Wow, this republican party is unbelievable.  Why anybody even supports them is a mystery to me.  Now they are introducing HR 6257 which bans certain semi-automatic guns.  I am so -done with this party.  Details of the bill can be found at:

ANOTHER GOOD REASON NOT TO VOTE FOR ANY REPUBLICRAT, EVER!! Those nasty "semi-auto" weapons with their menacing foregrips and folding stocks, and--well you know--it is HOW THEY LOOK that makes them dangerous, isn't it? Not the fact that they only fire one shot at a time, same as every other semi-auto ever made--Appearance matters!! Ask as dumb lib if it doesn't. Or any stupid Republicrat .

The betrayal continues.....if you were like me...when the Clintons left office you were hoping the new administration's Justice Department would reveal the many treasonous transactions of the Clintons.  Then I  found out Bush had signed onto the SPP, I no longer was waiting for a detailed report about the Clintons.

This transcript from the Lou Dobbs  may be news to you, but I was unaware.  Lou Dobbs made the comment the other day that Bush should be tried for treason for allowing the FDA to become a worthless function.

I disagree....I want to see him tried for allowing China to be the sole manufacturer for components to our smart bombs.   Below:

DOBBS: My next guest says the government is the servant of the rich. David Cay Johnson author of "Free Lunch: How the Wealthiest Americans Enrich Themselves at Government Expense and Stick You with the Bill."

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, former reporter to the "New York Times," good guy, good to have you with us.

DAVID CAY JOHNSON: Thank you for having me, Lou.

DOBBS: It's a terrific book. You argue that the government is the servant of the rich. How did this happen?

JOHNSON: Well, the campaign finance reform system. We have something I call the political donor class. Literally if you were a congressman, your day would be spent talking to the representatives of wealthy people in large corporations about their problems. You wouldn't have a minute to think about the problems of the middle- class, the poor, even the upper middle-class.

DOBBS: Well, and I'd also be spending most of my time explaining why I was using profanities with the rest of the members of congress throughout the day.

JOHNSON: Not that that's unheard of.

DOBBS: No. But you say in 1975 -- I thought this was fascinating -- Washington lobbyists collected less than $100 million in lobbying fees; by 2006 $2.5 billion -- approaching now -- $3 billion. What's going on?

JOHNSON: There's -- the number of lobbyists in Washington, all the things you do in the war on the middle-class, about all of the jobs that are disappearing and being lost, well guess what, Washington lobbyists more than doubled in numbers from 2000 to 2007. There are now more than 35,000.

And the reason is simple. It is easier to mine gold from the public treasury than to earn it in the marketplace. So, there are whole industries I tell about in "Free Lunch" that derive all their profits from hidden subsidies and from taxes that you pay that never get to the government but are diverted to the Walton family, the richest family in America, to Warren Buffett, to all sorts of individuals and large corporations through programs we know very little about.

DOBBS: We would never want to deny the Walton family or Warren Buffett any kind of advantage in this economy, would we?

JOHNSON: Well, I think they -- you want your people to earn their money in the marketplace. Not getting it by forcing me or you to pay a tax.

DOBBS: Absolutely.

JOHNSON: That goes to them.

DOBBS: One of the most disturbing chapters in your book, Chinese magnetism; detailing how the U.S. government allowed the sale of magnet technology, a critical component of national defense. The Chinese have now a monopoly on these magnets needed for smart bombs, ladies and gentlemen. We use them from time to time in this government. Here's what you wrote -- "Not only is the technical knowledge largely gone, but America's only neodymium mine shut down in 1996. And 85 percent of our planet's known stores of neodymium are now in one country." Guess what country?

JOHNSON: China.

DOBBS: How stupid are we?

JOHNSON: The Chinese military has a strategy of buying commercial interests and through fronts, the Chinese military and the daughter of Deng Xiaoping, who at the time the supreme commander of that country, were involved in these deals.

The Clinton administration allowed the deals on the condition the technology remain in America. The Bush administration allowed its removal. And why? Apparently so that General Motors could get a deal to build a factory to build automobiles or trucks.

This is craziness. This is -- this is not free trade. This is not efficiently organizing the world's assets. This is craziness.

DOBBS: This is selling out the United States. Point-blank.

JOHNSON: It certainly is. I am shocked that we have not had congressional investigations into this. That we haven't had questions about whether there were criminal acts committed. This is a very serious matter. We know about this one. How many other ones are there going on?

DOBBS: You said President Bush. Which one was it again?

JOHNSON: President Clinton allowed the deal and President Bush allowed the removal of the technology from the United States. When you ask congress about this and Senator Bayh has asked them, I've asked them; they're answer is, "We're taking care of your safety. We know what we're doing." That's all they'll say.

DOBBS: Well, I guarantee you this, I can't think of an example that they can hold up where they could honestly claim with any evidence that they know what they're doing. It's extraordinary.

And I love the fact that you point out, correctly, so this is not a partisan issue, that people don't in any way get distracted by that. This goes back to Clinton. It goes back to this Bush. It goes back frankly to --

JOHNSON: These are bipartisan problems that are Washington and to what has happened to our government and how estranged it's become for most Americans.

DOBBS: Unbelievable. It's just incredible and I'd like -- when we say it's a partisan problem, as you document in your book, "Free Lunch," it's our problem. The American people's problem.

JOHNSON: It sure is. DOBBS: This nation's problem.

David as always, good to have you here. Another great, great piece of work in "Free Lunch."

We thank you very much.

JOHNSON: Thank you.

DOBBS: I can't recommend the book highly enough. Thank you

Now understand CAFTA...who signed it and what it was designed to do.

CAFTA (Central American Free Trade Agreement), the plan to integrate our prosperous economy with the poverty of Central America

Extra from Phyllis Schlafly:

European nations' loss of sovereignty to the EU should be a warning to Americans. The EU is a model for how global-governance advocates in the United States plan to morph trade agreements into continental government for the Western Hemisphere. NAFTA came first, under which a foreign tribunal was able to override U.S. laws and give Mexican trucks access to all our highways. Congress will soon vote on CAFTA (Central American Free Trade Agreement), the plan to integrate our prosperous economy with the poverty of Central America. Then will come FTAA (Free Trade Agreement of the Americas) which, according to the Quebec Declaration signed by President Bush in 2001, will bring about economic and political "hemispheric integration." Americans who want to retain American sovereignty should speak up now.

This was 2005....but we  continue to see America's sovereignty erode because of this.   THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS BLURRED THE LINE BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT.   Look at the names of conservatives.

CAFTA passes while Americans Sleep

July 28, 2005

In their typical fashion of hiding their anti-worker agenda from working families, Republican leaders Tom DeLay (TX), Dennis Hastert (IL) and Bill Thomas (CA) brought the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) up for a vote in the middle of the night on Wednesday July 27th. The vote was kept open until Thursday so they could threaten Members of Congress until they voted in favor of the deeply flawed and job killing CAFTA by a margin of 217-215.

A vote on the House floor is supposed to be held open for 15 minutes. The CAFTA vote was held open for well over an hour. Through our efforts, we were able to hold onto all but 15 Democrats. This is a step in the right direction as those in the Democratic party who have lost their desire to vote based on the very principles the party was founded on, came back to their roots. The exceptions being the 15 who voted for CAFTA for reasons ranging from campaign contributions from multinational corporations to more of the same empty promises we saw under NAFTA.

These folks are not leaving a base uncovered, they are concerned about an armed populace. Both Democrats and Republicans.

Anyone with an AK, SK, or M-16 on their "I want" list better get down to the closest gun shop tomorrow and buy a couple with extra mags and a few cases of ammo.

This is the tip of the berg, and an ignorant, liberal, Republican did it.  Imagine what's going to happen to the 2d Amendment after the elections when the libs have a super majority in both houses.  Not pretty.

Also heard that the "one gun a month" legislation is coming up for a vote in NJ very soon.

Although I agree with you all, The NRA and GOA is in full mode to stop this action. This is another lame brained attempt once again. I do not think it will pass, as stated. It was Sarah Brady who started all of this bs in the first place, then you get a few dems and inside Republicans that are in reality Democrats at heart to tear down the Republican Party as we have seen, so it's really an act of let's see if we can do this again type of action before the Committee.

Below is an excerpt from a Tom DeWeese Article....it is old, but just as true now as when he wrote it..  The United Nations is still hard at work to disarm America.

I no longer trust the NRA....I was a card carrying member for many years, but have seen things that resemble a sell-out...much like the Republican Party's.

While reading about the L.O.S.T., I realized our President is a great big champion of the United Nations.  Knowing the power of the Presidency, and the cozy partnership that exist between the UN and the CFR ,this should make everyone skeptical.

By:  Tom DeWeese:

Excerpt:
"Patrick Henry was not alone in this belief. John Adams wrote, "Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self-defense." Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." What did they know then that we have since forgotten?

This new, perfidious United Nations treaty is an extension of the disarming of the citizens of Great Britain, Australia, and comparable efforts in the nations of South Africa and Canada. The result in England and Australia has been a steady rise in crime. While robberies rose 81 percent in England and Wales, they fell 28 percent in the United States. While assaults increased 53 percent in England and Wales, they declined by 27 percent in the United States. Meanwhile, a flourishing black market in illegal guns exists in England.

The UN propaganda machine is supporting this new assault on the ability of people to arm themselves against the tyrannies of despotism with an hour-long video titled "Armed to the Teeth: The Worldwide Plague of Small Arms."

Filled with images of bloody bodies, child soldiers and weeping mothers, the villains of the film are not the terrorists or others engaged in the butchery, but the firearms they use. This totally ignores outbreaks of savagery that have involved simple farm tools and machetes.

No, this treaty aims ultimately to shut down the manufacture of small arms and, in particular, those that are owned by the free citizens of free societies. On April 26th, New York State's top court ruled against a class-action suit that sought to make twenty-five gun manufacturers responsible for six murders and a wounding. A civil society recognizes that individuals have a right to self-defense even if some abuse it to commit crimes.

In 1997, the United Nations, though, created yet another bureaucracy to disarm of the world's people. Most Americans are unaware the UN operates behind closed doors. It is the most undemocratic of the institutions that seek global hegemony. The new anti-gun treaty will no doubt be quickly signed by the nations still under the domination of despots or which, like England, have given themselves over to a level of socialism that defies even the powers of the monarchy the British curbed with the Magna Carta in 1215."

We must not vote the lesser of two evils this election.  Both parties have sold out the nation to further their vision of a new world order, a socialist utopia of one world government.  The evidence is overwhelming, so much so that I cannot explain it all here.

I hope you will visit my website, JOEOLIVAFORPRESIDENT.ORG, where I have put out a lot more deatils of how this has been occurring.  The virtual lock on power by the two majors has given us partisanship, not leadership.  Our system of checks and balances between the three branches of government is now checks and balances between the two parties.

You will also find links to over 20 independent candidates.  A strong independent/third party vote will begin the process of breaking this hold on power and encourage more folks to get over their fears and also vote I/TP for 2010 and 2012.

As an independent candidate for President, I welcome the opportunity to participate in these discussions about the future of our great nation. You can visit my website, joeolivaforpresident.org for more about my candidacy. Thanks.

Deerhunter:  I don't disagree the NRA, GOA, SAF, CCRKBA, et. al. will fight it but they can only do so much to influence the Congress and I have very little faith in the GOP anymore.  Except for a few who will stand before the House and condemn this legislation,  my impression is the GOP has become a collection of lap dogs to liberals and will not fight.  They will whine and whimper like they've done for several years and H.R. 6257 will pass and we're back to a moronic assault weapons ban.

And tomorrow we're supposed to hear from SCOTUS on the D.C. handgun ban.  I felt pretty comfortable they would confirm that the 2d Amendment confers an individual right and the D.C. ban was unconstitutional but after their monstrous ruling on the death penalty for the child rapist, I'm having severe doubts.  If those same 5 liberal judges rule against the "individual right" conferred in the 2d Amendment, it's going to get real ugly real fast.

You might be right Bill, but somewhere someone said that The NRA was in with the mix, not in those exact words, but to that tune and I remember just recently how we beat those scum bags on Our Right to Carry To Work, except in Federal and State Parking lot's. The NRA did that. They won. I do see what you are saying although and I do feel like you do too. I think things are going to get real ugly. But on the same hand, I won't panic. I will keep on doing what I have been doing. Staying in constant contact with my Reps, and my lousy two Senators that need pullled out.

I wish I hadn't deleted the email I just received from Bill Nelson. This would have been the perfect place to post it. It was his same ol democrat response to me.

There are alot of House Reps and Senators that still do believe in the right to carry and Our 2nd. Ammendment. I see all the points made. Gus Bilirakis is my House Rep. Check him out. 9th district in Fl.

I'm not in a panic yet but have my fingers, toes, and 1911's crossed that H.R. 6257 will be tossed out with the days garbage.  However, I'll wager if it doesn't make it this time, it's coming back with a vengeance after the elections when it's likely the libs will have their super majority in both Houses.  They want our guns but don't have the guts to make it a campaign issue so it's chip, chip, chip away at every opportunity.

Big day for D.C. and the 2d Amendment in SCOTUS tomorrow.  I figure it to be 4 and 4 with Kennedy the 'swing'.  Either way, the ripple effect will equate to a tsunami.

Remember folks it is all about the money, Sarah Brady saw an opportunity and seized upon it to become very wealthy from all her anti gun dealings. She wheels her husband around In his wheel chair to get sympathy and donations to the cause, mainly her pockets. She nor ole man ever had to work another day after the nut shot her ole man. It really was not the nuts fault it was Jodie Foster that created the problem by not accomodating this young mans desires.
