East Texas Teenager Attacked Over History Project

Melanie Bowers, 13, and her parents walked into Athens High School Monday afternoon to talk to campus police.  They were hoping to get some answers.

"It never should have happened in the first place.  The whole assignment was a silly assignment and they should have contacted us immediately after it happened," said J.R. Bowers, Melanie's father.

It was an assignment for history class--to make a protest sign for or against an issue, and Melanie said she chose illegal immigration.  Her sign read, "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration." Somehow, Melanie said the sign got passed around lunch and angered a group of Latino students.

"I didn't know any of these people," she said.  One young, she claimed, jumped on her back and he put her in a choke hold.  "We have brick walls in the middle school and he slammed my face on the bricks."

Melanie said a group of boys also threatened to rape and kill her.  Eventually, the boys let her go and when she went for help, she was ordered back to class, and told she could not call her parents, she said.

"They handled this wrong, you know, they put a child back in danger," said J.R. Bowers.  "It was a very racially motivated crime."

Athens ISD gave KLTV 7 a statement, confirming there was a disturbance in the hallway, Friday between two to three students.  "We have a camera system in the building," said Louis DeRosa.  "We are collecting other information and statements from witnesses and this is all the information we have at this time," he said.

Melanie and her parents said they just hope the right thing is done...and quickly.

"I won't be happy until the kids that did this are out of school," Bowers said.

I won't be happy until all these kids are out of the country along with their illegal parents.  This just goes to show you the mentality of these third world people.  I'll bet you not a thing is done as far as removing them from the school.  All I can say is this girl's parents seem to be a lot calmer than I would be.  I would have gone after them myself if that were my daughter.

This is horrible. I would have gone to the media immediately, taken my child out of the school immediately and filed a police report.  Sending this child back into the classroom was cruel and dangerous.

Let me see if I've got this straight: We have freedom of speech unless it involves Illegal Immigration? We have to pick and choose which laws we uphold now? People, unless this is made an example by law-abiding Americans, we have already lost our right to speech.

I sent this to Lou Dobbs!  Someone should get this out for everyone to know about... I'm sick of these illegal aliens getting away with all that they do.  Send them all home!

"It was a very racially motivated crime."

Pending the rest of the fact finding, I would like to hear what the federal government and the ACLU has to say about this one.

As for the "if it were my child" scenario...

1.  The police to arrest those punks for assault and battery. Illegal?  Deport.

2.  The media.  No explanation necessary.

3.  Lawyer.  Lawsuit - school and/or school district for failure to report the  crime and violation of first amendment rights.

I think I'd be for suing the school if this isn't handled promptly and appropriately.  Those kids that attacked should be expelled.

I'm sure that the Amigo Civil Liberties Union will say that the girl provoked her attackers and, therefore, they were only defending their right to be here.  Doesn't that sound about like all the other garbage they spout?  I hope this gets the coverage that the Absolut ad got.  The school, the teacher, the attackers, their parents and anyone else that had anything to do with this being allowed to happen should be sued and I hope there's a good lawyer out there just waiting for a case like this.

This stupid superitendent says there were not 21 students involved but only a few.  Then he goes on to say that you couldn't really see because there was a blind spot.  So the truth is that he doesn't know how many were involved.  It is as clear as water that the school is trying to smooth  this over for the attackers.  I'm glad that the parents have called in the FBI.  I'm not sure what it is about this case that allows them to become involved but I hope that it leads to deportation for a lot of people.  Wishful thinking huh.

I think it would be called a civil rights violation, but I am not sure that term applies to white people.

Thank you JD.  I sent this to Sean Hannity and the Outraged Patriot.  We all need to send the link to our representatives in Washington too.

I think they don't want something like what happened in that little Louisiana town, (was it Jena?) with the black students last year.  Remember when JJ et el bussed thousands of people into that town to get JUSTICE for a black kid that lost his cool?

I do remember that. This was a hate crime and I will stand by anybody who wants to protest what they did to that poor girl.  This is unacceptable in America and it high time these invaders understood that we will not tolerate such.  They have been given far too much leeway by our government, political talking heads, the ACLU et al.

If that is the case they must think that us stupid white Americans won't get up in arms.  Right?  Well they just may have another think coming because us stupid white Americans have had a belly full, as Lou says.  You know you can only back an animal in a corner and poke a stick at it so long before it comes out fighting.  And when it does it is so enraged that it can't be stopped.  I for one am getting tired of this corner and being poked.  How about you?

I sure hope the girl and her parents get this resolved quickly with appropriate justice!

Friends of ALIPAC:

This story is emerging from Athens Texas where 13 year old Melanie Bowers was choked and had her face slammed into a brick wall for bringing in a class assignment that read "If you love your nation, stop illegal immigration"

She was surrounded by a mob of Latino students that either were illegal aliens, in illegal alien families, or supportive of illegal immigration and attacked.

The attackers also threatened to drag her into the bathroom, rape her, and stab her to death.

If you are relying on the Associated Press out of Dallas, TX to feed this news to you across the nation, they describe the incident as a "scuffle" where "Verbal insults" were used.

ALIPAC will be demanding that the school suspends all students involved in this attack, that local police file charges against all involved in the attack, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement determine the legal status of the assailants and their parental guardians in order to enforce immigration laws applicable to any involved.

This is the United States of America. This is not Mexico. In our nation, we do not use terror tactics to suppress free speech and violate the civil rights of American citizens by attacking children as a mob!

You can help us by taking action.

Please use the FORWARD feature at the bottom of this email to distribute this news.

Please review the news articles, including the biased Associated Press article.

Please watch the news coverage, vote five stars, make a comment (No foul language or violent posts allowed) and ad this video to your favorites to help ALIPAC spread the word and demand justice!
