GOP Loses Congressional Election, Faces Bloodbath in Nov.

On Tuesday night, Republicans lost a Republican congressional district in a special election in Mississippi.
Party insiders fear the loss may be just another sign of a coming bloodbath for congressional Republicans this November.
Democrat Travis Childers’ victory over Republican Greg Davis in Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District yesterday dealt the GOP its third straight loss of a solid Republican district to insurgent Democrats in this year’s special elections.
With nearly all precincts reporting, Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Childers held a 54 percent to 46 percent lead over Southaven Mayor Davis.
The seat was vacated by Republican Roger Wicker when he was appointed to fill the Senate seat that Republican Trent Lott vacated when he retired.
Wicker had held the seat since 1994, never winning re-election with less than 63 percent of the vote, the Washington Post reported.
The district, a Republican stronghold, had backed George Bush with 59 percent of the vote in 2000 and 62 percent in 2004.
Childers’ victory hands the Democrats their second special election victory in the South in less than two weeks. On May 3, Democratic State Rep. Donald Cazayoux Jr. defeated former Republican State Legislator Woody Jenkins in a Louisiana district that had been in GOP hands for 33 years.
Richard Baker had vacated the seat when he resigned in February.
And in March, Democrat Bill Foster defeated Republican Jim Oberweis in an Illinois district that former Republican House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert had held for nearly 21 years.
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen said in a statement: “After three consecutive special election defeats in districts that President Bush twice won easily, it is abundantly clear the American people have turned their back and shut the door on the special interest-driven agenda of the Republican Party. There is no district that is safe for Republican candidates.”
National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Cole acknowledged that the GOP faces a challenge and “must undertake bold efforts to define a forward-looking agenda that offers the kind of positive change voters are looking for.”
I believe anything you would be willing to do now at this late date would be recognized as politics as usual, i.e. lying to pander, and in any case would be too little, too late. You better start working on 2010 and beyond if you really care about the country and the republican party. All voters really want is equality under the law and enforcement of the law. That would be bold, forward-looking, and positive enough for most of us!

HEY, ALL: Considering how the "REPUBLICRAT" Party has betrayed us, has been dishonest with us, has abandoned its platform and its principles for decades, has fooled its members, has been taken over by neocons and the serpents of the Federal Reserve banking conglomerate, the wonder is why so many Republican stalwarts have stayed in that phony, and dying, party. I abandoned the Republicrats years ago, and no regrets. If there is a Republican "bloodbath" in November, that party deserves it, for it brought it upon itself. Good riddance! And if the American people are so stupid and stay willingly misinformed by the lap-dog media, and turn over the total reigns of power to the Dums, they'll deserve what happens. God help us--well, at least Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party help us--I'm certain that God has just about abandoned us.
I just got a Republican Questionaire and there were none of the issues important to me on this paper. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, GUN CONTROL, BORDER SERCUITY.
TEXAS: One of the few states that can secede from the Union.
The real question is will we have a sovereign nation in 2010?
“..the United States and the European Union have signed up to a new transatlantic economic partnership that will see regulatory standards “harmonized” and will lay the basis for a merging of the US and EU into one single market, a huge step on the path to a new globalized world order.”
“The two sides agreed to set up an “economic council” to push ahead with regulatory convergence in nearly 40 areas, including intellectual property, financial services, business takeovers and the motor industry.” Source: http://stopspp.com/stopspp/?p=122
Folks it looks like our politicians have already sold us out and the powers behind throne are not about to let us have any real choice. If we try for real freedom they have the plans in place to control us.
From around the country I have heard reports of Military/local law enforcement exercises.
“With no warning, a significant military agreement was signed by the chief Armed Forces commanders of both the U.S.A. and Canada on Feb. 14. The agreement allows the armed forces from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a domestic civil emergency. “ Source: http://stopspp.com/stopspp/?p=444
“In 1933, at the request of President Roosevelt, the U.S. Congress passed the War and Emergency Powers Act, which has never been repealed. This legislation was an amendment to the Trading with the Enemies Act , which was originally passed by Congress in 1917. .....In 1971 Congress was astonished to discover that our nation had been in a continuous state of national emergency since Roosevelt's proclamations of 1933. In 1976 Congress passed the National Emergencies Act , which terminated any existing declarations of national emergency effective September 14, 1978.11 Nevertheless, the 1976 Act did not affect the 1933
"The President has the power to seize property, organize and control the means of production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, call reserve forces amounting to 2 1/2 million men to duty, institute martial law, seize and control all menas of transportation, regulate all private enterprise, restrict travel, and in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all Americans... “
...” Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said ...that once laws are written, the public should not second-guess government actions and claim that federal officials are overstepping their authority....[He] called U.S. laws “woefully inadequate” “
In spite of what Mr Chertoff may think, there is a large group of people in this country who are labeled the Nascar crowd, who listen to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talk radio hosts, and who own guns. Most people are ambivalent about what goes on in Washington because they don't feel the affects directly. They go to work, go to church, and go to bed at night. But I believe they will rise up and resist efforts to be led like hogs to slaughter. It is like during the cold war. While the USSR was clearly a force to be reckoned with and they could have taken the US to war, they would have been unable to take or hold the American territory until they killed every last patriot and gun owner. By then, the country wouldn't be worth having, anyway and there would be nobody to produce the stuff they wanted and needed. Destroying this country will hurt the rich more than the poor.
Of course, that is what is so scary about islamo-fascists. They are irrational and suicidal. There is no viable strategy of mutual assured destruction with them.

I am not sure we will, snazy2, and I weep.
Something we have not discussed much here is the Law Of The Sea Treaty. It will do us in, and if we cannot keep 41 patriotic Senators in Washington, it will happen by this time next year.

Feed, I don't think the USA will be here in 2010. At least not with our present form of government.
BOTH political parties have lied to us, stolen everythig we have, and sold us out to the highest bidder. It will be the brave, new world by then, we are not far from that point now.
We may not be living in a third world country in 2010 but there's a good chance it will be a 2nd world country and dropping fast. I hope I'm wrong about all of this but be prepared!

If we truly loose America I just want to say while I still have a chance that it is an honor to exspress my opinion and debate most on here on trying to save her.Lets face it,it looks grave indeed,I just hope that the times will be ripe to really make a differance in my life time.
For all who have fallen,we must move forward But, for the right reasons.*In my mind, so called "legal residency" is just as a threat as illegal immigration and it the missing topic in the immigration debate.*Every man dies, but not every man truely lives*
As bad as the political scene is for the Republicans it still offers voters a chance to send a message. I am not one who would cut off my nose to spite my face but it looks bad for the GOP thus this could prove to be an advantage. This would be a good time to vote for another candidate whether they be an independent or Libertarian. I may be crazy but for the past two presidential elections we were not, in my estimation, given much of a choice. If the GOP is smart it will see how disenfranchaised the party has become and build for 2012 or it may wish to continue on its suicidal venture? Nothing proves dissatisfaction like the absence of votes.
I have received two RNC Census Questionnaire's in the last three weeks. I will not contribute to the General fund but will support local representatives who have fought illegal immigration. I have written the RNC twice and diplomatically stated my intentions of not supporting the RNC or its presidential candidate. Politely, "they did it to themselves."
There will not be a chance to change things in 2012.
Either liberals get stopped now or they take full control.

We must focus in November on keeping out any more democrats. If they win any more seats " We are Screwed." Amnesty will pass if they take even more control. They can't get enough to override things. Please focus on Congress and the Senate on both Federal and State levels . Or Illegals will win and our country and our jobs will go away.
Obama the Whinner will destroy this country , he is to immature to run this country and the president is no place to need Job Training.
at this time I don't plan on selecting a president in November , but I do intend to closely watch whom I vote for Senate and Congress on all levels, they can do more to hurt us than any president. I am hoping for neither Party to have control of either the house or the senate . I think a mix is more in Our interests.
McCain is the designated loser. And, yes, all three understand their role in the Election of 2008. But only McCain is resigned to his fate. I guess he's just happy to play. A viewer of Fox News the Big Story emailed host John Gibson on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The emailer commented that McCain's win in Florida on Tuesday, Jan. 29 was evidence that the Republicans were going to lose in November. Big Story co-host Heather Nauert, Gibson's blonde bimbo sidekick (who apparently is not on the show for her political prowess), poophahed the comments of the emailer by saying McCain would likely pull votes from the moderates and independents on election day, suggesting that added together, the conservative, moderate and independent vote would put McCain over the top.

That has been the plan all along; to discourage Republicans from going to the polls, that way the other side can run the table, winning every event at the local, state and federal level.
Undervotes will get more attention than low voter turnout. If you are dissatisfied with your ballot choices and just stay home they win.
They will win anyway if you stick a blank ballot in the voting machine, but you send a stronger message (NONE OF THE ABOVE)

Run the table is what is planned.
They will assume they can then do whatever they want.
Call a Constitutional Convention in 2009 and change it just enough.
Give amnesty to all illegals guaranteeing votes forever.
This is THE END of the United States of America.

Nancy thanks for the thread. Republicans will recieve a resounding defeat in November. Obama or Hillary will read that as a mandate to fufill their agenda, which is the same as McCains. I wouldn't expect much social change, however you can expect enormous change in the push toward globalism. The agenda will be to further the cause of Global Government.
HEY FOLKS: Please don't vote for "None of the Above" in Nov. Vote for principle: Vote for Chuck Baldwin on the Constitution Party ticket. Then concentrate on electing the most conservative candidates for the House and Senate possible, those who are dedicated to supporting and defending our constitution. We have few in Congress now that do anything except give lip service to that noble task. Let's do our best to get rid of them.

Wholesale changes now will not be undoable.
There will not be elections in 2012 or ever again if this happens now.
There ain't going to be any going back to fix it.
It will be panic and pandemonium like this world has never seen.
The bloodbath will only be just starting.
