest workers" when a shortage of labor might actually bring field wages upwards in at least the direction of a living wage, I get back an e-mail whining about pears rotting, and a picture of a distraught woman with pears on the ground all around, (but not under any trees). If anyone Googles "Pear Harvest Lake County,California" and reads stuff, including VDARE's info, they can figure out pretty quick that if the growers advertized for legal citizen workers and paid a living wage, they would get their crops taken care of in a timely manner. The small, independent farms of yesterday have been gobbled up by Globalization. Workers have been exploited in waves, from the Oakies fleeing the Dust Bowl to the "undocumented immigrant." It is so far beyond a class struggle. These Elites do as they please and have SO many people psyched into thinking: "What's the use? Why even bother to vote?"
You guys are too good. May I add that if they (mega farmers) would pay American workers decent wages, we could actually afford an increase in "pear" (produce) prices. As it is, we can't even afford "cheap" pears harvested by illegals. Our well paying jubs are overseas, and the jobs that are left are on a downward payscale. Sad, very sad indeed. Where are you, my home of the brave?
