Top 40 rock stations are playing a song by an upcoming star that has lesbian undertones.
The song, performed by Katy Perry, is called I Kissed a Girl. The lyrics speak of kissing a girl "just to try it," adding that the "experimental game" is "just human nature." In addition, the singer is hopeful that her boyfriend does not mind she is experimenting with a lesbian relationship.
Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America takes issue with the song luring girls into sexual experimentation. "... [E]ven if they have a boyfriend and consider themselves heterosexual, [the singer entices them] to just try a lesbian experience," she maintains. "It's really intended to mess girls up."
Wright argues that the song works to break down a girl's sense of morality concerning lesbianism, and also works to get girls to be less critical of homosexuality.
Billboard Magazine currently ranks the song at number 11 on the charts, which means it is getting ample airplay. "Radio stations that are playing this song over and over again are really encouraging people to violate one of the commandments against adultery and infidelity," Wright chides.
Wright shares that she is reminded of Proverbs 20 -- "Stolen bread tastes sweet, but it turns to gravel in the mouth" -- which she interprets to mean that what is forbidden may be enticing, but with it comes serious negative consequences.
Yoour fighting an endless battle in case you didn't know. People think this all A.O.K. as you have seen.
About Me: Keep The 2nd. Ammendment Alive At All Cost!! God gave us this right through man. Florida Constitution Article I, Section 8(a) The right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and of the lawful authority of the state shall not be infringed, except that the manner of bearing arms may be regulated by law.
Unfortunately, Deerhunter is probably correct. If even on this site, which has many conservatives on it, there are a great number of people who could not care less, we're already past the point of being able to save our nation in this regard. It's too bad. The consequences of gay marriage being allowed and the pushing of homosexual lifestyles may not be seen for years, but it will come. The sexual revolution of the 70's opened the door for the AIDS epidemic and many other societal ills.
"Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle... I know this one will offend many people, but I still want to say it.
It is because many Christian and conservatives in America (not only in this forum) have this "don't know don't care" altitude, so the liberals have their way easily, because this know this also.
In case you don't know, a bunch of Christians not registered to vote, and Christian registered voter not voting is good for nothing, and it only takes a few liberals turn the system up side down.
If we don't have the a crisis awareness mindset, crisis WILL come.
It's pretty sick isn't it? The children of this country are an experiment for this government. Their goal is to destroy the American family by corrupting the children.. As long as parents won't fight for their rights as parents this will continue to happen. Parents need to start monitoring what their children watch on the tube and listen to as far as music is concerned, and see to it that they get a correct education even if it means that they must do the educating themselves. This also means a "moral" education. That is something that is being taken away from them in the schools. If you're going to have children in this day and age then get ready to work very hard to reinforce the family values, education, and morals. Raising children isn't for the weak...
Lady Jane, you hit the nail right on the head. Our children are becoming some sort of petri dish to see what happens when traditional values and morals are tossed out the window. Unfortunately, they will be the ones paying the horrible price.
And, kmcheng, you're right. the "don't know, don't care" attitude has been destroying us for decades. It's funny that some people who are so upset about illegal immigration are so angry at those who remain uninformed about it yet these same people think nothing of this erosion of our society.
