Council to vote on ICE partnership
Groups plan to protest outside City Hall
By Eugene Driscoll STAFF WRITER

DANBURY -- A large turnout is expected for tonight's Common Council meeting, but city officials say only the first 120 people who arrive after the doors open at 7 will be allowed into City Hall.

The Common Council will vote on whether to authorize Danbury Police Chief Al Baker to enter into a partnership with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Lou Dobbs reported tonight (with video) that the city council approved the measure to train city police in enforcing illegal immigration laws.

Three busloads of protesters cam from out of town.
