I Am An American!

I hope I have posted this in the right place, if not could someone please help?

Though my ancestry is Irish, German, and probably British, I do not live there, I live here and now and,

They did not sacrifice and give up all those things to see that “Great Melting Pot” become a “Great Salad Bowl”.

Yep.  Teddy Roosevelt summed it up well in 1915:

The Constitution Party will be on just about every state's ticket for Presidential choices.  If not, then just don't vote for POTUS.  Both in the dem and RINO party are guilty of felony encouragement of illegal invaders and doing nothing to uphold the Constitution, especially against a bonifide invasion of many millions, as per their Sworn Oath.

I just found out the Rep Sen for my state candidate is in the pocket of big oil and therefore really a RINO.  He won't get my vote.  Just say no to RINOs and socialists.

It used to be!

You know, I find the statement "it used to be" both interesting and disturbing because it projects a possible sense of hopelessness but I myself do not feel hopeless for my Country.

We the American Citizens showed our resolve when they tried to push the "Amnesty Legislation" down our throats, remember? We united and let the professional politicians know what we thought, what we expected, and what we demanded of them as "OUR" elected representatives but what happened after that?

We sat down and patted ourselves on the back and said "Good job" and waited for something else to pops it's ugly head up rather than taking the initiative and pressing forward by removing through our local and state elections those who are concerned more about illegal aliens and special interest groups than they are there constituents.

To be fair not all did this but many did feeling that they had done their part or done enough but my friends it is never enough. The Freedoms and Liberties that we enjoy in this Country as Americans started more than 200 years ago and have had to be fought for and protected every year, every minute, every second since then because whether you choose to believe it or not there are those whose plans and goals are to see the complete destruction of The United States of America and yes there are those even within this Nation who call themselves Americans who desire to see this, just look at the history of the ACLU and this is just one group, one organization that takes our laws and twists and perverts them in an attempt to subvert our Founding Documents and way of life.

I am an Associate Pastor and yes I am looking for that eternal home that I have been promised but, right now "THIS" is where I live. I live in the "Greatest Nation" upon the face of the earth even with its problems, its faults and failings, this Nation The United States of America and, this Nation was not a "Great Experiment" but rather it was and is "A Great Plan and Dream". Our Forefathers, our Founding Fathers had a vision and dream of a Nation based upon the principles of Freedom and Liberty and the blueprint, the foundation which they used was based upon the principles and precepts of The Word of God and the evidence of this is more than abundant.

"It used to be?" with all do respect, "It Still Is". I still have hope for my Country because my hope is in Him who is greater than any problem that might arise.

I am so very proud to be an AMERICAN..!!  I am embarrassed by some of those who try to govern by "not stepping on any other countries toes".  They go on to pander to peace, just try to get along with our neighbors.  Then some candidate for president suggests that WE as AMERICANS should set THE example to the rest of the world by cutting back on our food intake, keep our homes cooler in winter & warmer in summer, sell our big vans and suvs for little cracker boxes.    Hey, it was tried before...!!   We all thought he was just a stupid hick from Georgia.... turns out he was...!!      So what shall we call you...???   

WE as AMERICANS  are the ONLY "super power" left on earth.  Seems like every other country on the face of the earth knows it BUT us..!  It is time we acted like a "super power" country.  There is absolutely NO reason why AMERICA should worry or be concerned about how ANY pip-squeak country feels about us.  We already know that nearly the entire world DETESTS us.  Yet, every country envies our way of life.    I really do not lose any sleep wondering how we can better our relations with others countries...   HELL, that is THEIR worry..!    We have the WEAPONS, we have the MANPOWER,  we have  the stongest, finest military fighting force known.   We have enough of an arsenal to cover the earth..!             How many years have we had to hear our wind bags in Congress talk about diplomacy being the answer?  We keep drawing lines in the sand, then retreat, then draw a line in the sand, etc, etc,.... it is truly EMBARRASSING...!!     TALK IS CHEAP...!!  No matter WHO it is.....EVERYONE IS IMPRESSED with POWER..!!!    So who cares if any one likes us..... they ALL HATE US.....  BUT..... they RESPECT  US..!!!    And, ...they RESPECT our POWER....  and our THREAT of POWER..!!        A couple of shots over the bow of some country should put to rest ANY and ALL doubts.  We just need our own people to be UNITED behind our country and confident that we can bury ANY country back to the stone age.       

We should call one BIG " time out " and let every other country know that we are playing a new game in town and it is going to be by OUR rules.....and it is going to be in ENGLISH..!

First, we will support every allied country exactly in the same manner as they support us.  If this does not meet their foreign policy requirements... then we will remove their country name from our ally list and put it on our ADVERSARY list.... and commence dealing with them according..!   NO EXCEPTIONS..!

We cease ALL foreign aid to ALL countries.  NO EXCEPTIONS !

We cease to be the world's police force.  Not every country WANTS or is ABLE to live like AMERICA.   Some countries are NOT ready for a democratic form of a republic...... not EVER.          This is the main reason why every country HATES us..... We insist on shoving everything we know and do right down their throats..!!    Can't blame them..!!    I wouldn't want to see FOREIGNERS in my country telling me what I can do and cannot do..!!

Speaking of the illegals...       If oiur government insists on it being impossible to deport the illegals....., then HOW do they know there are 12,000,000 of them....???     It is REALLY ....NOT that difficult to get them out.    There are approx. 300,000,000 REAL AMERICANS in this country.  EACH of us knows .....or suspects at least a handful, perhaps more who fit the description of illegals.   All it takes is a few phone calls to the INS.   Now, the hardest part is going to be to find someone with enough "STONES" to get the ball rolling. 

Everyone who has a bit of authority in illegal immigration are too concerned about their legacy, or their next pay check....!        REMEMBER...every other country hates the USA, so quit worrying about upsetting  Pedro's apple cart.   He and his brood on welfare only love the USA for the DOLLAR.. 

Remember, we are making the rules now.!!  And they are in ENGLISH....!!! 

 Visit a MILITARY CEMETRY...... and look at the CROSSES......   there are our HEROS...         

God Bless each of our VETERANS who are serving and have served our wonderful UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...!!

Very good post in its entirety, hizson.  I say "it used to be" because I am a realist.  I see the changes that have occurred during my lifetime and the direction we are being herded into by those who wish to rule the world and destroy our sovereignty.  They are not done with us yet - they have barely begun; however, our hope is in the Lord Jesus.  His will be done regarding this country (who, incidentally, has denied HIM access in so many areas of daily life!)

Guess you don't travel much ...this IS the greatest country in the world- warts and all!

Good morning all. I apologize for the length of this piece

This thread was the first that I have done in quite sometime here. I was doing a little bit when I first joined but I was attempting to help a friend who was trying to get his own thing going but for some reason it didn't take and it wasn't for his lack of enthusiasm.

The purpose of my post wasn't to project hatred of any kind nor was it to question anyones love of this Great Nation as I am sure that 99% of those who read here tend to be of a "Conservative" mindset. It did what I hoped it would do, generate the thought process of each of us.

As I stated, I am an Associate Pastor and maybe my view points are not wanted but, I believe with all my heart that this Nation that we call home, The United States of America was ordained by God to exist and that it was by His Almighty Hand in helping our Forefathers that it was established. If you choose to disagree with me that's fine, it is your right but, it will not change what I believe and what our historical documentation verifies.

We, you and I are Americans whether we can trace our families name back to the founding of this Nation or whether we went through the right of passage of Citizenry yesterday, We are Americans.

Yes we have our differences, our faults, and our failings, and we most definately have problems with our "Elected Officials" but, we also have the ability if we would only us it wisely to change the face of our Local, State, and Federal Governments. It is up to us as Americans to remove those from office who do not have the best interests of this Nation in both mind and heart, unfortunately Third Party Candidates seem to always come in at the last minute and subsequently voting for them gives the greater threat a political office. I'm sorry but I must be truthful, this just seems to be how it happens.

I know this is supposed to be a thread, sweet and simple and not long but let me share just one more thing that is presently happening with me.

We (our little Church) are currently in the process of incorporating. We are using a set of "Rules Of Incorporation" that are required by our State and the I.R.S. We do not believe in tithing as it is and has been taught by main stream denominations we believe in giving where there is a need, i.e. "If you have a financial need give to that need, If the rent or power of the Chirch needs to be paid, then give to that need" so this has nothing to do with "Money". I am a Truck Driver, this is what I do for a living, I pastor for free because I believe that is what God has called me to do for His kingdom (enough for preaching) but, if we want to move to a building we must go through this process for insurance purposes to be able to rent a building. To do this we as a Church are not supposed to speak out on any political issues whatsoever. See for yourself:

So in reality what I am doing right now could possibly become illegal once we have incorporated even though I am an American Citizen and I am guaranteed the "Right of Freedom of Speech" by the Constituion why? Because a Pastor attempts to to make people realize the moral implications of a thing or issue and its effect not only upon themselves but upon their families and friends, upon those around them and, upon the society as a whole.

Do we have problems, faults, and failings as a Nation? Yes we do but, we are still the Greatest Nation upon the face of the earth and, We, you and I have been given the ability to keep it that way.

If I may close with a passage of scripture
