JUAREZ, Mexico -- The death toll in the turf war across the border continues to rise as cartels execute more people in what is supposed to be the bloodiest weekend in Juarez history.

In just the last 12 hours, 12 people have been brutally executed in El Paso's sister city. Meanwhile, officials protecting the border and first responders are on high alert. The streets of Juarez were empty Saturday after e-mail and text messages warning of shootings in malls, restaurants and nightclubs. A father, son, and friend of the family were killed while at a family gathering Friday night.

The violence continued Saturday morning when another man was found dead. He had more than 100 bullet holes in his SUV. Later Saturday evening two more men were found dead in the Rio Bravo neighborhood in Juarez. Those protecting our borders tell KFOX while the violence in Juarez is tragic, it is contained. "It is not spilling over, but we realize the fact that bullets don't know boundaries. We do have communication with government. It is business as usual.

Our agents are always vigilant. Right now the level of violence does concern us across the border and it keeps everyone on their toes," said Ramiro Cordero, a spokesman for CBP Border Patrol El Paso Sector. First responders in El Paso were also on heightened alert Saturday morning. EMS was advised to report any torture related injuries. KFOX called officials from Thomson Hospital, and they said they aren't taking any special measures in anticipation of more deaths, but are ready for any type of emergency. Across the border, Juarez nightclubs were closed Friday night and officials expect the same Saturday

And our Senators and people like Bill Richardson aren't even aware because the Mainstream Media won't report it.  Then you've got pro-open borders groups like Media Matters attacking Lou Dobbs because they say he promotes "fear and loathing" against immigrants.  This group doesn't even distinguish between legal and illegal -- just all immigrants.

When Paul Waldman of Media Matters appeared on the Lou Dobbs Show for one purpose only, to criticize, he came off as unprepared and lame.  He asked Lou to present pieces highlighting the good immigrants did for our country.  He wants us all to have warm, fuzzy feelings for our illegal brethern.

Evidently Waldman doesn't understand Dobbs presents news stories, not op-ed pieces, although Lou does add his opinion when he feels strongly on a subject.  As Lou pointed out, the "L.A. Times," the "Washington Post," "Newsweek" and most of our other publications refuse to address the illegal immigration issue in this country.  We are starving for facts and Lou delivers.

The mainstream media of this country does not serve the people well and misdirects them, often by omission.  Now Media Matters comes along with another campaign for open borders.

I don't fear and loathe illegal immigrants or any immigrant.  I fear sites like Media Matters and the people who run them.  They have aligned themselves with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and La Raza and they expect to be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, what we need are these south of the border gang banging drug cartel sucking animals to do a mass killing in Texas.... Maybe then the McCains of this country will open their eyes and say, "you know what....the fence is not such a bad idea"...

Pretty harsh but I've thought the same myself and expressed it to McCain in one of my emails.
