I am a non-Christian because I no longer have a need for religion, given that my morals and actions are well developed. However, I feel that Christians who do not believe in the just-war doctrine have no right to call themselves Christians.

I am a small government Republican. Though I am a registered Republican, partisanship is killing us. I believe that intellectuals and all rationally minded people can always come to an agreement. I will always choose a conservative Democrat over a liberal Republican. I believe that both parties are equally responsible for the destruction of our nation and our values.

I believe that the so called "War on Terror" should never have been started. I believe it is unwise to provoke Iran. I am a believer in Civil Liberties. Civil Liberties are given by the Divine Creator and extends even to non-citizens. I believe that information about Guantanamo Bay should be released to the public.

I believe that the War on Drugs should be ended. Delegating parental responsibility to the State has caused more harm than necessary. This domestic war also funds the insurgency groups that harm our courageous soldiers.

I am unafraid of terrorists.  To fight a war for freedom and to lose freedom at home is disgusting. The Pentagon and World Trade Center attacks where not conducted by the federal government and the coverup was to hide its own incompetence. However, given the information from declassified documents on government actions on its own citizens, I would not be surprised.

Illegal immigration is a large problem in terms of National Security. I have no tolerance for racism. I believe that the best way to solve this problem is to end birthright citizenship for those who come here illegally, and also to end the welfare state. I absolutely do not agree with deportation of whole illegal alien populations and I do not agree with the construction of a border fence, though individual states and cities should be allowed to construct their own.

I am a firm believer in national sovereignty. I am opposed to NAFTA and any North American trading bloc.

There is no grand gay conspiracy. Homosexuallity is not a disease. I do not approve of this behavior, but I am in no position to force my beliefs on others, especially when both parties are in agreement.

There is probably much more that I have left out. You can just ask me.

I also want to know how the moderators are here? Are they harsh? Do they unfairly single users out sometimes? Are they open to dissenting opinions?

I'm a moderator Rellik and WELCOME!Smile

We are open to clean, heathy debate as long as members do not attack each other unmercifully or shovel conspiracy theories like horse manure.

The bulk of us here are ALSO against the NAU and we work together to DESTROY horrible amnesty bills that the fat cats in DC try to sneak through the house and senate.

While we are a diverse community...not everyone agrees with everyone else on certain issues- we try to remain civil and remember that each of us comes from a different walk of life, different life experiences and personal knowledge of some events. The bulk of us lean towards conservatism- at least those here who are "honest" about their intent.....

So again, Welcome to FS and I hope that you will review the "rules thread" before proceeding.

Here is the link below for the FS forum policy. Thanks for joining us and I hope you will help us remain active in fighting "amnesty for illegals", border security and oil independence for America among other pertinent topics.

Why don't you spend some time reading various threads. Most of us are conservative, not moderate. There are issues that greatly concern us. We are concerned about the large number of Americans asleep at the switch who are causing our liberty and way of life to be lost. We are concerned about the new, anything goes and everyting is equal no matter what the morality, ethics, cultural context, and consequences of today's politically correct establishment.

Some have come here to flame and troll while most  just exchange conservative thought to try to further and make known conservative causes. You do not sound like a conservative, but you can make your own judgements about posting here. Those who both read and follow the rules have little if any problems here. But most of the time if you do not think you belong some place, you probably do not. I do not belong blogging on socialist, liberal, progressive, or even moderate sites. I am as I stated before a conservative. And I blog in peace on this site for conservatives. That saidd, Nobody has been kicked off for properly expressing their views.

I'm definitely a conservative, though I'm closer to the more traditional conservatives than to neoconservatives.

It's not an insult. It's what they call themselves. "neocon" is the derogatory term though.

Very interesting....while I don't consider wikipedia a "valid" source for some things... however their explanation was sufficient for this particular term.

I consider myself a Reagan Republican.....and of course admired William F. Buckley Jr..

I am not a war monger...no one likes war- it's terrible! BUT, I believe as Reagan did- "Peace through strength"...

Glad to know you are a conservative Rellik, but in your initial post you said you would always vote for a conservative democrat over a liberal republican. Personally, for me, depends on the person....I hope you don't think Obama is a "conservative" democrat....do you?!

Maybe he's more conservative than McCain, but I wouldn't consider him a conservative. I'm not voting for either of them in November.

Rellik....you said,

"I absolutely do not agree with deportation of whole illegal alien populations and I do not agree with the construction of a border fence, though individual states and cities should be allowed to construct their own".

The majority of illegal aliens are federal felons. They start their USA criminal career by sneaking over the border. Then they get themselves  forged/stolen (maybe even yours) IDs. Then they steal jobs Americans will do.....for a USA wage (so they don't have to live 12-20 to a bedroom). The way they steal these jobs is to accept any wage above 3rd world pay. The next federal felony they commit is they take cash payments, avoiding federal taxes.

They are masters at milking the system. They use their forged/stolen IDs to get all kinds of social services, such as food stamps, section 8 housing.....you name it....they know how to get it.

They destroy the emergency room systems wherever they settle. Their children overcrowd and destroy the public school system wherever they settle.

They cost billions for incarceration for every crime imagineable, child abuse, rape, murder. yes, they maim and kill about 25 Americans a day, more in six years than the military casualities in Iraq.

They drive drunk, they don't have licenses or insurance.

They refuse to learn our language or our culture. Have you noticed the Spanish signs in Home Depot, Lowes....and all the labels in grocery stores? Do you think it's OK that English speaking Americans have to push buttons to get someone on the phone who speaks our language?

As for the fence...I believe that fences make for good neighbors. The only people who don't want a fence are usually those who are benefitting from a porous border. That would be the drug dealers, the drug users, the terrorists and the new age plantation owners, better known as the businesses that are exploiting this cheap illegal alien labor force. Last but not least wuld be the politicians who pander  to all these people (illegal aliens included) in the hopes of getting votes for themselves.

Right now they are free to come here at their will, go wherever they want and do whatever they want no matter how many laws they break......behavior that would land an American citizen in prison.

My dictionary defines that kind of behavior as anarchy. And that is what these people are creating in our nation.

They are destroying the rule of law, our borders, our culture and our language.

PS: the country is called the United States for a reason. If states start walling themselves off and closing their borders  we will no longer be united. Perhaps you may want to rethink your proposed solution. No need to think globally, but do try to think north, south, east, west. Those borders define our national sovereignty.

We can stop the tide of illegal aliens without resorting to overkill. They will all leave if we cut benefits. Furthermore, Ramos and Compean wouldn't be in jail right now if we ended the war on drugs. It's unfortunate that our very own policies put them in that situation. Besides, you make many generalizations about these people and you make it out to be that they are all organized and out to get you. Have you been to Mexico? Believe me, if you were in the same situation, you would do the same thing.

What we need to do is to have a common sense and practical approach that will not breed hostility and will be supported by mainstream Americans. Our current policy is raids, deportations of entire families, and vilification. We talk about immigrant Latino groups as leeches and then we attack them for siding with the Democrats. That doesn't help us at all, does it? How did that end up? Oh yeah, we ended up with Obama and McCain. Great work guys. They will all leave on their own if we pursue the strategically advantageous policies. Anything more stems from overreaction and unnecessary fear.

Much of what you have said Rellick .. stuns me.  But I will leave one comment in regards to your 'if you were in the same situation, you would do the same thing' :

No.  I would come to the country LEGALLY.  My grandparents all did.  My grandparents served in the military AND fought for what they believed the US was, a land of opportunity for those that wanted the same freedoms they came here for.  They knew they would have to work hard for anything they got, there would be no hand outs.  They also learned to speak english.

I have many friends who came here AFTER they were cleared to do so, and this was even POST 9/11.  It used to be, you didn't come here until you had housing, a way to support yourself and enough money saved up to help you along until you could get a job AND you had to have a sponsor, someone willing to back you so that the Gov't didn't reach into already leaking pockets to keep you and your family afloat.

The reason why so many illegals side with the dems is that they know who will not stop them from coming here AND will continue to look the other way for a vote.  It IS that simple, unfortunately.  Republicans do not want welfare in the way that dems have wanted it.  WHOM would an illegal vote for?  that's right: I said VOTE because they are.  Why are the dems so against voter ID's?  that way it's confirmed you ARE whom you say you are, and there is a record of who you are when voting.

Because the dems have much to lose by the country going that way.  In the last several elections, in my hometown anyways, the dems are the ones that were getting busted
