Nine Illegal Aliens Arrested on Interstate 99

Nine illegal immigrants from Mexico and El Salvador were rounded up in Blair County Monday.

It happened shortly after 1:00pm along Interstate 99 in Snyder Township. State Police at Hollidaysburg pulled over three cars traveling together on the highway in Freedom Township.

The occupants of the cars were not able to provide legal documentation. The nine men were taken into custody and lodged in the Cambria County Prison. An Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officials says the aliens were in the United State illegally.

ICE says it will immediately begin deportation proceedings.
