Somali Muslim Cabdriver who ran down passenger gets 6 years in prison

comment by Jerry Gordon

mastlogo.gifRemember the incident last year with a Somali Muslim emigre Nashville cab driver running down and seriously injuring a fare after an anti-Semitic incident? Well, he finally got his justice. Ibrahim Seikh Ahmed, 38, will get to serve two concurrent six year terms in jail for his actions.

The presiding judge at his trial said during sentencing:

“I don’t find anything minor about what he did, and it’s very fortunate somebody hasn’t been killed by this man,” Judge Wyatt said.

Here’s what the crux of the deranged event was all about: Jihadi Islamic Hitlerian hate.

Note this comment during the trial:

The talk deteriorated, with Ahmed making anti-Semitic remarks, Imbus said.

“He started talking about how what Hitler was trying to do was great, getting rid of the Jews,” Imbus said. “I’d never heard anyone say that before.”

Still angered by the exchange, Ahmed hit Imbus with the cab, leaving him with a broken hip, pelvis and ankle.

“Jeremy and I have been good friends, and seeing his nearly lifeless body on the ground has really affected me emotionally and mentally.”

Another example of why we have to put the plug back in the legal immigration bottle to prevent Jihadis entering this country on our nickel and, as in this case, running us down with a vengeance.

A former Nashville cabdriver will serve six years in prison after pleading guilty to running down a passenger last year.

Ibrahim Seikh Ahmed, 38, admitted during his trial last month that he hit Jeremy Imbus with his cab after the two men had a heated argument about religion.

At his sentencing hearing on Thursday, Ahmed told Judge J. Randall Wyatt Jr. that when Imbus and his friend Andy Nelson, both visiting Nashville from Ohio, got into his cab, they disparaged the CD of readings from the Koran to which Ahmed was listening.

The talk deteriorated, with Ahmed making anti-Semitic remarks, Imbus said.

“He started talking about how what Hitler was trying to do was great, getting rid of the Jews,” Imbus said. “I’d never heard anyone say that before.”

Ahmed testified that Imbus kicked him in the head several times. Nelson, meanwhile, said he tried to break up the conflict by pulling Imbus from the cab and paying the fare.

Still angered by the exchange, Ahmed hit Imbus with the cab, leaving him with a broken hip, pelvis and ankle.

“Jeremy and I have been good friends, and seeing his nearly lifeless body on the ground has really affected me emotionally and mentally,” Nelson testified Thursday.

Ahmed admitted that his anger got the best of him and that he “utterly overreacted,” saying that being kicked in the head “changed my mood.”

Three weeks before the Feb. 18, 2007, incident, Ahmed had been placed on probation for leading police on a high-speed chase and hitting a parked vehicle after an attempted traffic stop.

“I don’t find anything minor about what he did, and it’s very fortunate somebody hasn’t been killed by this man,” Judge Wyatt said. Ahmed will serve two concurrent six-year prison sentences.
