I cannot believe James Carville is saying Hillary is the same as Jesus.  This remark was made because Gov. Richardson is endorsing Sen. Obama and the Clintons think this presidency should be theirs, without question, without fight.

Well I do not think Sen. Clinton is like Jesus!!  My Jesus would never, ever be as underhanded, sneaky, and nasty like Sen. and former Pres Clinton are.

Why can't they (Bill & Hill) see their presidency is over and has been for several years now.  It is time to pull up the curtain, take a final bow and retreat to the homestead.

Sen. Barack Obama is America's future.  Even with everything that has been brought out to hurt or discredit him is not working and you know why?  As we have all been told since childhood, if you tell the truth, you won't have to remember what lie you told.  He is the most honest of men and women we have ever had in government, and I like that!!  What a pleasant change from the old politics.

LOL...good grief.  The "Ragin' Cajun" just gets nuttier and nuttier every year!!  Hillary is like Jesus??  Man oh man oh man!  In her dreams!!  BTW, honesty and Obama or any politician for that matter, is pretty much an oxymoron.

No Patsy, I have to disagree with you about Senator Obama.  He is the most truthful presidential candidate we (I) have ever seen.  He is open, he has tried unsuccessfully to stay above all the back biting and nit-picking, but when the crap is thrown at him every single day by the Clintons, what should he do?  If he doesn't respond he is considered to have no back-bone and yet when he does respond, he is being seen as negative.

HEY EVERYBODY: Everybody knows that James Carville is a bald-headed, left-wing loon kept on a leash by the Clintons, who release him periodically so he can attack and bite somebody. AND MKOOHIO: Are you for real? It almost seems as though your Sen. Obama can "walk on water". Perhaps he is the "New Messiah" that a lot of dummycrats believe he is. Or perhaps you should study the posts from a "real" OHIO. Obama is as liberal, left-wing, and un-American as you can get--a hater of the 2nd Amendment--a worshipper of big socialist government, and a liar! I suggest you read the OBAMA THREADS here on FS to get a proper education about your "hero". Good grief!!!

Carville has been known as the Ragin' Cajun since he first came on the scene.  Personally, I think he looks like the devil's twin separated at birth, but I digress.  I wouldn't put the label "truthful" on a person who has known about the "reverend wrong" and kept his mouth shut about it until it came to light.  An honest person would have put the pastor in his place when he first heard the hateful words being preached.  He wouldn't continue to stay in the church.  He wouldn't continue to donate to the church.  And he certainly wouldn't let his kids listen to such hate.  He was also less than honest about where his donations come from.  You can check factcheck.org for other things about which he (and yes, ALL other pols) have been, shall we say, less than forthcoming?

Yes Oldone70 I am for real.  I have read some of the obama remarks and I disagree.  This is America and I am allowed to disagree.  I'm sorry you see my views as anything I'm trying to push on you, I'm not.  They are my views and mine alone.  I would not think of trying to change you or would I ever ridicule what you believe in.

I would also never throw a 20 year friendship out because my friend said something I disagreed with.  Pastors are real people with real emotions and real feelings.  Pastors have gone down in disgrace over things they've done that were against every priciple they preached from the pulpit, I have seen Pastors cry over their sins and ask the parishoners to forgive them, and the loyal flocks did just that.  I have also listened to several sermons given by Pator Wright and there was nothing in them like the sound bites we have been hearing every single day for the last 2 weeks on the media.  Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Well, as the saying goes, mko, you are judged by the company you keep.  If Obama wants to stay pals with Wright, that's certainly his perogative.  So too is it the voters' perogative to consider Obama's friends, combine it with his not saluting the flag, calls his own grammy a "typical white woman", etc.  If they put 2 and 2 together and come up with he's not very pro-America and has racist tendencies, they can hardly be blamed.   Imagine a candidate who's preacher/friend has a history of talking about how whites have to work in order to supply blacks with a welfare check, and proclaims the church unashamedly white and pro-European/aryan, and their spouse admits to finally (at the tender age of 40 or 50-something) being proud of this country, and calls his grammy a "typical black person", etc., are you REALLY going to take that candidate seriously?  Are you REALLY going to put the label "honest" on them??  Come on, you know you wouldn't!

HEY, MKOOHIO: Feel free to disagree all you want here on FS. I often disagree with my compatriots here. It's obvious to me that Obama would never throw out his "20 year friendship" with his dear and glorious "pastor" who has been saying much the same thing for that entire 20 year period, because OBAMA AGREES WITH HIS PASTOR, and only recently has discovered how "disagreeble" Pastor Wright has been, and how much his friend may have hurt his political campaign. And I'm all for casting "stones", especially at scoundrels like Clinton, McCain, Obama, and his nasty America-hating "pastor" and his "black liberation theology". I can think of many more I'd like to "cast stones" at also, but my arm is old and tired. (PS MKOOHIO: My "mother" isn't "Mother Earth", or "Father Sun", and my national anthem isn't Kumbaya. Let there be liberty and justice on earth, and let it be regained here in our country by patriots determined to respect our Constitution once again. That's the only way we'll have "peace on Earth". And I DESPISE your wretched "peace" symbol!!!)

Yes I am and Yes we can!!!  I am a typical white woman and I am also 56 years old. Senator Obama will stay friends with his Pastor as I would hope he would.  It is career politicians who will throw their friends and family aside in hope of getting one more vote, but Senator Obama will not.  Yes I am a typical white woman and I don't take offense at that remark because yes, if I'm walking alone and see a man (of any color or race) my defenses are quickened.  It is called being cautious. You are nit-picking words and let's see, that reminds me of someone.....uhhhh...oh yes, the Clintons!!  Is that who you're voting for?  and to bring up welfare checks?  come on, there are whites on welfare too.  I've worked my whole life and for my taxes to go to help my fellow countryman, I have no problem with, BUT my tax dollars going to support and sustain an unjust war.....I don't like that at all.

Personal note:  patsy this is fun exchanging ideas and thoughts.  I hope I'm not making you angry because that is not my intention and if I am, I'm sorry.

Yeah, right, si se puede!  I'm a "typical white woman" too, and pushing 60.  A man who will stay friends with a racist, but throw his grammy under the bus is no man in my eyes.  He's a POS.  Voting for Clinton?  In a pig's eye!  That dirtbag got my vote in 92, and because of him, I'll never vote for a democrat again in my life.  I'm glad you picked up on the welfare/black stuff....it's as stupid as the crap coming out of Wright's mouth, isn't it?  Racist, half truth BS.  That's why I put it in as an example of putting the shoe on the other foot.  And no, I'm not angry.  Not in the least.  You should have seen the "argument" I had with my sister yesterday.  She and her daughter are "typical" wild eyed liberals...her husband is extremely conservative and we were in agreement on most things.  The "tie breaker" was my mother who came down on either side depending on the subject.  It was quite entertaining, to say the least.  I don't have a problem paying taxes either...provided I see something useful from them.  If I want to take care of my fellow citizen, I prefer do it through private charity, not Uncle Sam.  I think it would be interesting to see people be able to earmark where their taxes go.  On your 1040, you could say, "10% to education, 20% to military, 70% to social programs", or what have you.  Would be interesting to see-- just once-- where taxpayers place their priorities.

No, mko, Oldone isn't mean.  He just tells it like it is.  Lord knows I've disagreed with him on some things, and on others we're regular bobsey twins.  I rather like his feisty style.  Besides, how can I be angry with someone who likes fried clams....REAL ones!!

Can't you understand that even though Barack Obama has taken their support and has denounced none of them---that it doesn't matter?

Associations don't mean a thing---don't you understand? Even after hearing  the hate spew out of their mouths, why can't you be proud that our next President has such associates?  Its "really" not a matter of judgment, can't you see...can't you understand????

Well, since this is the 2nd time today I've read that quote from the Bible misused, I have to say something.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

This is another counterfeiting of the Scriptures many have tried to use to shame us for what we do in his name. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" is not  speaking judging. Let me explain.

Using the KJV this time, in John 8:1 - 11 scribes and Pharisees had caught a woman in the act of adultery (the woman commonly referred to as the prostitute) and told Jesus who was teaching in the temple that the Mosaic Law required she be stoned to death. Trying to make an opportunity of this to trick Jesus that they might accuse Him, they, with stones in hand, asked Jesus what He says about the Law. After Jesus tried to ignore their repeated questioning, He told them "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." One by one each man dropped his stone and walked away.

Jesus was not arguing with the judgment. Nor was Jesus arguing the law nor the woman's guilt. Jesus was arguing with our right to execute the woman. Once all the men had dropped their stones Jesus confronted the woman and asked her if any of the men were still there to condemn her. When she answered "No man, Lord", Jesus told her that neither did He - He forgave her of her sin. He did not excuse the sin of adultery/prostitution, he forgave her of it. All that is sinful before forgiveness is still sinful after forgiveness. Not only was Jesus not afraid to call a sin a sin, He was not afraid to call a sinner a sinner. He even reminded her of the sin of adultery/prostitution by telling her "Go and sin no more."

The point of this as applicable to this article? Jesus did not argue the act of judging the chosen behavior of the adulteress/prostitute

-----

You can read more about this here.  It also include info on "Judge not lest ye be judged".  Many people try to use these verses to make Christians think it is wrong to notice bad behavior.

Obama is a liar and has associated with a horrible racist for 20 years.  He has listened to his sermons and believes them.  He would be a horrible president for many reasons.

Patsy...That would be a great idea, and I agree with you that we should absolutely be able to say where our taxes go. Healthcare and education, priority.

Do you really think Sen Obama threw his grandma under the bus by being honest and telling us what she felt as a typical white woman who is afraid of walking alone?  I think it could've been worded better, but I honestly don't think he threw her under the bus by that remark.  I have black female friends who feel the same way I do, afraid to walk alone.  In this day and age of so much violence, I think it would be dumb NOT to be a little afraid...I think Senator Obama should've said typical woman and not tagged a color to it, but having said that, Yes, yes I still believe Senator Obama is the best choice.

Texas tommy two shoes I do not think Senator Obama is a Messiah.  I do however think he can do more for this country than any one else running.  I do think he will place priorities where they need to be, healthcare, education, this awful war, the economy, the oil prices, people losing their homes, corporations pulling retirements from individuals who earned them by being a loyal employee.

I am not naive enough to think this world is ever going to be perfect, but I really wish for it to be better.
