I don't want my name on that thing because the comments made are not the comments I would make.

GET CONGRESS ATTENTION! CHANGE YOUR W-4 AT WORK AND CLAIM 10 DEPENDENTS SO NO TAXES WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR PAYCHECK. WHEN THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN MAYBE THEY WILL REMEMBER THEY ARE SERVANTS TO WE THE PEOPLE.
I want the GOP to know that McCain will lose. He has not and seemingly will not adjust his positions to satisfy the conservative base. He can do what he wants and so can the GOP. But I am doing what I want as well. And enough other conservative Republicans will do what they want and teach the "moderate," and only interested in low taxes Republicans that they do not get what they want if they disregard the beliefs of conservatives.
I tried to sign it but there was a problem for some reason about my county. I no that this letter is a little bias towards Ron Paul. If I could I would vote for Paul for the folling reasons:
He is the closest thing left that I agree with that has the combo of following, and the money. It would be better then what was pre-selected for us already. Do I agree with paul 100% Hell no! . Tom Tancredo was always my man. Sadly this has what it has come down to. After Paul it is Baldwin as we also need to start getting behind a new party for it can add more converts and start breaking the mold on the failed Republican& Dem party.
For all who have fallen,we must move forward But, for the right reasons.*In my mind, so called "legal residency" is just as a threat as illegal immigration and it the missing topic in the immigration debate.*Every man dies, but not every man truely lives*
It's an idea, but it misses key points, and promotes Ron Paul, which is a hard pill to swallow for some.
I have corresponded with Mr. Duncan before; he is the one who removed our names from the "want more money for the RNC" list. He strikes me as a guy who is willing to listen, and actually might get the hint if swamped with similar letters from us. I doubt he can do anything at this time, but it's worth a try. At least they will know what is going on and why.
What worries me a bit are all who are willing to vote for Obama instead of McCain. I wonder if these folks are trying to emphasize the statement they are making, or if they actually will vote for him?
Should we get started and write some more letters, and perhaps send them off at the same time to make an additional statement, or do you agree that it is too late in the game?
Sen McCain already has problems with his base. The news today that he is considering Bloomberg as VP is troubling. If he does this, say goodbye to Conservative support. Bloomberg, Grah(amesty), and Lieberman are all deal breakers. Add in the latest "Comprehensive Immigration" talk, support for Cap and Trade, and No Drilling in ANWR and it's over. The threat of Obama as President will only go so far, and Clinton is actually looking good to some of us Conservatives in comparison to McCain's stances. I am starting to think that he really does not want to be elected. Well, we aren't excited about him either. Look at the lack of donations and campaigning support McCain has gotten from his Base, or anyone else other than Washington Insiders for that matter. Gallup Poll on June 11 shows 68% of Hispanics voting Democratic. McCain pandering to them and abusing his conservative base is idiotic. It's not worth the trade and anyone advising McCain to do this should be fired. The epitome of Hispanic Arrogance, Juan Hernandez, has put the "kiss of death" on McCain and he had better do something about it before the GE gets into full swing. We still can't figure out why Bush and McCain loves Mexicans more than Americans. This is just advice coming from a Conservative that travels and talks to 100's of people a week. We feel that McCain, as with the rest of our government, has lost touch with Main Stream Americans, the angry men in the Heartlands. The ones who elect Presidents.
Any statement made by me is in my humble opinion (IMHO), unless followed by a reference. I take no responsibility for references, no matter how outrageous.
Here's my advice to McCain, and any GOP candidates this fall.
IMMEDIATELY make the stand that we will explore ANY area of the United States for it's energy resources. We will open up Shale and Coal for oil production, and move to use cellulous organics for biofuel.
Make it clear to the American people that not ONE DROP of domestic oil or biofuels gets on the open market, UNTIL it has been certified that we are energy independent. This step actually NEEDS LEGISLATION to do as the Oil Companies had that provision put into the Energy Plan that Bush allowed the OIL COMPANIES to write last year. We need to MANDATE that domestic energy sources remain in the USA until it is shown we will have a surplus in the LONG term.
Demand that the Federal Government builds it's own refineries. Use the revenues to drive alternate energy development and to pay for construction/operating costs. Make sure that all new refineries has the built-in capability to be refitted to produce other energy sources as the need for oil is reduced. This will lower the chance of the refineries being abandoned later on, and of course if that happens, the jobs created locally will also disappear. It's time to make rational decisions on PERMANENT work sites. Point is, our addiction to oil WILL be reduced, as we only have a 60 year supply using ALL our resources. We BETTER be off oil before then, Period.
Although the above won't increase domestic supply immediately, it will have the effect on lowering the WORLD supply costs, and will increase the dollar value, which means we can get more for the same dollar. This will happen because OPEC will attempt to stop these actions by lowering the cost. It's what happened in the mid 70's, and is the main reason we never developed other fuels after that crisis. We started getting unlimited, cheap oil from OPEC. The dollar will recover as the investment potential in opening these energy venues are huge.
I think most of us are at the point with gas costs that we are ready to tell the Green jerks to F-off. I have heard rumors that the Dems are already behind closed doors, trying to figure out how to change their stance on the above without being seen as weak to the Greens (a far left, powerful caucas), and as flip floppers to voters.
But, they are being forced to do so by the American people. If the Dems are shown to be idiots on the gas issue before November, forget getting the WH, and any Congressional advantages. In fact, they will lose Congresss seats. This wil be the NUMBER ONE ISSUE, even over the War, come November, because the prices of fuels are going to continue to go up, which in turn, drives ALL consumer prices up.
It would be a catastrophe if OBAMA s the first to come out with the above plan!
It would be over for McCain AND the GOP. Maybe it would serve the GOP right for being such buffoons, but would hurt US the most.
So, if you agree with me on the above, write to McCain and the RNC and tell them they need to be first, with the most.
McCain has to figure out a way to change his stance on ANWR and make the above declaration.
All he would have to do is the same as he did on Shamnesty. Tell the American People that, while he doesn't agree with drilling in ANWR, the shouts from the American People are more important than his stances, and he "gets it". I believe this will bring a lot of independents over to him.
I have never figured out why a Presidential candidate just doesn't say "I will do the will of the people, regardless of my own opinions". Then promise to have studies, straw polls, and peoples comment forums, that are properly advertised so we know we can give our input on any major policies.
When in the first Democratic Primary debate was televised last year, one of the questions was, "If 91% of the American People say they want English as the Official language, raise your hand if you would support that". No one raised their hands, AND Clinton and Obama fought each other over being the first explain their non support. And of course, both explanations were some far left reason.
But, forget about English only, that's not what flabbergasted me! It was KNOWING 91% of Americans wanted the thing to happen, and they stood there and defied the majority. Now, spin it anyway you want, but you ain't convincing me that there is ANY reason to defy 91% of the American People.
By the People, For the People. If they are going to stand there and admit they are not going to represent US, then why do we want to vote for them?
We might as well keep Bush. He does what he wants regardless of popular opinion (immigration reform comes to mind). It's why we hate him!
Obama (and Clinton) is no better.
Any statement made by me is in my humble opinion (IMHO), unless followed by a reference. I take no responsibility for references, no matter how outrageous.
This is good advice, and more in tune with what the Republican Party needs to do--now. They continue to blow off what is best for the country, and it will have repercussions big time--though it already has. If McCain doesn't make some kind of turnaround, he is going to have major problems.
We do not have the refining capacity to refine all the oil that is being produced today. Oil companies are not evil as all the democrats claim. They are total fools and have no idea what a competitive market drilling and producing oil is. Just ask each oil company how much money they lost when Venezuela nationalized all the oil companies. Billions with a B.
TEXAS: One of the few states that can secede from the Union.
I am furious that the Democrats, Independents, and the liberal news media were able to select the Republican Presidential candidate. There is little difference between Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Many Democrats do not want either Hillary or Obama, but McCain is an acceptable substitute for them even if he claims to be a Republican.
When I first read this letter, my reaction was the same as msbobbie's, "I don't want my name on that thing because the comments made are not the comments I would make." Also, the only option is to indicate support for Ron Paul. I do not support Ron Paul because of his position on a couple of issues.
For a couple of days, I thought about this letter. After thinking, I realized that there is no other organized opposition to John McCain as the Republican nominee. If I express my displeasure with McCain through an organized effort, this would have to be it. So I signed the letter, not in support of Ron Paul, but in opposition to John McCain.
My hope is that a miracle will happen at the Republican National Convention and someone else will get the nomination. I know that this is virtually impossible, but who knows what the Ron Paul supporters will be able to do. If enough Ron Paul supporters can get selected as delegates to the national convention, and they can abstain from voting during the first round, then perhaps someone else could get the nomination.
Is it too late for Republicans to select their own nominee? We will see.
