The Boxer-Warner-Lieberman Gas Tax Hike bill is being debated in the Senate.

If adopted, this bill will lead to an increase in gas prices by as much as $3.00 per gallon in the next two decades.

Call the Senate switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and urge your Senators to vote against the Boxer-Warner-Lieberman Gas Tax Hike.  Tell them that gas prices are high enough and we need real solutions, not more taxes.

Thank you for your help to keep our drive to lower gas prices alive.

Some of the Comments made by various senators on this debacle:

quotes from the debate earlier today:

Senator Sessions: “It will make american businesses less competitive in the world, and it will surely damage our economy. It will also be, as everyone who looks at it will admit, a secret, sneaky tax. It’s a tax of about $7 trillion on the American people.”

Senator Inhofe: “We as Republicans believe any legislation that attempts to address climate change must protect American families and must protect U.S. workers and has to maintain global fairness. Finally, offer clean energy solutions…I find it most difficult to vote to proceed to the largest tax increase in the history of America. The mechanics of this bill, the impacts, the costs have never been fully debated and they deserve to be.”

Senator Bond: “We should pursue cutting carbon emissions. but we can’t slash family budgets, knock farmers and workers out of jobs and out of productive revenue. At a time when Americans are suffering record pain at the pump, high energy costs, mortgage costs, a soft economy, I am very very concerned about raising energy prices on our families and workers.”

The idiot-Senator Boxer: “The fact of the matter, we wouldn’t lock our child in a hot car, you know, in front of a supermarket. We cannot consign the next generation to a hot planet.”

Wonder why they never mention the 5 coal fired power plants being built in China every month. Could it be they are all globalist.

The DemoRats are (collectively) insane...to even consider any increase in taxes right now demonstrates both their insanity and their callous disregard for ordinary people...the Boxer, Feinstein, Kennedy, Left et al cabal, won't feel the pain...they've made their money, often by underhanded business dealings or chasing ambulances...so they won't feel any pain at these increased taxes.

These people have no shame...they are a collective disgrace to the institutions of our government.

The below link form Phyllis Schlafly will allow a message and a vote:

There are FOUR Major Problems with the Senate Cap-and-Trade bill:

  • Drastically increases energy taxes. The bill forces down supply by restricting carbon dioxide emissions from coal, oil, and natural gas, and thus boosts the price of energy.
  • Hurts the American consumer. Higher energy costs will hit poorer Americans the hardest. If Lieberman-Warner passes, the manufacturing sector projects that over 1 million jobs will be lost by 2022 and two million by 2027. The price of household energy, including electricity, will also drastically increase.
  • Massively increases scope of government. Lieberman-Warner puts the federal government in charge of deciding how much energy Americans can use. This is an unacceptable infiltration into the lives and liberty of American citizens.
  • The same Cap-and-Trade policies in Europe are proven failures. The environmental benefits have proven small to non-existent. The bill reduces emissions of "greenhouse gases" in the United States only. China is the world's largest polluter, with India and other fast-developing nations not far behind. This bill is nothing more than a giant tax increase and an attempt to increase governmental control over your lives!

A recent poll conducted by the National Center for Public Policy Research found that 65% of Americans oppose spending even a penny more for gasoline in an effort to reduce "greenhouse gas" emissions.

The Lieberman-Warner bill promises hardship for the economy and the American consumer. Call your Senators' Capitol Hill offices now and tell them to vote NO on Lieberman-Warner today

Where is the Tar & Feathers?  What is wrong with the American sheeple?  We must get through to the sheeple that the Government is NOT here to help you.  This is the year we must vote people like Feind-Stein out of office all over the country.  Too bad we can't elect Ronnie again.

Welcome, Ron! We look forward to your postings.  FS needs more patriots every day.

You are right.  People have got to be awakened to the destruction that is going on behind thier backs, and they better do it soon, or their loo-laa lives will be sorely diminished.

Thanks for the welcome. I received an email yesterday with a link to a real hard hitting group. It opens with a movie with a lot of information. The web site is called USAwakeup "dot" org. (I'm not sure if I am allowed to leave working links so replace the "dot". They are very educational as well as discussion based.

We must let our Senators know how we feel and that We the People still have a voice as to who we have in Congress at election time and that we are watching them very closely. Tonight I am putting together my next round of nasty emailing and faxing to my Senators for tomorrow morning.

Boys and girls, lets post the TOLL FREE number to the senate switchboard so maybe more people will be tempted to call, I know I can't afford long distance rates at the amount of calling I do---I called 3 last nite to leave messages as it was!!

I am not surprised at this attempt, after all, 98% of congress is rich, rich, rich, and they don't care if a loaf of bread goes for $5, or a can of peas goes for $2.50...they will just hit the lobbyists up for higher amounts in payola is all, we don't have that luxury unfortunately!  They are so out of touch with daily living that they don't correlate the cost of gas/diesel with the price of foods and goods the averge joe purchases.

TOLL FREE NUMBER TO THE CAPITOL SWITCHBOARD---SEND OUT TO FRIENDS, RELATIVES, PRINT OUT ON PIECES OF PAPER TO PASS OUT AT GAS STATIONS TO YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS WHO ARE FILLING UP THEIR CARS AND COUNTING THEIR CHANGE TO PAY FOR IT!!

Capitol switchboard, ask for your Senators or Reps office

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?

Thanks, VeeBee.  I am going to post this at several gas stations and other places.  We've got to take care of ourselves.  Right now hounding these "out of touch" imbeciles is our only way.

San Francisco libs like Boxer/Fienstein have their mind set already on destroying America. Liberalism is a mental disorter (Savage). Guys ,I give you credit for you efforts, but I don't think it is going to do any good with people like that.Call the ones that have some sort of chance.

Senator Inhofe was on Glenn Beck tonight.  He said the bill is not going to pass.

GET CONGRESS ATTENTION! CHANGE YOUR W-4 AT WORK AND CLAIM 10 DEPENDENTS SO NO TAXES WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR PAYCHECK. WHEN THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN MAYBE THEY WILL REMEMBER THEY ARE SERVANTS TO WE THE PEOPLE.

This is good news, msbobbie.  If any senator would be knowledgeable as to the outcome of all of this,  it would be Inhofe.  Will try to watch repeat of Glenn Beck.  Thanks.
