The time has come to institute the FairTax!!!

What is the FairTax plan?

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment.

This nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 1025) abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. The IRS is disbanded and defunded.

The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system.

Call your representatives today and ask them to support the FairTax!

What I mean is that I not only pay taxes all year long, but come Apr 15 timeframe, I have to send them even more!!! 

Well, I'm tired of financing illegals, criminals, China, crooked politicians, and rich oil countries.. 

This country needs a drastic change and the FairTax is a great start..... 

Yep!  Time for everyone to pay.  Just sent in a check not for what some would consider much but we pay every year too.  Every one of my retirement checks are taxed by the Feds and State.  Of course there are those who say the FAIR TAX would hurt the poor, the churches and the destitute.  My solution would be for those people to get off their lazy cans and not expect everyone to subsidize their every need.  In fact I sent an email to my reps this past week suggesting we deep six the IRS and incorporate the FAIR TAX.

No matter what kind of tax it is, until we hammer some common sense into our elected officials, it will be more of the same old..............  

The fair tax is a farce. 30% is 30% no matter what you call it!!! The only real solution is to let good hearted Americans like you folks know and understand the reality behind our income tax.

1ST "liability" MUST be established before ANY action on the part of anyone is required!

3RD EVERYTHING on the IRS's website is nothing less than Fraud, Coercion, and Treason!!!!! (See #2 above)

Which is why ALL PEOPLE need to take responsibility for their retirement and live on only 75 percent of their wages while socking the rest away in a reputable 401K program.....

I was under the impression the FAIR TAX was a good thing.....so exactly WHY do you dislike this idea Taxman Mike and are you a CPA?

O.K. Here is the problem with the fair tax over the so called income tax. Right now you pay an average of 30% income tax, Social Security tax, Medicare, and State tax. With the fair tax you would still pay about 30% tax on just about everything you buy from food and clothes, to houses and cars! Either way you PAY!!!! How is that fair???? And how is that different???

The simple solution is to STOP paying that which the LAW does NOT require you to pay!!!!!

Abolish the Federal Reserve, the IRS, the United States the FDA, and all of the other alphabet roge agencies of the Federal Government. Return the "Republic" for which it stands back to America, and restore the Constitution and a LEGAL money system to America!!!!

But Mike...if an American does not PAY their taxes in spite of the fact that there is actually no law stating we must do so- WE GO TO JAIL! 

I can't see getting yourself into trouble with the government....until we have an "alternate" system in place. I understand your frustration Mike....I really do. The FAIR TAX supposedly would replace the IRS....taxes would be built into products (is that right Rayj00?)...it is supposed to be approximately 23 percent.

Our founding fathers looked upon our new nation and it's young republic as an "experiement" in Democracy.....I don't think they counted on such a system as we now have in place- the IRS. How does a sovereign nation survive without ANY taxation? Would we simply be supported by a "strong consumer economy"?  I'll be the first to admit, I am not well versed in this area....I'm a science junkie, not a financial whiz.....

I pay taxes because I feel it is my civic duty.....call me a wishy-washy American- or a Pollyanna- but I am bound to my country by love and loyalty......sometimes that can be painful.

I have listened to Neal Boortz talk endlessly about the FAIR TAX and it sounds like a great idea when HE explains it......like I said,  I STINK at this stuff- but at the same time am concerned like everyone else.

O.K. 1St Let me address the tax issue then I will give you the lowdown on our founding fathers and the "Democracy" you have been led to believe they set up.

First of all not one penny of the income tax money the government collects goes to the services you expect they do. I cite the grace commission.
