Barack Obama's Bitter Half

From GOPUSA, the following on Michelle Obama. I know there will be those who say, "well, she isn't running". While that IS true, who amongst us can say that our spouse has no effect on how we think, our outlook on life, etc? I doubt if any of us can say that! Here then, what this "lady" thinks. I really don't want a Marxist President!

Are you ready for hope and change? Barack Obama better hope his bitter half has a change of attitude if she expects to assume the title of first lady in November. She's been likened to John F. Kennedy's wife, what with her chic suits and pearls and perfectly coiffed helmet hair. But when she opens her mouth, Michelle O is less Jackie O and more Wendy W -- as in Wendy Whiner, the constantly kvetching "Saturday Night Live" character from the early 1980s.

When last our worldviews collided, back in February, the other Michelle was expounding on her lack of pride in America. I gave her myriad reasons to cheer up -- from America's role in the fall of communism to our unparalleled generosity to our nation's superior economic system, cultural resilience, entrepreneurial spirit and ingenuity. But since then, Mrs. Obama has dug in her $500 Jimmy Choo heels and solidified her role in the 2008 presidential campaign as Queen of the Grievance-Mongers.

In one of her few (unintentionally) funny moments during a recent sit-down with comedian Stephen Colbert, Mrs. Obama claimed, "Barack and I tend to look at the positives." That's a side-splitter. As National Review's Yuval Levin put it, Michelle Obama is "America's unhappiest millionaire." And she has the audacity to extrapolate her misery and her husband's alleged victimization to the "vast majority of Americans."

In South Carolina, she called America "just downright mean" and bemoaned "a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day." And in case you hadn't heard enough of her carping about how hard it is for a seven-figure-earning family to pay for ballet lessons and piano lessons and pay off college loans, Mrs. Oh-Woe-Is-Me was at it again on the campaign trail in Indiana and North Carolina before Tuesday's primary.

On the stump, she warmed up (or rather, berated) supporters by complaining about how her husband is an underdog even after he keeps winning primary and caucus after primary and caucus. With a scowl etched on her face, she bellyached that "the bar is constantly changing for this man." Call the waambulance, stat.

Barack Obama, the missus explains, is Everyman who has ever been put down by The Man. And "understand this" (a condescending verbal tic shared by both Obamas): Mrs. Obama is here to make sure you feel their pain. Which is really your pain. Because the hardships of a privileged Ivy League couple are "exactly" the same as the travails of miners or service workers or small-business owners: "So the bar has been shifting and moving in this race," she grumbles, "but the irony is, the sad irony is, that's exactly what is happening to most Americans in this country."

Don't tell Miss Michelle about the Great Depression or the Carter Malaise. "Folks are struggling like never before," she seethes.

Well, yes, gas prices are up. Some food prices are rising. And borrowers who bought more housing than they could afford are underwater. But "struggling like never before"? Didn't they teach her about Hoovervilles and stagflation?

I did hear her recent remarks on the Glenn Beck show.   He suggested that his affiliation with the likes of Rev Wright is part of a pattern continued by his choice in wives.  It's this whole anti-american bitterness that is part of his psyche.  Yep, that's what we want in the white house.  I'm sure he will kiss and make up with the rev and he and calypso Louie will be frequent visitors.....oh, boy.

Good heavens...I shudder to think of her as first lady-that's as bad as having Bill Clinton as "first HO" in the whitehouse...... She did not have ANY PRIDE in her country until her husband decides to run for President? People need to  get a clue , she is self righteous, racist and self serving just like Hillary....

Good grief...I felt  love and pride for my country as soon as I was old enough to wave a flag and understand the concept of God and Country....guess I had my epiphany at the age of 5!  

Her comments are not genuine and she does seem VERY BITTER and very phony as well!

Makes a person wonder......

WHERE ARE PEOPLE OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER IN GOVERNMENT? Is Jim Jordan of Ohio the ONLY politician left standing that supports WE THE PEOPLE with both the illegal invasion AND the War on terror?

As for Michelle Malkin - Bitter about the Right Wing losing its grip? to the core. Unable to correctly analyse the political landscape? Absolutely!

If it makes anyone here feel any better, the Democratic VP will more likely be Senator Chuck Hagel, Republican from Nebraska. He's a well-respected, moderate Republican who opposes the war On Iraq and is a Nam vet. The combination of Barack Obama and Chuck Hagel will guarantee John McBush's defeat in November - avoiding the disaster of a 3rd Bush term.

How is it that here - in the 21st century - we still have people who can't get over the notion of not having an old, rich white guy in the White House. Hell, I don't get it!

I am writing in George W. Bush for another term although he can't. I think we need Martial Law to get rid of Obammy Jammy Boy and you can go with him as we send him back to his homeland where Islam is rule. What do you think of me now Arby. Would you have voted for Alan Keyes then?  If it's  important to have a black guy in the WH, why not him?  Or does he have to be a Socialist?

BTW, do you know the saying "behind every great man is a greater woman"?  Do you really believe that Michelle has no influence over Barack?  She may not make the decision, but he would at least talk to her about it.  I believe they all do, Arby.  Don't even think it.

I am a very happy person for the most part Elaina. I joke around alot too. If you only knew me. I'd have you crying in laughter.....:)

I would have voted for Alan Keyes in a heartbeat had he had the backing. I am going with my gut. As far as Arby....He can go take the trash out with him and don't let the door hit him in the arse. Any 45 year old wife of a Presidential contender who would make a statement like "it's the first time in my adult life I've been proud of my country" in regard to her husband's campaign success, is nothing more than an ingrate.  We feed 1/2 the world, we share our technology and medical expertise with just about anyone who asks, we fund around 30% of her husband's favorite charity, the United Nations, etc.  She was "educated" at Princeton, and hubby at Harvard!  My family and my wife's family have for generations been educated at state supported universities!  In all honesty, I don't think I've ever personally known anyone who went to Princeton or Harvard.  This windbag has lots to be proud of this country for!
