The latest "computer models" from global warming scientists
show that global warming will be in retreat at least until 2015.

Combined with the fact that there has been no global warming
since the peak year of 1998, even Climate Alarmist scientists
are being forced to recognize that we could be looking at
nearly a two-decade hiatus from global warming.

For the record, here's the history of global warming back
to 1940 and projected through 2015:

          1940-1974 (34 years) -- global cooling
          1975-1998 (23 years) -- global warming
          1999-2015 (17 years) -- temperatures level then cool

The Truth About The Global Warming Scam
First of all, my knowledge of Earth's 'wobble' was learned while working as a  Field Engineer with IBM’s Federal Systems Division, providing both operation and field maintenance support for the radar bombing and navigation computer system installed on B-52 aircraft (1958 - 1963).  The field services were provided to Strategic Air Command Bases, firrst at Walker AFB, Roswell, NM,  then Columbus AFB, MS. The learning was impressed while at Columbus Air Force Base with the 4228th Strategic Wing.  Out of fifteen assigned B-52’s, we were launching three aircraft each day on 24-hour missions, flying the Operational Airborne Alert to and from the Arctic Circle, loaded with Hydrogen bombs, ready to wipe the Soviet Union socialists off the face of the Earth.
 
    B-52s (F-Models) at Columbus AFB were equipped with the MD-1 Automatic Astrocompass System,  to provide required aircraft heading by locking on to the light intensity of stars pre-selected  by the Navigators for their  crew's flight missions.  This MD-1 System was an analog computer; a  combination electro-mechanical and electronic computer  designed to solve the 'Celestial Navigation Problem'. (The MD-1 was designed and manufactured by the Kollsman Instrument Co. located at Hershey, PA at the time.)
    
    Now, about Earth's 'wobble', as follows:

Our planet Earth has two physical motions that drive our calendar to account for years, months, and days, and the seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter:

1.    Duration of one counter-clockwise spin of Earth on its axis gives us one day with a Sunrise in the East and a Sunset in the West.

2.    Its spin axis tilted at 23.5 degrees away from the Sun, duration of one elliptical orbit of Earth around the Sun occurs over an elapsed period of time called a 'year', causing changes of weather during each of the four seasons of any given year.

Ques: Why, in its elliptical orbit around the Sun, when Earth is 3 million miles closer to the Sun, is it colder (Winter) in the Northern Hemispere, while it is warmer (Summer) in the Southern Hemisphere?

Ans: Due to Earth’s spin axis constant tilt at 23.5 degrees away from the Sun, the angle of incidence of parallel radiation of light and heat from the Sun is less direct in  the Northern Hemispere, causing the frigid conditions in the Northern Hemispere; at the same time, that radiation is more direct in the Southern Hemisphere, causing the heat of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Continuous orbit of Earth around the sun causes reverse of those conditions in both hemispheres.
 
A third motion of Earth gets little or no attention for its effects on global warming and global cooling (recurrent ice ages).  Spinning like a top, tilted at a constant 23.5 degrees away from its elliptical orbit around the sun, the Earth has a wobble – that wobble is like decay of the spin axis of the spinning top.  One Earth wobble is measured to require roughly 26,000 years (25,800 years) to complete its duration.

Inclination of Earth’s spin axis to its orbital plane varies over 40,000 years by about 1 degree.

As Earth revolves about the sun and spins on its axis, an imaginary line runs through both the north and south poles of earth pointing to Polaris, the North Star. Earth's wobble causes the spin axis to trace a small circle in the sky. (Earth's lines of latitude and longtitude are projected on the sky, providing a 'celestial sphere' for locating all stars, planets and galaxies.) In 1500 AD, Earth's spin axis was pointing through the North Pole marking the North Celestial Pole at 3.5 degrees from Polaris. In 2100 AD (our next century), Earth's spin axis will be pointing to the North Celestial Pole at only .5 degrees from Polaris, the closest that the spin axis of earth will ever point to Polaris. About the year 14000 AD, the spin axis of earth will be pointing within 5 degrees of Vega, and Vega, not Polaris, will be the North Star at that time.

In the jargon of celestial navigation and astronomy, Earth's wobble, as just described, is called "precession of the equinoxes" - I call it the 'wobble'. In effect, Earth's wobble causes the climate in Florida to migrate to Michigan and back again over a period of roughly 26,000 years. Changes in weather patterns effecting climate conditions are a consequence of this very slowly moving migration. Responsible scientists know this information and readily admit we are in a warming trend. Recent reports tell of evidence of vegetation found in Greenland. Earth's wobble - like decay of the spin axis of the spinning top - not CO2 (carbon dioxide), is the cause of the recurrence of ice ages, and is currently at the root of causes during this current cycle of global warming – to be followed by another cycle of global cooling.

Thanks, that is a more thoughtful explanation than all U.S. Citizens should give up their quality of life and become poor through choking and binding regulations administrated by a world body.   I have never believed " Climate Change" was any more than another tool like NAFTA, GATT, KYOTO, FOREIGN AID to bring the economic dependency of free U.S. citizens to mirror that of nations with oppressive leadership in government.     Bring down the middle class to complete dependency on government and merge all of us into global government.    Some people like McCain, Barak Hussein Obama and Hillary who have not thought it through completely actually think that is a good idea.

Next question - - do you have an idea why the gas prices are up. We have massive oil fields here in this country that are not being tapped – partly due to the elitist environmentalists - - - that would last us an estimated 300 years. God is going to create a “New Earth” long before that.

But think about this. If gas prices keep where they are or even higher then “we” will have to make some changes. We are the only country on the globe where you actually see utility vehicles and pick-up trucks and the larger more comfortable cars that are good for travel. Since we have not been successful in getting markedly better gas mileage in these – the higher gas prices are encouraging many to choose the mini-sub-compact (like in Europe). That means that we cannot get as much in our vehicles - - we can haul less, and they are less comfortable. That means that travel would be less desirable over any distance and we would have less of an opportunity to travel across country without roads. Guess what that means to the government - - more control and ability to keep tabs on us! It makes sense – doesn’t it? Darn those global elitists anyway - - them and the friggin liberals. Yuk and ugh!

We must use our brains and not just accept what the liberals and the colleges tell us to think.

bpalik - I copied your post and sent it to the same pair of offspring.  My daughter-in-law is in college studying for her Dr.'s degree and I'm afraid that every so often she absorbs some of the brainwashing from some of those professors.  Thus it is that I launch a campaign of sending accurate data  to try to get the cogs working again.  Thank you for your post!

One of my classmates did his senior project on just that... Cowpoo fueled boilers.  Mine was very similar, but I looked at other sources of refuse.  Try finding thermodynamic data on cow patties!

I would imagine that would have to be scientifically tested - currently.  Don't think they were concerned with that type of data when they were actually using them.  Remember not to collect them too soon for testing,  the older ones are easier to handle as long as you get them before the flies do.

I loved your earlier post to your offspring.  My words exactly.  And yes, PP and FF, I do have some idea as to the use cow poopoo.  In July  in SD they will use it for Bingo i have been informed.  One will place the likeness of certain Politicians in the afore mentioned excrements.  The possibilities are endless.  I know that all of these wonderful past and present ideas are not welcome to those who buy into global warming.  For one, cows give off too much methane gas, and to think that one could burn the patties to keep warm just doubles the trouble.  And when people eat cows, well, the cows have to be cooked to a crisp these days, ergo more global warming.  Not to mention flatulence after indulging in these delights.  You see, we are far better off letting the Chinese finish the job, all in the name of compassion, for they are such a poor people, while we stick our heads in the sand, hoping to suffocate, and therefore not leave any more CO2 than we absolutely have to.  Unless we consider decomposition..............what to do, what to do, they sky is falling........................................................

Where I grew up they were referred to as 'prairie muffins'.

We played prairie muffin frisbee, prairie muffin shuffleboard, used them as bases for prairie muffin baseball......................etc........I was so deprived as a child..................
