(updated 06/17/08)

got a new movie called "Time Changer", a Rich Christino film. I do want to cry when watching it.

For those of you who are willing to read what I write below, and more importantly, care about the long gone traditional and godly American culture compare to what America had decayed itself to, I gathered a few points.

Like the character Dr. Norris Anderson said in the movie, "Satan is not against good moral, he is oppose to Jesus Christ. A man can have good moral in his entire life, yet you and I know he will go to hell when he dies". I am sure many people now a day hated this point and said Christianity is intolerance and narrow-minded.

We can't disconnect the teaching of the law with the Lord of teaching. If we teach moral alone and use it to replace Jesus Christ, downfall will come.

Like when Russell Carlisle catch the kid who stolen the hot dog, he asked "you do understand that stealing is a sin." Guess what the kid said? "says who?" I bet you guys are familiar with these two words from kids. This is the direct result of took the Lord of His teaching.

Then in the restaurant, when the two teen girls planning to get alcohol, and Russell confronted them, the girl said"I am sick and tired of people telling me what I can or cannot do. It is not like we are hurting anyone. So why don't you just chill out?" Sounds familiar? It is a classic atheistic/humanistic and post-modern culture, you know, people keep yelling out "don't tell me what to do", like many kids now a day response to their parents, no authority, no respect, no fear of the Lord.

Then it is the blasphemy in movie, Russell rush out panicking, but the two guys said "it is not that big of a deal. it is just a movie". Like that Christian lady said, We see blasphemy all the time that it is becoming acceptable, even fun to hear it. I am one of them unfortunately.

Then when he speak in the science class and refer to the bible as usual, you can see the students and teacher not comfortable to relate science to God, and that teacher say right out to him that no religion in class.

Like the lady said, when we just teach moral, we tend to rely to our own goodness to archive salvation, because we don't connect moral with the absolute authority, and the result is moral relativism. You don't mention Jesus, you don't have an authority morality based on.

The last statement from the lady ought to let us thinking "If people don't hold reference for the Lord, what can we expect?"

How can I not cry when I see the culture and moral decay now a day?

What we often fail to see is, sin is way more powerful and decetful than we think. When we don't remind ourselves and others about teaching AND the Lord Himself, the next thing we see will be sin growing strong and waiting to destroy us.
