"Stop buying foreign food, fruits, vegetables and products - especially clothing and toys. Starve the enemy. Don't put money in the pockets of these foreign companies buying up our land and roads. Go to my web site, click here, and you'll see Made in USA. You can buy Made in America. Invest in America. Save American jobs. Create new jobs for America. Say NO to foreign countries and investors. Our land is NOT for sale to the highest bidder. If it takes marching on your state capitols and recalling (if you have that option under your state constitution) members of your state legislature who don't fight to stop this, then do it. The final steps are underway to end these United States of America. Only we can stop it".
Who is going to stop this plan to destroy these United States of America? Not Congress. With the exception of a few, most are puppets and many are believers in world government as are high ranking military officers. Change will not come with the same players who have been fulfilling the plans of the global monsters the entire time they've been in office. Not Obama who is one of their minions. Not Clinton because she is one of their lackeys. Not McCain because he is either senile or a bald faced liar. We no longer have a Department of Justice. It is totally compromised as anyone with clear thinking and a grasp of what's been happening for decades has seen. It has to be we the people by rejecting the plan for totalitarian government. Have you taken a stand to get rid of elected public officials at all levels that are committed to world government via Agenda 21 and support of the communist UN?
You have VERRY GOOD POINTS---But it's EASIER SAID THAN DONE. Have you noticed how many items from MANY COUNTRYS ,,are out there ? China has about 85% to 90% of all NON-FOODS,and maybe even some food stuffs that I'm not yet aware of. (I DO LOOK AT WHAT I CAN )I'm just glad I don't NEED much. But other people need to FEED and CLOTHE their families, and can't be too choosy. All we CAN do is try to get the involved FEDERAL DEPARTMENTS to WITHDRAW their contracts with those countries AND THAT WOULD BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE !! We need to INSIST on----AMERICAN ONLY !!!!
I needed a new living room suit. Memorial Day weekend I thought I would take a trip up to Thomasville, and High Point, NC to find some furniture bargains. About 12 years ago, there were many outlets with reasonable prices. Now those outlets are merely showrooms for furniture that is shipped from China. Thomasville, Drexel, Henredon, Lexington, High Point, Broyhill, Lane, and dozens more have all left the "furniture capitol of the world" and are now in China. In downtown Thomasville, a great big chair sits in the square to mark its rich history in furniture manufacturing. Not too far away were the empty plants that once employed American workers. They serve as warehouses for the furniture that is shipped back from China. If the manufacturers are realizing savings from the cheap labor in China, Vietnam and Indonesia...they are keeping that savings for themselves.
Tonight I went to the local mall and you are correct ...it is almost impossible to find American made clothing. It is the same with dishes and linens. In a country that once produced 96% of all it consumed, it is amazing to come to the realization that so many companies have betrayed the country that afforded them wealth and accomplishment.
Interesting thought...I was reading an article tonight about corporations continuing to run from country to country, chasing cheap wages and weak labor laws. As they run, they better look back because the unions are not too far behind.
Time for Labor Unions to Go Global
Op/Ed as printed in the Chicago-Sun Times A global economy requires global unions. When companies were local, unions had local agreements. When companies were national, unions had national agreements. Now, in the global economy, where giant corporations dictate the rules, global agreements on wages, working conditions and environmental standards are desperately needed.
The global capital market means that corporations will continue to shift jobs from country to country, chasing cheap wages and weak labor laws.. In order to fulfill that mission, unions must have the vision to go global too. Coordinated global union action is the only way to confront global corporations.
No one can stop the process of globalization. In the future, unions must unite workers across borders in the same industry and same corporations to win agreements that raise living standards everywhere.
First steps have been taken by Union Network International, a global union of 900 service worker organizations in 150 countries. UNI has successfully begun to develop global agreements that commit companies to adhere to higher standards for working conditions and environmental protection in all countries in which they operate.
Maybe someone, some day, will provide the public service of posting on the internet categories of products and what can be purchased within those categories that is American made vs foreign made. I did see a small article once that listed a few items, but it was no where near extensive enough.
