It occured to me that I have not heard of any position by McCain concerning Ramos and Campean. If I am wrong, I will stand corrected. But it seems to me that supporting McCain will serve to keep both of those political prisoners incarcerated. I cannot imagine supporting McCain and have heard that Bob Barr is running on the Libertarian Party ticket. I will not vote for the lesser of evils, nor will I support anyone who does not pledge to release Ramos and Campean. For me, it is that simple. I am going to look at Bob Barr. I hope that we can stand behind a candidate that will send a powerful message to those who would and are usurping our country and our national values.
The Bush's and the Clinton's, plus the powerful and wealthy that have had control of this country for the last 30 years, are desparate to elect either McCain or Clinton as the next president. If they fail to do so and an honest man is elected the dirty deeds of these prior administrations and their cronies, could be uncovered and exposed. Bush would not have endorsed McCain if he didn't know that McCain would keep these men behind bars. I believe the reason they are still there, is because there is somethng they know that might open up a can of worms.
I think that a conservative third party candidate can get a lot of support this year.
I believe that John McCain and the Democrat candidate and Ralph Nader will split the liberal vote, giving a conservative an excellent chance to win.
A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have. *************************************************************************************** Free Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean!
I just cannot stomach McCain. He needs to change his stance on immigration and campaign finance. I will not vote for anyone I believe will not release Campean and McCain from the nightmare that they and their families endure. As far as I am concerned, I am sad that my country has come to this. I do not feel like I am living in the same country that I grew up in. There is something so wrong and so far out of the norm of what this country should stand for tat I am just sick. Yes, we have these areas of American life that have long been turned upside down. But when it comes from the president I voted for twice it is too much to bear. If McCain does not publicly advocate the pardons of both of these men then we must deny McCain the presidency. Let's make this an issue in this campaign.
McCain had ample time in the debates when Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo specifically referrd to the travesty that is Ramos and Compean as political prisoners in the U.S. and he showed his truye colors by staying tight-lipped about it.
What we will be getting with McCain is a shorter George W Bush with a hot temper, a potty mouth when people don't accept his ridiculous reasons for his support of liberal policies, and a "fast-track" globalist agenda at the expense of the U.S. sovereignty. America's best days just may all be behind us.
It is a no-brainer to me that Ramos and Compean will need congressional support to force the president to sign off on the release. McCain will see to it that Bush and the Mexican Government's policies of open borders continue uninterrupted and Border Agents who dare interfere will be punished severely.
Hi! I am very hopeful and I do believe that Ramos and Compean convictions will eventually be overturned, and that they will be freed before the next Person takes the Presidency in January of 2009.
If McCain had any real intention of overturning the Ramos and Compean convictions, he would already have said so. If we force him to come out with a statement we couldn't trust what he said anyway.
He just refuses to talk about anything that he knows will put him on the wrong side of the Conservatives. It is safer than lying.
Joh McCain will not pardon our dear border agents, but will continue to make an example of them, mocking our justice system, and making it into the laughing stock around the world. "Look here, only in America can you lock up the innocent to let the illegals run free" I have friends around the world, and believe me, we are not the only ones waiting for a decision.
And while we are on McCain I would like to share what I found out about his finances last night:
His 'Reform Institude' received funding by both George Soros and Teresa Heinz in 2001. I found out about this during the Alan Keyes Conference call last night, and it came up not to besmirch McCain, but because someone asked a question about Soros and his funding of all kind (most) of liberal causes.

Why are we not surprised at this?

Can you please provide us with a link to document your post above? I'd like to send out an e-mail to everyone in my address book with this little tidbit of information. I did a brief search, but could find nothing about the Soros funding. IMPORTANT......thank you!

Seems a few people are concerned about his support of ACLU among other things. Do your homework.
OTOH, it is highly unlikely that any third party conservative other than the Libertarian party has a shot due to simple math. The requirement to get on the ballots in most states is too onerous and even the Libertarian Party hasn't and probably won't get on the Oklahoma ballot. If you are only on the ballot in a fraction of states, you cannot win the electoral college. Because of the electoral college, it simply isn't practical or in some cases possible to be a write-in candidate. We don't vote for president, we vote for electors.

I apologize for not providing the link to this, as there are many. One of them it to be found on worldnetdaily.com. I am computer illiterate, so I don't even attempt to post all the articles. Just google the words:reform institude, kerry, soros, and it will bring you to several sites.

I hope too that this will happen, but our country is so upside down right now that I have little faith left in the integrity of our federal justice center. It seems that politics now trumps law.
Yesterday I received a "Give Me" letter from McCain. Let me share with you the garbage he included in his request for money. "Today I am as sure as I was when I first entered public life as a foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution that the principles of the Republican party are always in the best interest of the American people." Pure unadulterated garbage. The Republican party no longer gives a damn about the American people and their best interest. And the Democrats don't either. Check out the thread for Frank McEnulty. Its called Why I am running for President. He has answered alot of questions and they are the same questions I had. I like what he has to say. Just check him out.

Here is an excellent story about McCain and his finances. I posted it a couple of months ago, but things get buried so fast here:

When the immigration questioner got up and asked about the right-wing cause of pardoning Ramos and Compean (I’ve written about the case here), McCain very gingerly took the typical politician’s “we need more information” dodge: “There is an investigation that should be completed very soon about those border guards. We have asked — all of us in Congress — have asked for them to proceed with a full investigation. And frankly we are not sure that it would be soon. I’ll get back to you, if you’d like.” A year ago, wouldn’t McCain have basically told this guy to go to hell?
