Oprah And Friends Teach Course On New Age Christ! (A Slain Christ has No Meaning?)

I received this in an e-mail and had to share it with as many people as possible!   I went and checked it out myself and sure enough they are in fact teaching the course!  What a bunch of bunk!!!

 This is very discouraging news to hear about one who has such tremendous influence on the general public.

       Jesus Christ being reinvented, redefined, and blasphemed and, this false New- Age Christ teaching is about to make huge inroads into the world, with the help of the queen of television talk shows, Oprah Winfrey. 
 
       Oprah Winfrey, beginning January 1, 2008, on her daily radio program will offer a year-long course on the New Age Christ , in a lesson a day and completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles "Workbook."
 
       Listeners will be encouraged to buy A Course in Miracles for the year-long course, and an
audio version, recited by Richard (John Boy Walton) Thomas will be available on compact disc. 
 
       Those who finish the Course will have a wholly redefined spiritual mindset-a New Age worldview that include the beliefs that there is no sin, no evil, no devil A Course in Miracles teaches its students to rethink everything they believe about God and life, and, bluntly states: "This is a course in mind training" and is dedicated to "thought reversal."
 
       The Course in Miracles -in reality-is the truth of the Bible turned upside down.
 
       Oprah told her television audience that Williamson's book, A Course in Miracles was one of her favorite books, and that she had already bought a thousand copies and would be handing them out to everyone in her studio audience. Oprah's endorsement skyrocketed Williamson's book to the top of the New York Times bestseller list .
 
       A Course in Miracles is allegedly a "new revelation" from "Jesus" to help humanity work through these troubled times. This "Jesus"-who bears no doctrinal resemblance to the Bible's Jesus Christ - began delivering channeled teachings in 1965 to a Columbia University Professor of Medical Psychology, Helen Schucman
 
       One day Schucman heard an "inner voice" stating, "This is a course in miracles. Please take notes." For seven years she diligently took spiritual dictation from this voice that described himself as "Jesus."
 
       Here are some quotes from the "Jesus" voice of A Course in Miracles :
 
       �         "There is no sin . . . "
 
       �          A "slain Christ has no meaning."
 
       �         "The journey to the cross should be the last ' useless journey."

       �         "The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation."

        Popular author Wayne Dyer told his PBS television audience that the "brilliant writing" of A Course in Miracles would produce more peace in the world
 
       The Course in Miracles-based book, Forgiveness, continues to be sold in Robert Schuller's Crystal Cathedral bookstore as Schuller prepares to host a January 17-19, 2008, "Rethink Conference" at his Crystal Cathedral.

      It's not surprising at all that Oprah Winfrey is supporting Barak Obama!!!          

Christians....Take heed!!  And PLEASE pass this one on....if you never forward anything else! 

 

With out the cross there is no Christ. Jesus Died Was buried rose on the third day, For all whom know the fact's. Oprah is doing the work of the devil. Never cared for her. We spend to much time worshiping people, Then the God that made us. Run as fast as you can away from this junk. Believe every word of God and let every man be a liar. Which she is. Run!

How right you are!  She needs a wake up call from the public that she is suppose to be so popular with!  I can't believe people are that easily led!

It's all about wealth and more money, as if she didn't have enough.  She does do good though, so we should give her that credit.  As a wise man used to say, "There are many different christ's running around the landscape, but there is only one Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God."  So, should people go after a false christ they will eventually find themselves lost or spiritually empty again.  Only Christ Jesus, Immanuel, born of a vigin and crucified for our redemption can fulfill the needs of our lost souls.  The others will always fail.  All the $'s and gold, diamonds, silver, platinum, and real estate holdings in the entire world cannot buy anyones way into God's Kingdom.  Kneeling before King Christ and His perfect sarifice at the cross with a repentent heart asking Him to forgive you and be your Lord and Saviour will do. That's it.

By their fruits, you shall know them.

Oprah, along with WalMart has brainwashed us for the last 20 some years instilling in us that we can't do without them anymore.  The herd, without the Lord in their daily lives feel the need to fill the void in them, a void that only Christ can satisfy.  I heard a sermon on this once where the Pastor described it as a puzzle with a missing piece.  Oprah has made herself into that missing piece by hammering herself into her audience for all these years to a point now that none of them can distinguish between good and evil anymore.

You all are so right, especially comparing her to a devil.  THe evil one comes in many shapes and forms, and can take on such a beckoning form that we can't help ourselves but to follow.
Only if we are strongly anchored in the Word of God, and follow Jesus as our Savior do we have the will and the strenght to resist.

The Ten Commandments start with:

I am the Lord your God,

Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.

This includes Oprah, among others. Sadly, people are too lost to realize it.

Pray for them with all you got.

I can see the ticket now. Barak Hussein Obama and Oprah Winfrey. They both hide thier 'tails" very well, but I think people are beginning to realize they have one! This is good. Oprah does good. She gave millions of american money to build a school in africa-which , by the way, is under attack do to child molesting. Yea, good way to spend her money. Between her and the almighty Barak, (which was in my state last week) are being worshipped more than any God I have seen worshipped. People were fainting and crying when Obama walked in the Nutter Center. The news reported that he was the "chosen one".  hMMMM? This should make your toes curl! The television can be on and on every station I see Barak Obama and his ads. I cannot get away from him. Everytime I look at the tv, his face is on it. So...I keep it shut off. I just got so sick of him being IN MY FACE all the time.  So many promises. So many stupid Americans. It amazes me that they don't see what is happening. Or are just too lazy to care. Those people need to stay home on election day. Between him & Oprah, we will be in deep doodoo. Even deeper than we are now. He is running on change. Thats for sure and not a lie. But I also have a good idea what "changes" will be brought about (as he is allowed to LIE if it best suits his agenda). All you have to do is take a look at Oprah and him together and listen to what they say , to know they are alot alike and I am sure Oprah is Muslim. Her actions tell me so. However, she is allowed to lie about her religion if it suits the purpose, and I am sure she does. It's not hard to see that they are in this together and they will be wanting us all to have a copy of the Quran and be living it, or be beheaded. Thats a future I just can't wait for! (sarcasim) Change isn't always for the better. With the two of them, I know it won't be "better for us". VOTE for anyone besides the one with the tail, or we are had.

Well, if a science fiction writer can write a fictional book called Dianetics and get people to join his new, crazy religion, why can't a psychologist with schizophrenia do the same thing?

This is just so insane.  People have lost their way and don't know the truth and then Oprah comes along and feeds them dangerous lies.  I wish someone with her influence would teach a 365 day class about the real Jesus.  Think how many people she could really help then!

I think we all need to contact her and let her know that she's failing and harming her audience with this bogus message.  She could do so much more for them by teaching about the real Jesus.

She does do a lot of good charity work but this is seriously misled and dangerous.

wow! what a great idea ConcernedMom. It truely would make a huge difference if she was teaching the truth, instead of whatever she has developed as her own religion and is trying to pass it on to others. A new religion. Man, this woman has an ego that just won't quit! I think it is a great idea to confront her on this. I don't feel we can just sit by and say nothing. She needs to know just how many people she is offending. We need a form letter, email to send her. A mass email from Grassroots might , just might make her think twice. If not, at least we tried. Then she will know ALL people do not worship HER and her beliefs. It looks as though she thinks she can change everything about us, right down to out beliefs. She needs to have her ego shot down a notch or two. She is not the person I would ever listen to about my religion. But it is a dangerous place to go and she needs to be put on notice that we are not going to put up with it. We need a mass email sent to her.  Who does she think she is saying there is a "new age Christ?" That is the most rediculous thing i have ever heard. Like she can take Christ and turn him into whatever she wants him to be and then teach it to our children and lost souls. It's scarey, if she actually starts doing this. She has to be stopped dead in her tracks.

This is not a new religion.  It has been around for a long time.  Remember Shirley McLaine?  She believe's "We Are God"  In her book "Out on a Limb"

People who follow Oprah, will vote the way she wants and will follow a false christ and both will be damned.  Heads up people, the true Christ will not be mocked.  He is comming soon.

PRAY, PEOPLE, PRAY!!

Joke:  A little girl was loudly misbehaving in church.  As her dad removed her through a front side door, she looked back  over his shoulder at the congregation and yelled: Pray for me, people, pray!

As Christians we dislike this latest escapade of Oprah's.  Many of us have long ago seen  through her mealy-mouthed goodness  as the UNbeliever she is and refused to ever watch her shows.

But do we have to just silently endure the existance of these classes?  NO!!!   We as believers in the ONLY JESUS have a powerful weapon: PRAYER!

So pray, people, pray and bring your umbrellas (another old joke about praying for rain).  This isn't a laughing matter, so why do jokes keep inserting themselves?  Maybe in God's eternity, what seems to us to be a calamity, is no more that a Joke to Him?

Seriously, we need to pray about this:  pray that this venture will not be a money maker: pray that many people who might be tempted to join will instead be led away from it, pray for the souls of all who join these classes, that they will see through the falseness of it and be led to see the real Jesus for the first time or to a stronger understanding of Him.

Pray that Oprah's grip on the people of our country and the world be loosened.

Pray for our nation, that God will bring to our people  a Christian reawakening, that we will repent of our sins as a nation and return spiritually to our Christian past.

In fact, I will make this my first prayer on this matter.  In Jesus Holy Name,  Amen

Now I ask that all who are concerned about this pray as the Holy Spirit leads You to pray.

Also letters to Oprah might not help, but they certainly cannot hurt.  With letters, as with prayers, I believe the more sent, the more powerful and effective they are.

All of this steam has been created by ONE email going around, which I've received a couple of times, written by....we not know who.   However, I will tell you, it's not written by a very knowledgable person.    A Course in Miracles is not a horrific study, except viewed by a narrow, one track interpretation of religion.   And, I am fairly conservative in my religious views.   I am not a wild eyed believer of strange views.

Don't be so reactionary to one opinion.   CIM is not bad.   In fact, it's quite interesting and causes one to think about what he might or might not really believe and spurs on continued investigation into the subject which is good. 

Not taking up for her per se, but because of her enormous popularity, one has to believe that Oprah with her following is not one to promote half-baked stuff.    I actually think participating will encourage many to study further and will create a little responsibility in individuals.   I'm sure that's why she is doing it.
