A Letter From Fly-Over Country

Last night I got together with my neighbors in Murrells Inlet, SC. By unanimous decree, they decided to appoint me as their voice. We've decided that I will speak for all of us 'average' Americans who seldom have their voices heard. You know who I mean, the ones you never see on TV. We're all too busy working, raising our families, going to church and paying our taxes.
 
The reason I'm writing is to let you all know that we're getting pretty sick and tired of the media, the politicians and the snotty elites who keep claiming to speak for us. They don't.
 
A good example is all those candidates who say we want change. They're right about that, but the change we want is to be able to voice our own opinions without being called racist, sexist or homophobic. Another change we'd like is to be able to click on the tube and not be assaulted with  teenage pop-tarts, same-sex couples swapping spit, and sneering, anti-American self-annointed elites who give the US a bad name. They, most especially, don't speak for us.
 
We'd also like to let you all know that we can take care of our own neighbors and families just fine without some fancy uplifting government program that ends up doing more harm than good. We don't need welfare or subsidies or grants and we don't need government schools frightening our kids about 'global warming.' Most especially, we don't want our 4 year olds being taught how to put a condom on a banana or reading about Heather's two mommies. Mostly we'd just like government to get out of our way. Oh, and we'd also like all those patronizing idiots we see on the TV to quit claiming to speak for us. They don't.
 
One more thing: What's with this 'all politics, all the time?' Even Fox News has somehow gotten the notion that we care about who said what to whom, and about what the candidates ate for breakfast on the campaign trail. Hey, it's a good nine months before we vote, so put a cork on the eternally breaking news about the latest he said - she said. All that stuff signifies absolutely nothing to us at this stage of the game. While it's satisfying to see Hillary getting what's coming to her, most of us honestly try try not to gloat at the misfortune of others. (I'm smiling right now, but I'm trying hard not to.)
 
Us guys in flyover country are the backbone of this country. We love our country and take seriously the privilege, and duty, of voting. We're the guys ..

I appreciated your blog above. I also went to the link. I live in Acworth GA, and you can speak for me anytime. high morals and love and caring for our young people are imperative. I like and agree with all you wrote.

One of life's ironies is, as a younger man I felt the press, movies and TV were too restrictive. If I could have foreseen what the changes would be, I would have had a lobotomy for thinking things should be more open.

I am not an overboard bible thumper, (although I believe in the good book), but I am constantly embarrassed and angry with what I see and hear almost everyday.

I sometimes expect to hear God's voice telling us to mind what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah.

 

PS Our children's innocent years are being stolen from them by the filth that pervades our society.

No such luck.....Like all the rest the top (qualified) canidate's , you would be quitely knocked down and out before you even get started. MoveOn and their staff in the national news media will see to that....But if they have ammo that they can use against you later, they will let you MoveOn. See the ploy?

A lot of people do not see this bias control taking place....because, you know , they are not going to report this violation of journalist standards on themselves....They own and dominate the source and they can destroy you in a heartbeat. They didn't hijack this election,they own it. Isn't this what Hitler was doing at one time?

This is a dangerous situation and it has to be stopped....I know this will be an impossible task, but this election needs to be halted and a lawsuit file on "media bias." Get it to the US Supreme Court before Hussien Obama put's the Rev. Jackson up there.

We are fixing to lose our right's to decide the best direction that this great nation needs to go to continue to be safe, free and productive ...We are also be fixing to inherit 50 million illegal criminal trespassers that will be voting under Democrat control.....This will be the demise of the Republican Party...Thank you McCain for not stepping down when you know your not going to win and  drag us down too! Is this your "hardheaded" payback plan?

 Not to worry. The left and the media are doing just fine hanging themselves. The best thing we can do is to just give them enough rope. Don't get discouraged..the American people have shown time and again that they will stand up if politicos cross the line. Remember what just happened with immigration? All our so-called elected officials tried to ram it down our throats and we didn't stand for it. Ditto: the media. Americans now know they can't be trusted and are tuning out in huge numbers.

Try to trust the real Americans...the ones from fly-over country. We're out there, we're patriotic and we will do what needs to be done to preserve our country. I believe this.

I just hope you are right......and I have my fingers crossed.

A majority of the time ( believe this or not ) I am a total but very cautious optimist ,but , in this case I feel that we are the one's that have recieved the "rope." I just hope that true American Patriots are still the "silent majority" and just haven't stepped forward yet.

But we all need to stop hoping and take the "bull by the horns"NOW! We've got to demonstrate a tremendous show of force and hurt them in the right places....The old pocket book. Let's go to the sources that are bringing us down ....and turn them OFF!

1.Turn off the two "O's" --Oprah & Obama.....(same)

2.Turn off all of the liberal morning talk shows.

3. Turn off all of Hollywood award shows and their political experts: Streisand, Baldwin,Clooney,Sarandon, Penn, Gere...just to name a few--www.celebpolitics.org

4. Drop your subscriptions to the liberal press....The NY Times, Dallas Morning News....on and on.

Well, I've got that covered!  I can't listen to libidiot radio for more than 30 seconds so I don't even bother turning it on anymore.  I haven't watched Oprah since she turned Ms. Goody Two Shoes about 20 or more years ago.  I haven't watched the Academy awards or any other awards show since Jack Palance did his one hand push ups on stage, or Marlon Brando refused the Oscar because of our treatment of the Native Americans....whichever one was more recent.  I can't remember the last time I went to the movies....Perfect Storm or Passion of the Christ, whichever was later.  And I dropped all my subscriptions to all newspapers.  I never watch Clinton News Network, and I don't watch SeeBS at all.  I refuse to buy Ben & Jerry's ice cream because they are sympathizers with cop killer Mumia Abu Jamal.  I refuse to shop at Home Depot because of their catering to illegals.  Anything else like this, count me in.  To quote my idiot governor, Obama loving Duval Patrick...TOGETHER WE CAN!

I want to second that.  I even go as far as turning off any channel that shows anything about the idiot celebs, may it be Britney or Susan, and I refuse to buy any products advertised by them. Even Fox News is giving them to much credit by even talking about them,i. e. Rosie and friends.

Oprah is a brain insult, and so are all the Magazines being featured at every check out counter.  The Passion of the Christ is the only movie I have watched in a long time, and I don't buy Tyson Chicken because of the illegals.  

The most interesting part about this is to see peoples faces when you talk about walking the walk, and I have noticed that most are either too ignorant or to lazy to do likewise.  It seems to be easier to have fun and fit in, than to be true to yourself and your Creator.

Other than to say, "I'll bring them home?"  Never.  And obviously I missed it, but I heard on Laura Ingraham that the moosetwits in Hollywood actually had the troops "from the streets of Baghdad" thank THEM for making the movies they watch and for letting them be a part of the awards.  Are they serious????  When in the last 30 or more years did you ever hear Hollyweird say THANK YOU to the troops?  I also heard Jon Stewart made a lame "joke" about how the war movies have been flops but they must keep making them and not let the people show any power.  If the troops are waiting for a thank you from Hollywood, they'll be waiting a long, long, looooooooooong time.
