Cindy McCain...Very Interesting!
No comparison between her and Obama's wife.
?

Cindy McCain?

The media will never tell of this, so pass it on. ?
?

GO ?GIRL!!!!!!!!!!
? ? ? ? ?
?
There was an article in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's
wife.
All I ever saw was this att ractiv e woman standing beside John. ?I was
surprised
how talented and involved with world problems she is. ?This is a summary
of the article.
?

? ? ? ? ?
She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs
teacher.
?
? ? ? ? ?
After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm
and is now the chairwoman.
Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.
?

? ? ? ?
They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets rem ain separate.
? ? ? ?
She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these
countries on a detonation team and service on their board.
?

? ? ? ?
They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq, another son in the Naval
Academy,
a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ., an adopted daughter
in
high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.
?

? ? ?
Raised kids in Phoenix, Az. rather than Washington DC. (better
atmosphere) ?He commuted.

?
? ? ?
In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a girl in an orphanage in Bangladesh. ?

Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with severe cleft
palate.
She did so without firs t telling her husband. The couple adopted the
girl who has
had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical
problems.
?

? ? ? ?
They have a Family Foundation for children's causes.

?
? ;
She's active with 'Halo Trust' - to clear land mines, provide water and
food in war ravaged and developing countries.

?
? ?
She will join an overseas mission of 'Operation Smile', a charity for
corrective surgery on children's faces.?
???????
She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. ?
She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery
process.

? ? ? ?
I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. She sounds
more
capable than Hillary or Obama. ?We would really get two for the price
of one. ?A person with business and international experience. ?
John did work for the firm for awhile when he left the Navy. ?She,
however, has the real business experience. ?Very interesting.

Although I have major issues with John McCain, I saw Cindy McCain on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few weeks ago.  I really liked her.  She seems normal and unpretentious.  She said that she had not been too involved in the campaigning process or very vocal because it was a time for people to get to know the candidate, her husband, and not her.  She's not trying to ride his coattails like so many of the Democrat spouses seem to do.  Hillary rode Bill's and now it seems Michelle Obama is trying to ride her husband's as well.  Spouses need to remember they are just spouses, not co-candidates.

How is that plagiarism?  Don't we all get our recipes from websites, cookbooks, magazines, the back of food containers, etc.?  Interesting to see Huffinpuffinstuff in the article, not to mention WaPo.  Just more whining libs with little else to bitch about!!  Hell, I've got recipes that one might consider "family" recipes that I grew up with and have used for years, and if you go to my mother's recipe file, you'll see she has the original "cut out" from a box of one of the ingredients.  I hardly call that plagiarism or stealing!  Or did you think Shrillary invented her chocolate chip recipe?

I have to agree with you Patsy,  We all get recipes from everywhere and usually add our own tastes etc.

She's done this twice now, actually.  The 2nd recipe was stolen from the Hershey site.

Oh Good grief...and I have the recipe for Neiman Marcus cookies that I pass off as my own...SO SUE ME!

...oh and I also pass of some of the Hershey recipes as MY OWN TOO...because I add something different of MY OWN CREATION......so why don't you just go ahead and TRY to get ME for plagiarism too?

How lame......

Why yes, DH.  There is.  I was willing to share my $250 cookie recipe, but I see BTB already stole it too---she thinks she fooled me by calling it Neiman Marcus!!!  Can you please see to it that we can share a cell when we get thrown in the clink, DH??   PrisonerIn the meantime,  You Rock

Cindy McCain is a nice lady and very genuine. I can't imagine what she went through while her husband was a POW......

Did she have a previous husband who was a POW?  She wasn't married to McCain while he was being held at the Hanoi Hilton.   My understanding is he was released as a POW in 1973....she didn't even meet him until 1979.

Your right Patsy, He gave a brief summery of those years on one of the media shows. If I can remember right he assumed full responsibility for the break us of his first marrage, but gave no details.

Oh, wow, she's still alive, huh?  I thought the rumor was McCain had left her on her death bed so I'd just assumed she subsequently passed away.  Or am I think of New Gingrich dumping his ill wife??  I'm having another senior moment.

Patsy, thats Newt, but 700club's link is not new news, all that information has been out there since his first senate run. I don't think it's tabloid, its probably true, but the internet makes it more accessible.

700club, Thanks for the link, the old saying if one can't be faithful to their wife who can they be faithful to, carries a lot of weight with some of us. Then one must consider we all have our strengths and weaknesses.
