Failure of Congress or Victory BY the American People?

Does anyone besides me get tired of listening to the ACLU, MSM, presidential candidates,Pelosi, Feinstein, LULAC and on & on harp on "the failure of Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform"?  Granted Congress does very little but, in my mind, this is one of the few times they got it right - but only after the the American demanded they get it right.  So I count it as a victory by the American people....not a failure of congress!

I have brought this to the attention of many to no avail...... I would just like to get the pro-amnesty Americans  to think! (How quaint!!!)  

I guess all I can do is "keep those cards & letters coming"

You're absolutely right NancyL..

It just turns my stomache to hear McCain talk about the lack of congress action on immigration, when he is part of the problem...and we the people stopped them!!!

Something about Nancy's post made me think of W in October 2001.  This can be our new slogan.  Include it in all of our communications to all of our Representatives and Senators about illegal immigration.

GET CONGRESS ATTENTION! CHANGE YOUR W-4 AT WORK AND CLAIM 10 DEPENDENTS SO NO TAXES WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR PAYCHECK. WHEN THE MONEY STOPS COMING IN MAYBE THEY WILL REMEMBER THEY ARE SERVANTS TO WE THE PEOPLE.

Greetings: Mr. President
I have not written you for a while because I have been very busy with conventions and fundraisers here in Oklahoma.
I am wondering if the response to Congressman Cole's Blog:
Republican Solutions and a Positive Agenda
has been brought to your attention.  There are about 3000 comments from angry Conservatives.  I think you should take a look at a few of them.  My own was posted on May 19 at 8:29 am (central daylight savings time)
This weekend while watching Memorial Day Ceremonies on television,  I was reminded of one of your own comments:
"We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail"
American people are angry that our borders are not secure, illegal immigration is out of control,  agents are at war with drug smugglers on our southern border, and the sovereignty of this once great nation is in peril, partly because of fiscal irresponsibility on Capitol Hill and in the Oval Office.
The Grand Ole Party is taking it's last gasps.  There are a few hundred thousand Patriots who still love our Constitution and Old Glory and we are growing. Pied Pipers all. In the end we may fail, but I assure you we will not tire and we will not falter in our efforts to remind congress that they are servants to WE THE PEOPLE.

Seriously, I'm glad you sent that info to President Bush - and I sure hope he'll take the time AND RESPONSIBILITY upon himself to read a lot of the comments on the provided link. 

I take exception to only two of your remarks:

1) there are a few hundreds thousand Patriots (unless you were only referring to those of us on FS, which is still pretty impressive), and

2)"In the end we may fail," 

 We won't fail - the government officials will fail if they don't listen and do the will of the people. They will fail miserably and be ousted as is necessary to clean out the scum in office(s) throughout or country to install true American patriots.  Your post keeps hope going that SOMEONE will eventually get SOMEONE in government to take heed. Who knows, it COULD BE YOUR MESSAGE TO BUSH! God Bless. Rhonda
