LAPD immigrant policy goes to judge

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A lawsuit over the LAPD's policy Special Order 40 goes before a judge Tuesday. Laughing

The directive prohibits officers from questioning suspects about their immigration status. Yell

A Los Angeles resident filed a lawsuit, seeking to declare Special Order 40 unlawful. Laughing

The suit states that the policy hampered the department's ability to exchange information with federal immigration officials.  Laughing

Some say repealing the order would make illegal immigrants fearful of police. Yell

Why is there a question in L.A. about Illegal? These people have broken Federal Law and many times local laws carrying false or stolen identification. <br/>They should be investigated like any other criminal. You said it #1 . Make Illegals fearful of police yah because up until now they just look the other way as have we all but look what its done to us. They have been able to sit at home depots and whistle at girls go by and buy beer and drink in public there but thats ok lets just ignore them they do not have to live by our law or speak our Language. We live in a different time (and differnet city) from when Sp. Order 40 was enacted. Its an antiquated, outdated, obsolete law which NO LONGER serves the purpose for which it was put into place. The people, it was meant to help, have only learned that they can BS their way past the LAPD, and the LAPD can do nothing about it in fear of being sued by clowns like Luis Carrillo. C'mon LAPD. Stop living in fear of Luis Carrillo. Repeal this NOW! Mark As Violation

this is not only a problem in L.A and with the LAPD. It is SoCal and Nationwide. The intruders have come here illegally and need to be evicted immediately. They are supposedly bettering their way of life but as what cost, By depleting my way life. I am sick and tired of all the special treatment they get. They are like human cockroaches. Eradication is the key. Leave willing or by force. Your choice!! Mark As Violation

Aw c'mon people...it's the quality of the person not where they came from that matters. I'd rather live next door to decent acting illegals than crazy "citizens" from anywhere or of any race. Plus the girls are pretty if you tell the truth! Mark As Violation

Illegal aliens are criminals, one and all. They should be ferreted out, rounded up like cattle, and be immediately deported. Period. Special Order 40 is doubtlessly directly responsible for the deaths of many US citizens. It needs to go. NOW. The problem is that we have a Mexican nationalist traitor in the mayor's office, and the corrupt Mexican government may as well be running the city council the way creeps like Marxist dirtbag Alarcon and Garcetti behave. What you guys don't understand is the law. It is illegal to cross, I will agree that much, but our constitution gives rights. It is true that the Constitution does not give foreigners the right to enter the U.S. But once here, it protects them from discrimination based on race and national origin and from arbitrary treatment by the government (Police and Status).
