I have some questions about posts being removed by moderators.  (Incidentally, the following was posted at "Hate Speech" four times in succession before I asked my question, but I'm still at a loss.)   How many monitors are there?  How do they get to be monitors?  Do they volunteer, are they appointed and who decides if they qualify?  I've concluded that my confusion lies with the words "This post" without referencing which post or whose post was removed.  Furthermore, while it was SP who removed it, it was MFF who posted it.

Compared with other forums, I've found FS to be a very professional website and see that a lot of thought went into its creation.   When I joined, I printed out the General Posting Guidelines so I'm familiar with the ten posting rules.  Thanks in advance for addressing my questions, whether it's here or via private email.  Ima

I see this a lot on this forum, but it never indicates which post was removed or what question was asked of a moderator.  We all know not to direct questions to the moderators in public, but everyone must be asking, like me, "Was it my post or was it a post I never saw because it was removed before it hit the board?"  Color me puzzled.

Please use the proper channel for this questioning.

If you would like an explanation as to why a post was removed or a warning was given, please use the feedback page or send the moderator a private message or PM Admin.  A thread is not the proper place.  Thanks much,

When you see that Ima, it means the post that MFF made was innapropriate and was edited by the Moderator, That does not mean that MFF was posting as a Mod.

We do that so people will know that:

A) there post was removed
B) Why it was removed
C) Who removed it
D) Who they can contact with any questions.
