Walmart and your stimulus check

I just don't understand people. The government gives us a stimulus check to try and stimulate OUR economy and what do people do? They go to frickin' WALMART! The only economy that is being stimulated by going to Walmart is China's. I am a firm believer in buying from my local merchants (yes, I know...they get stuff from China too) but at least the local small business owners and mom-and-pop shops aren't building huge stores to put everyone else out of business.

I'm a business owner and I hate it when I see people going to competitors in other towns because they are only hurting our own local economy. That bumper sticker that says, "Think Globally....Act Locally" is a really good quip. I'm not a huge fan of bumper-sticker politics but that sticker actually makes sense. Help the people in your community that are there to serve your community. Helping China isn't the answer to our economic problems.

Things are tough all over; I know very well from personal experience. However, we should do all we can to bolster the small businesses of America and that starts right in our own communities. Invest your stimulus check in a local business that provides a service not related to goods from China. THAT action will stimulate the economy. Going to Walmart won't. At least not in my opinion.

Walmart isn't getting a penny from me!  I heard that the gov't was angry because people were taking their checks and buying gas and paying their bills with the money... Oh too bad... People aren't suppose to have a mind of their own.  They are suppose to do as they are told by the gov't!  Bend over people!  They will figure out a way to spank you for taking care of your family!
