Hillary Keeps Campaigning Because Robert Kennedy Was Assassinated?!

Coming from Hillary, one has to wonder if this is some kind of veiled threat.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sen. Hillary Clinton referred Friday to the assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968 Democratic campaign as a reason she should continue to campaign despite increasingly long odds.

Clinton was responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board about calls for her to drop out of the race.

"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing the idea of dropping out.

Clinton said she didn't understand why, given this history, some Democrats were calling for her to quit.

Her remark about an assassination during a primary campaign drew a quick response from rival Barack Obama's campaign.

"Sen. Clinton's statement before the Argus Leader editorial board was unfortunate and has no place in this campaign," said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.

Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said the senator was only referring to her husband and Kennedy "as historical examples of the nominating process going well into the summer and any reading into it beyond that would be inaccurate."

Ima, that's pretty much the impression I gleaned from Clinton's comment too, but it might be a double assassination plot by both Democrat camps. Now, wouldn't THAT BE AN HISTORIC EVENT? Wow! Both should be wary of each others' penchant for power at any cost, ya think? Rhonda

She managed to offend not only Obama, but Ted Kennedy, too.  She must lie awake at night, thinking dark thoughts of deaths and assassinations.

This is crazy, stupid spin of her talking about how historically the Democratic nomination process has gone into June, and some of the things that have happened in June. Y'all should give it a rest.  The DNC and the party elite hate her.  She doesn't understand that.

I don't know that she hopes Obama will get assassinated but I think she does realize that it could happen. And, personally, I'd rather have her than Obama any day.

She just keeps sticking her foot in her mouth. I believe she's actually losing it.

Today wasn't the first day she's mentioned the Bobby Kennedy assassination and June and why she's staying in the race.

Truth of the matter is she's in debt to herself and still campaigning in hopes to recoup some of her money.

She's toast and thank God!

She's a habitual lier and anyone that really thinks she mispeaks is dilusional just like her. The Clintons are very calculating and are very shrewd politicians. Like robots!

She new exactly what she was saying.

Hillary: "Anything Can Happen," Why Did She Mention Bobby Kennedy's Assassination

Does she think Barack Obama might be assassinated?

This woman-HILLARY CLINTON- is incorrigible. For months she has said "anything can happen" in the race before the nomination is wrapped up. Until now many of us assumed she meant the Super Delegates will change their minds and vote for her. Never in a million years did people believe she was harboring the darkest side of anyone's psyche. I have called her delusional in these pages. I have been extremely critical of her lust for power and her absence of ethics and morality.

But, today HILLARY CLINTON upset an entire nation when she explained what she means by "anything can happen." In an interview with a South Dakota newspaper, she started out by saying she didn't know why people want her to drop out of the race. She even accused the Obama camp of being behind the effort. She mentioned that Bill Clinton's campaign in 1984 didn't wrap up until June. She didn't stop there because her psycho ego reared its head. This was not the first time she mentioned assassination, according to the media. There is no defense for her wishing that Barack Obama meets a terrible fate like Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, John F. and Robert Kennedy. Is this woman insane? Is she really waiting aroun with the hope or expectation that Barack Obama might be assassinated before the election?
All Super Delegates have a responsibility to reject this woman. Push her out before something happens. She does not appear to have the stability to lead a nation. God help us if she got in office. I can only hope that by showing her dark side the leaders of the Democratic Party will step in and shut this nominating process down by giving Obama the 56 votes he needs to close get the nomination. Her actions today provide Obama with the ammunition he needs to refuse to entertain any serious consideration of a Vice Presidential spot for her on his ticket.
Folks, the words came out of her mouth. She can't blame anyone else because she was captured on film!

Come on... give it a rest.  Hillary can't say a thing without being caught up in a fire storm.  She is not so stupid to hint at Obama's demise, especially if there was some sort of covert operation under foot.  This is just stupid thinking. 
Hillary meant what she said... why should she have to quit?  She gave historic perspective on past primaries.  What's different this time is that we are all sick to death of the process because it started so much earlier than ever before.  We've been campaigning for 2 years already.  Give the lady a break.

I am with you on that one.  She is too calculating to make such a blooper.  If anythin, she must know that comments like this actually help Obama...See the previous post depicting Obama as a saint..............I realize she is evil and powerhungry, but she is not that stupid.

On the contrary.  The Republican hate machine made her into a Democratic monster, and now the Democrats have jumped onto the bandwagon because she is not their golden child, Obama.  She is now the most hated and villified woman in America, by the right and the left.  The question is, where will her voters go now?  After all, they are all "racists".  What will happen to the Democratic party, should this massive block of voters decide to split with the party.  After all, she got half the vote.  Frankly, the Democratic party has treated her like a piece of sh*t.  If I were her, I'd quit.  I'd quit the race, I'd quit the Senate, I'd quit the Democratic party.  Her constituency would understand if she did.

I heard the comment, anyone with a brain knows her reference was to June NOT RFK!

What I don't understand is why the media is not outraged at Obama talking to the Cubans when he said ....looking out for the interest of the US but, MORE IMPORTANTLY the interest of the Cubans,......when this was reprinted in the Star-Telegram (DFW) the more importantly part was left out.....seems like the MSM is determined we are going to have an anti-American, anti-White, anti-middle-class as the president of our once great country!

 FYI - I am an Independent, so don't have a horse in this race, just an observation.

I think this says it very well.  I didn't say it, but I agree with it.

Do you people think she was ENCOURAGING somebody to shoot Obama? Do you think she HOPES someone would shoot Obama? Do you think she was urging Democrats to carry on the nomination battle because Obama MIGHT get shot in June?

This reaction is absurd and orchestrated by the Obama campaign. How otherwise did all these media outlets get this story and come up with the same line that her remarks sparked fears of Obama's assassination?

Obama is desperate to end the nomination before having to prove himself at the convention. If Hillary stays, the issue of the Florida and Michigan delegations will remain. If these delegations are seated, the minimum number of delegates needed to win will increase from 2026 to about 2200: a harder goal for Obama to reach. Second, if Hillary remains, the evidence will remain that Hillary will likely beat Mccain the electoral college, while Obama would lose. The polls will also continue to show she is more likely to lead McCain in popular votes going into the fall race, while Obama continues to lag behind. (See gallup; electoral-vote.com)

Obama does not want the delegates to consider the question why we are about to nominate the candidate who starts out behind McCain while discarding the candidate who will start out ahead of McCain. Well, why are we?

Obama fears being found out. Obama can only win the nomination by making enough noise to distract the attention of the delegates away from inconvenient questions.

You know, I think this is going to backfire, big time on the Democratic party.  There's an opening here for McCain to swoop in and take away some of those voters.  They're moderates or Independents, just what he needs.

That's right and she got caught.  Furthermore, if she didn't believe she'd said something wrong, she wouldn't have found it necessary to apologize.  Seems her diehard supporters here can't understand why she's become such a pariah in her own party.

Its say Obama were happend to be assassinated while campaigning.Would she not be back in it right after it happens?Come on.

For all who have fallen,we must move forward But, for the right reasons.*In my mind, so called "legal residency" is just as a threat as illegal immigration and it the missing topic in the immigration debate.*Every man dies,but not every man truely lives*
