Ohio Senate Bill 305

·        Requires employers to hire, or to retain if already employed, open homosexuals and cross-dressers. This includes schools with no exemption for religious or private schools, and I think it must apply to churches as well!

·         Requires day care facilities to hire the same (homosexuals , cross-dressers, etc.), and to admit little children who may be cross-dressing or who openly identify as "homosexual." (Seems unlikely, except that openly cross-gender children already attend grade schools in FL, CA, MA, PA and CO, according to press accounts).

·         Requires schools to admit or retain openly homosexual or cross- dressing students. This includes religious and private schools.

·        Requires any business, organization or agency that seeks to bid on Ohio contracts to have a non-discrimination clause for hiring or retaining homosexuals or cross-dressers. There is no religious exemption.

·         Requires landlords or property owners to rent or sell to open homosexuals or cross-dressers. Housing owned by private clubs or religious groups is exempt.

·        Requires the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission to prepare pro-homosexual education programs for Ohio schools and communities that "emphasizes the origin of prejudice" against homosexuals and cross-dressers and the "harmful effects" of this.

·         Requires, through contracts for maintenance and construction, state parks to be available to homosexuals and cross-dressers without "discrimination."

·         Would require churches and charitable groups to allow homosexuals and transvestites to use the facilities if that group or church has a Bingo license. It would prohibit the Boy Scouts from holding games at recreational fields owned by any charitable group or church that also has a Bingo license, since the requirements for holding a Bingo license will be that these playing fields are open to groups that do not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. The Boy Scouts have long been the unfair target of homosexual activism because they prohibit open homosexuals from serving as scoutmasters.

·         Requires nursing homes residents to possibly have roommates who are cross-dressers of the biologically opposite sex, or open homosexuals of the same sex. This seems to apply to faith-based nursing homes as well, although they may give preference in admission to members of their denomination.

·         Requires the Ohio Civil Rights Commission to study the problem of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, to issue recommendations, and to positively promote good will regarding homosexuality and cross-dressing.

·         A violation on these new provisions can result in fines of up to $25,000 for a single offense.
