A few days ago I read an article about the new Democrat budget plan that most Dems support including Obama and Hillary.  It was on all the major outlets like Fox, CBS, etc.

The original version, which can only be found here now, contains this paragraph:

Under both Democratic plans, tax rates would increase by 3 percentage points for each of the 25 percent, 28 percent and 33 percent brackets. At present, the 25 percent bracket begins at $31,850 for individuals and $63,700 for married couples. The 35 percent bracket on incomes over $349,700 would jump to 39.6 percent.

The next day, I typed in the first few words of that paragraph to post a link to the story on a forum and it came up in the search engines on all the same sites, but only the "friendlier" edited version was then available.  Apparently, the search engines had not yet gone through the sites again to update.  The whole article was changed and most importantly, that entire paragraph is now gone.  You can read the edited version on Fox news here

The deletion of that paragraph has led to the ability of Obama to outright lie on Monday by saying the following: (you can find this full story here.)

He later said the economic stimulus package signed by Bush needs to be supplemented by enacting this year the tax cuts for middle-income Americans that he had earlier proposed for the first year of the next administration. And he hinted that, if market conditions continue to deteriorate, he might even reconsider his call to roll back Bush tax cuts on capital gains and dividends.

Obviously, raising the tax on the 25% bracket which includes inviduals making only $31,000 or so per year is not lowering taxes on the middle class.  Thanks to friendly editing, most people won't realize this, though.
