We need poll workers with integrity. Go to you state's Secretary of State web site and get info.

I started this thread in regard to a post on the"Mad Cow Obama" thread where blaze77535 states some difficulty in the voting process.

I am a poll worker myself, and know the different situations that may arise.  I also know that there is a worker shortage.  If we want to make sure that the voting process is an orderly one, we need to get involved ourselves.

What happens thereafter is something that I do not have control over, and it is something that we together can change some day, but this might be a first step.

Poll workers mean nothing compared to the lack of paper ballots and the unreliability of the voting machines. You must still be under the impression that this is a government with the people's interest in mind. Fascism, in reality, does not have to be as obvious as the stormtroopers in StarWars.

You're doing the country a great service. I wish you luck in November. I'm going to be a poll worker next election cycle.

I have worked at the polls also.  They put me in the Judge chair, where I had to look up everyone's name in the book when they came in.  I started losing my hearing and people got mad when I could not understand them when they told me their name.

I told them I would rather sit in the Clerk's chair, where I would only have to hand people their ballots and am still registered with the county election board as an alternate if they need someone because a regular cannot show up.
