We have only ourselves to blame.  The libs have blocked every opportunity we have to tap into our own natual resources.  We are not building oil refineries.  We are not building nuclear power plants.  We are not tapping into our vast coal resources.  Clinton made the large coal supply in southwest Utah off limits by declaring it a national monument.   Although China is drilling for oil off the shores of Cuba, we are kept from drilling for our own oil.  We have enough resourses in this country to sustain us, but between the libs and the enviornmentalists we are dependent on other countries.

Agree, FW. The libs have blocked every opportunity we have to tap into our own natual resources.

Liberals have stopped anything in defense of and attached to  self-reliance of this country.  Their mindset prevents so much good as well as progress from happening.  In an unrelated article, here is somewhat of an explanation as to why they think the way they do:

Top psychiatrist concludes liberals clinically nuts
Eminent psychiatrist makes case ideology is mental                      disorder!

Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by the two major candidates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination can only be understood as a psychological disorder.

Lol, Kaks, there is definitely something wrong with those people and now there is an expert opinion!  I guess it's not just the water afterall, but they were born that way.

"Rossiter says the kind of liberalism being displayed by the two major candidates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination can only be understood as a psychological disorder."

It isn't just the Dem party presidential candidates.  With far too few exceptions, almost everybody running for political office, especially at the national level, in either party is afflicted, John McCain included.

Don't forget our sending all our possible $'s to China, so their demand either increases(stockpiling into their Military Reserve) or is artificially hiked by them.

Is the goal of the powers that be to maniplate the various factors to where oil goes to $200 per barrel in record time?and it is very strange how our leaders can smash Saddam, yet cannot build a simple efective wall to keep Raza from dilutung our nation. Is the acualization of the NAU a 'hidden' goal?

Has anybody read the The Grand Chessboard written by Zibigniew Brezezinski?http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Chessboard-American-Geostrategic-Imperatives/dp/0465027261
....and it is 'interesting' that Barack Obama tabbed Zbigniew Brzezinski as his top foreign policy adviser

And Brezezinski's daughter, Mika, works for MSNBC on Morning Joe (former Republican US Rep Joe Scarborough's show--I think it is 6am to 9am mornings eastern time), and that show has been SO PRO Obama, it is sickening, I stopped watching it several months ago, as I just got tired of the crap being forced down our throats about how wonderful Obama was, how mean the Clintons were against him to actually suggest someone CHECK HIS VOTING RECORDS, how nice a man he was, what WONDERFUL, tear inducing speeches he gives, and then Joe would follow up with "don't get me wrong, I like Hillary too, she is a real nice lady once you meet her face to face, it is just her policies are SO WRONG!!"...yet not once does the addlepated (drunken??) nit wit ever suggest that Obama's policies are exactly the same as Hillary's if not even further to the left than she is!!  I mean, MSNBC is TOTALLY the Obama network!  And they don't even do a disclaimer since Mika works there--she is pretty horrible anyway, she must be pushing 50 and yet pouts and acts like a 10 year old, so much for setting the women's movement back 150 years!  And, she has made it clear she never disagrees with daddy.....

If you have to hyphenate your race--you are NOT an American!! This from a French-German-English-Irish-AMERICAN! See how silly this can become?

From an optimistic viewpoint, just maybe by shackling our own oil industries we'll once again meet the challenge and come up with a source of enegy that will surpass oil anyway. Like Hydrogen. I honestly believe that hydrogen is the way to go. It's clean, efficient, supplies will be unlimited, and it'll take politics out of this global mess. Hallelujah! You know!, "Necessity is the mother of invention."

OH!  Almost forgot, it'll silence the global warming idiots too.

The record price of gasoline has little to do with supply, lack of refineries or the unwillingness to do the drilling here at home.  That is all a head fake for you the masses, to keep you from understanding the real reason.  The real reason is inflation, the dollar is plunging, from financing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  When you don't raise taxes to finance a war, but instead resort to printing the money to pay the bills, this is an end result.  When you create more dollars in circulation it takes more dollars to buy something.  This is starting to show up in wheat/food prices and other areas as well.   Oh yeah I forgot, we are not supposed to talk about that.
