Just to keep things in perspective, post any lies, gaffes, misspeaks, etc, that Sen Obama has made.

Then discussions on what your opinion is on any or all postings.

Below are Conditions to Post that are ENCOURAGED. Please have some respect and integrity when posting here.

1. All posts wll be considered OPINION, not fact, unless a reference is made. Whether the reference source is credible is up to the reader, not any other poster, EX: "FOX News is biased" or "NYT is a rag" is not an acceptable argument.

2. The Topic is Obama. Trying to divert the Topic with things like "Well Clinton/McCain lied about..." are unacceptable arguments. Start your own thread on THOSE Topics.

3. If the post offends you, either defend the allegation rationally, or don't bother defending at all. Personal attacks are not considered rational.

4. There are no other Conditions, other than the Forum rules and terms.

No. You were born four years before the Selma march.

 

No wonder it was so easy for him to dismiss his 20 years in the pews, he has no conception of time. He lost 4 years right off the bat.

Ok, I fixed it Robo. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I get off topic too, but not to harm another. I can't belive how fast things get messed up. Oh well. I am back home and we can work this out Robo...:) I hope all of your's 4th of July was good and that you honored at least some men and women in the Service.  Not too mention Our Fallen Hero's. I am talking to everyone on this thread as well as other threads.

I particularly loved Comrade Obama's word & thought parsing regarding his hand writing appearing on the liberal 'attitudes survey' he signed when he began his run for the Illinois legislature...When this survey was made public over the weekend the Comrade Senator disavowed any knowledge of its contents and said that some staffer, who misrepresented his views, must have filled it out and handed it to him to sign.

Plausible enough...not smart, but plausible.

Then his handwritten, nuanced answers regarding parental notification regarding abortions for under-age girls were made public...his answer to this challenge to his credibilty was 'just because my handwriting is on the page doesn't mean I read or agreed with the survey.'

Excuse me...?

 The basic answer to the survey question: should there be a requirement to notify or obtain parental permission for a minor child to receive an abortion? His simple answer had been 'No.'  Then he or someone decided that such a simplistic answer needed amplification...At that point, then-candidate Obama added some nuances -- something about if the girl is very, very young, maybe...

In his own handwriting...but just because he wrote on it and nuanced the answer, doesn't  mean he believes he actually read or personally responded to the survey.

Amazing.

Obama is telling everyone that McCain wants to continue the war in Iraq for 100 years.

McCain says he wants the troops to stay in Iraq if there is no harm to them.

I gotta say, this one is most surprising. I think it started out by Obama's advisors not expecting that there would be an actual copy of the questionaire obtained. Then when they found out there was a hard copy, they didn't know that Obama had actually defined his answers with notes. By the time it all came out, there was already three levels of lies attached to the questionaire.

I really thought Obama was smarter than that.

...and for the same reasons that we still have troops in Western Europe, FireWing: to keep a presence in case force is needed, to deter less-than-friendly neighbors from 'miscalculation' or 'misadventure,' and to keep the local honest. McCain is dead-on right in saying we'll need to keep troops in that region...if it takes 100 years of our efforts to help those people grow and mature into a modern, civilized society then it's worth the effort to keep them there...and I'll go myself, anytime my skills are needed...as would any red-blooded, honest American.

This is a talking point that ALL democrats are using, so it's not just Obama.

I believe that MOST people that are still trying to make up their minds will see what McCain really meant and will know it's just partisan rhetoric.

Brother RoboTech -- the Comrade Senator may be personally intelligent but he's a political novice -- at least in the big leagues of politics. I have a sense that he's more shrewed than intellectual...and probably not as disciplined or pragmatic as President Bush...this guy is a disaster looking for a place to happen...

It's just starting. If this thread becomes popular, there will be MANY examples and issues posted before it's over.

In tha same link as I posted above, it is mentioned that Obama has said he was a Profeesor of Constitutional law, but was really only an instrutor.

I know for a fact that Obama has made that statement as I heard him say that on two occasions, personally.

Does he really think an Instructor is on the same level as a Professor? 

Or did he embellish it?

Either way, it's not a good thing.

ps -- I think he believes most people don't know the difference between professor and instructor, so he thought he could impress without being challenged.

Yes, jC, I always thought that having a base in Iraq would be one of the more important results of our activities there. I love reading your posts, btw....you are definitely one of the sharper tacks in the FS drawer.

Still can't understand WHY this and the Selma issue was even said. Maybe his mother told him that this what happened and he just never bothered to actually think about it.

or, maybe it's another attempt to get his name in the same sentence as JFK's, which there is other evidence that this could be the reason. Obama definitely likes to invoke JFK's name.

The problem with O'Bama and Hillary is that they have been blinded by their own arrogance, pride and ignorrance. What I dislike the most is that tye are trying to insult the American people's inteligence.

He really thought he could get away with saying that he actually did not hear his pastor spew his hatred. He really thinks we are that stupid. Simple, he lied!! O'Bama is a liar!!!

Hillary lied about the Bosnia trip for so long, she actually convinced herself it was true.  Simple, she lied!!! Hillary is a liar!!!

The other thing that concerns me is that, even the conservative media, have a problem calling them liars and void of any moral character. These people have no integrity and should be impeached before any of them take office, if they make it that far.

Thanks, FireWing, I appreciate the compliment...I promise: no more amateurish poetry attempts! Your posts generally either have me LMAO or they send me into a research frenzy...I'm pretty sure I'm not nearly as suspicious of our government as you and some of the other regulars but your posts are always evocative and stimulating...and I know for sure the bedrock members of FS always have something to teach me.
