A Christian Manifesto

I am not "officially" back yet, but I have to post this.

I just watched a video called "A Christian Manifesto" from Dr. Francis Schaeffer. This video is from 1982, but it still applies today, even more severe now. This video is a must watch for anyone who still cares what direction is the society is going to.

It is sad that in the pass 40 years, true Christians believe in Christ the Lord, but have done nothing to counter the humanism and the "liberal theology" (which, like he said, it is no theology, but just humanism with theological terms to confuse christians). And the result is true Christian belief being shut out of the society, the consquences are destroy us and the next generation when many people now a day are still sleeping, think it doesn't matter. Until it becomes like the former Soviet Union and other closed nations that parents are not allowed to teach Jesus Christ to their children, not even in their own home, or they will be send to Siberia camps.

The humanism now is eating up the society already. Educators don't really care if the kids are dropping out of school, or illterate even after high school, as long as there is only certain material be allowed to teach. For the doctors, the question now is not "how do I save lives", it is "should I save lives" if that person becomes a possible financial and social burden. I am shock that some people actually are teaching elderly how to commit suicide to "save money" for the society. Well, as the core of the human value, that the concept of "man is the image of God" is gone in school, there will no true value of human life, so women can kill the unborns if she feel like to do so.

What do you still expect after the core of human value is gone? What man has left, what human life is worth, if he is not the image of God anymore?

Until true Christians have the biblical view, and really understand what does it mean by "should we obey God or man" and do civil disobedence if needed, and are still silence about the alarming situation. we won't be able to bring out revival. After all, "Christ must be the final law, and not Caesar, and not society."

KmCheng, I would hope that you would not officially stay away. You have brought about much thought and discussion through what you have posted. You must remember that the road is wide that leads to death and many will go its way. By sharing His gospel as you do, it just may bring about someone receiving Christ as their Savior, even if you never even know so until we're together with Him. Don't know if you saw this youtube before? I think the Chinese language is exquisite and this song exemplifies just how wonderful Chinese truly is, and how it plays an extremely important role in His Gospel.

KMC...I hope you're not staying away because of our little fracas the other night...gosh, that would be a total shame...you bring interesting thoughts & keen insights to the table.
