Do you know what this is?

It is a muslim call to prayers tower. It was sent to me from someone in St. Louis. The loud speakers at the top will be broadcasting the call to prayers five times a day. The structure next door is a mall.

Minaret Tower Coming to South St. Louis City July 11, 2007

Posted by Webmaster in Religion, St. Louis Local.
trackback

South City Journal:
To the 300-foot tower above St. Francis de Sales Church and the 175-foot towers above St. Anthony of Padua Church, another tower will rise above a local house of worship.
The Islamic Community Center, 4666 Lansdowne Ave., is in the process of obtaining city approval to build a 107-foot-high minaret at the southwest corner of its building.
Imam Muhamed Hasic, spiritual leader of the largely-Bosnian center, said loud calls for prayers won’t be issued from the tower. Since there’s no Muslim community in the immediate area, that’s not necessary, he said.
But the coming minaret tower and the accompanying mosque, on Lansdowne a little bit east of Kingshighway, is very near the prime Bosnian neighborhoods in south city. It may not be “necessary” now, but wait a decade or two, and it will be pumping out the prayer call five times a day. The fact that the Lansdowne address has three sixes is probably just a coincidence.

It's called tolerance folks, & it's a good thing. As a matter of fact, it's a great thing

We must tolerate we've been told. Our entire way of life is now based on tolerance

We must.....

Tolerate those who hate us

Tolerate those who want to kill us

Tolerate invading hordes from Mexico, Latin America & the Middle East

Tolerate those who have no intention of assimilating

Tolerate those who's culture is based on medieval doctrines

Tolerate those from third world, backward & criminal cultures

Tolerate crimes committed against American citizens by foreign invaders

Tolerate our towns & cities being turned into third world barrios

Tolerate that our children's futures are being destroyed

That's what our elites tell us. That's what our media tells us. That's what our academia class tells us. That's what our business class tells us & that's what our politicians tell us

We must tolerate. We must embrace more & more invaders. We must learn their language & their customs

Why? Because a tiny minority of elitists tell us to. 0.1 percent of the citizens tell the rest of the 300 million that's how they want it & that's how it will be. Just shut your mouth & take it

The sheeple don't understand this. They in fact see signs that it's the worst thing possible in a Republic. Yet they've been told over & over it's good for them. They have no idea why it's good but they accept it. Our elites must know what's good for us they chant

And the mindless sheeple bow down & kiss the boots of the god "diversity"

Why would the people of St. Louis let this happen, or did they even have any say about it?

I would start a petition saying what an eye sore this is,  and see if it can be torn down.  (it is an eyesore)  We must stop this, it is something that has never been present in the U.S. in all of our history and shouldn't be tolerated!  Our country is based on God!  If they want this type of thing then they need to go back to their own countries.  This is open sign that they are not assimilating and bringing their cultures with them.  Unacceptable!   (there may be laws on the height of towers or buildings in the area!)  That should be checked out...

This is not the first in its kind.  Hamtramik(spelling?)MI has had speakers for years, calling for prayers.

Dearborn,MI is a Muslim town in itself. When I happen through it I can only read about 10% of the signs anymore.

Sad, but true.

HEY MARTHA501: Tolerance is really wonderful, isn't it? Tolerance is "tolerable" as long as we "toe the line" that our masters demand of us. As long as we tolerate the "god" of diversity, things will continue to rapidly deteriorate. Those "peaceful" people from south of the border, or from those "highly developed" countries of the middle East, will, I'm sure, willingly tolerate us, the remnant of real Americans, when they become the new majorities in the next 30-50 years. Sure they will.

Well, seems to me it is time to forget/rescind our noise ordinances (decibel levels allowed) and bring back our church bells. Although I know it will probably be condemned by those non-Christians, what is good for the goose is good for the gander, isn't it?

Besides, I miss church bells.

The City of Dayton in Ohio recently TURNED DOWN the agreement to build a mosque in Montgomery county....HUGE SUPPORT from Native Ohioans to squelch the project had an impact along with a few carefully placed "zoning" restrictions by the City of Dayton...it is the only thing they have done right in over 30 years. We didn't get the name "Bullet-ville" for nothing!

You want to practice Islam? Move to Iran...get OUT of MY COUNTRY!

I pity St Louis but they brought it upon themselves- they condoned it and allowed the structure to be built. Imagine what would happen if we were to erect a rather large cross in the middle of downtown Tehran.....it would NOT be allowed- get the picture?! We are allowing this to happen before our eyes...where is the outrage from homegrown Missourians? I hear NOTHING!

They can't gain these footholds unless we ALLOW it. Obviously the ACLU has its paws all over this one- time to really fight this in each of our communities.

They were trying to build a Mosque in Texas,  But were upset with the Pig farmer who lived next to it.  He started to have weekend Pig Races and that Really ticked them off,  Don't know if this ever got settled. But we were on the side of the pig farmer

Texas Man Stages Pig Races to Protest Islamic Neighbor's Plans to Build Mosque

Friday, January 05, 2007

  •

KATY, Texas —  When an Islamic group moved in next door and told Craig Baker the pigs on his family's 200-year-old Texas farm had to go, he and his swine decided to fight back.

In protest of being asked to move, Davis began staging elaborate pig races on Friday afternoons — one of the Islamic world's most holy days.

Video: Oinkers Are Off to the Races

Craig's neighbors, the Katy Islamic Association, have plans to build a mosque and community compound on the 11 acres they purchased alongside his farm.

Baker, 46, a stone-shop owner whose family has owned the farm for two centuries, says the association knew about the pigs when they bought the property, and it's not fair for them to ask him to get rid of the animals.

"I am just defending my rights and my property," Baker said. "They totally disrespected me and my family."

Initially Baker and Kamel Fotouh, the president of the 500-member Islamic Association, were on good terms. But things turned sour at a town meeting, where Baker says Fotouh insulted him by asking him to move.

"That was the last straw for me ... calling me a liar, especially in front of three or four hundred people at that meeting," Baker said. "Mr. Fotouh said it would be a good idea if I considered packing up my stuff and moving out further to the country."

Fotouh says his group has to construct the mosque because the others in the Houston area don't provide the kind of environment they are looking for.

"We feel that these mosques are not fulfilling the needs of the community as they should. So, our vision is to have an integrated facility," said Fotouh.

He said the pig races no longer bother him or his members, and they're going ahead with their plans to construct the mosque.

Muslims do not hate pigs, he added, they just don't eat them.

Neighbors have been showing support for Baker's races, even coming in the pouring rain and giving donations ranging from $100 to $1000 to sponsor the events.

Last Friday, more than 100 attended the pig races, and many say they don't want the mosque either. Some fear it will appear out of place and hurt their property values.
