fax your legislator:

This bill can come up for a vote at any time.  Demand that our conservative legislators do whatever it takes -- a filibuster if necessary -- to stop this bill dead in its tracks.

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.

According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.

Time is of the essence because Senator Joe Biden, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee just issued a report on the Global Poverty Act and it was placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar on Thursday the 24th.

That means that time is of the essence as this potentially massive surrender of your hard-earned tax dollars to the third world may be close to a vote.

That's why we must act now... BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Conservatives Stall Obama Global Poverty Bill

Two conservative members of the U.S. Senate have anonymously placed a hold on Sen. Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) global poverty bill, Cybercast News Service has learned. The effort is an attempt to slow down the progress of a bill (S. 2433) that conservative analysts say could eventually force the U.S. to increase its foreign aid by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joe Biden (D-Del.) placed it on a fast-track in recent weeks as Obama's presidential campaign started heating up.

The U.S. currently contributes about $15 billion a year, which is around 0.3 percent of the total federal budget. To reach the U.N.'s benchmark, some U.N. economists have called on the U.S. to increase its contributions by $65 billion a year. Kincaid estimates the so-called "Monterey Consensus" could wind-up costing U.S. taxpayers a whopping $845 billion or more by 2015, if the U.S. is forced to up its aid to meet the 0.07 standard.

The only way to get the kind of money, he theorizes, is through some kind of global tax - something that the U.N. has been trying to impose on nations for years.

Kincaid isn't surprised at the lack of scrutiny. After all, the cause is apparently noble. "Who can oppose ending poverty?" he asked.

"They probably have never read the U.N. Millennium Declaration," Kincaid said. "They probably didn't read the Monterey Consensus. They didn't understand the references in the bill to timetables and goals. But they are there."

I have said time and time again if obama gets elected, he will be worse than georgie porgie is in giving everything to mexico, obama will be giving our country away not only to mexico, but all of africa too, you can expect that visas to immigrate here from africa will go up about a 1000 percent if he gets elected!!  And money that should be spent to help poor people here will be sent overseas....

Unfortunatley, if Obama gets the nomination, he WILL get elected, there is no doubt, unless the mccain team plays really dirty politics, which they will have to do, because everyone SAYS that bill and hillary play dirty politics, yet, they are not winning, so, heads up everyone!!!

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?
